The official blu-rays are only good for coasters!

still kicking my self for buying them, Hoth is completely blue, not to mention all the other screw ups.
The forum rules say you have to own them in order to get edits based on them, but nothing says you can't use them for coasters!

I was at best buy at 9am the day it came out, can't believe I keep giving George Lucas money lol.  At least Spielberg releases his Theatrical releases along side director's cuts or newer altered editions.

I have watched all 3 of Harmy's DE's on my 55 inch sanyo LCD in 6.1 surround with both of my daughters and we loved them, I got the blurays gave to me but when we watch Star Wars my girls say lets watch the Harmy's.

Keep up the great work Harmy, we appreciate all your hard work, looking forward to the 2.0's

haha that's awesome!  Even the kids prefer the Harmy's!

Help: looking for... 1997 Special Edition Preservations?
Time

Although hated my many, I would like to be able to get my '97 Special Edition on digital format.  Is it worth even bothering with VHS to DVD conversion? The quality would probably be pretty terrible, but at least I wouldn’t have to haul the VCR out of storage everytime I want to watch them.  These movies were the first time I was able to see Star Wars on the big screen so there is some sentimental value for me.  Would a Laserdisc rip be that much better than VHS? I’d have to invest in a player and the movies. Or are there '97 Preservations that already exist?

Info Wanted: Which OT preservation is right for me?

Dark Jedi V3s are definitely a valued addition to my collection, I was just able to obtain them recently.  The audio options and menus are a very nice touch as well.  It's really how they should have been released....I still remember the huge disappointment when watching the official GOUT release for the first time.  I'm grateful to the people who put in all the time to do these versions without getting anything in return.  It definitely makes watching Star Wars fun and enjoyable again.

Question for HDTV experts.
Time

Yes, HDMI, (ps3).  I've played around with all the settings in both my TV, and PS3, as well as my Sony Blu Ray player and I'm still not seeing the "whole picture".  After doing some reading my DLP TV isn't capable of 1:1 pixel mapping that would enable the whole frame to show up.  It's a rear projection and from what I read, they all have overscan issues.  Saving my pennies for a new 1080p TV that has the 1:1 pixel mapping feature.
