I think he confused you with another member who I’ve had the same issue with in the past (shitting on other people’s work in a non-constructive way - not going to name them here). Not sure why he thinks that’s you, since you express support and enthusiasm for other people’s work frequently.

Or he read some of your posts about the sequel trilogy/post-Disney Star Wars material and is conflating that negativity with your opinions of fan projects. Not sure.

Are you insinuating me?

Awful. Okay. That was just a web compressed version. There is obviously a higher quality version both uncompressed and one encoded for those who want to burn it to Bluray. But based on this post I don’t think I will be sharing it privately.

I didn’t mean to offend, just to say the 15GB version was badly compressed (not surprising given the size and the length of the film). I’ve seen worse though as well, and those were “completed projects”. I’m sorry if I came off as rude, I’ve had a bad week which started with my cat being attacked by a dog.

That’s all well and good. No offence taken. A lot of work went into the project with assistance from various sources. I think this one is best held back until possibly after the 4K UHD version is released.

Agreed. If the 4k is as good as we’re all expecting it to be and from the original negative, that would render this project useless.

Haven’t seen the Making of Temple of Doom, but have both the Great movie stunts,
and the Making of Raiders of the Lost Ark on 16mm scanned. Those will come out
at some point.

Not a fan of Temple of Doom, so probably won’t look very hard for that, then
again, not sure if it was on film.

All 3 of the first Indiana Jones movies have ‘Making of’, and all them
are currently on myspleen.

I know. I’m the one that put them there 😃

Temple has never been officially released. It was only broadcast on PBS back in 84. It’s never been broadcast since nor has it ever been released on home video.
Last Crusade, I’m SURE, was edited on video. So there would be no film for that either.

Any news on this project? I assume it’s dead as the last post was over a year ago.

Post the next time it’s available on Netflix. I’ll capture it and do it.

I was able to capture it on Netflix a while back…it looks just fine EXCEPT for a few scenes which lag, but pm me if you can repair it in anyway and I’ll send it to you

is it 23.976?

I have no idea. I’m not an expert like some people. I found an app that let me download the movie from Netflix, and it looks great except for 1-2 scenes, and at even then it’s only for a few seconds.

That app doesn’t download. It reencodes and has a max resolution of 720p. Not worth it for these purposes.

Oh. So my copy is essentially useless? Or is there a possible workaround

Unfortunately, yes. I’ll capture it the next time it’s on.

(You probably need to register before you can access this thread).

Most of them are .MP4 or .MKV, Full HD (some are UHD) h.264, and hosted on Mega.nz

That’s great. Thank you!
I’d love to get some people together to do other movies. Do you have suggestions on where to get them scanned? So many great and classic trailers… Not available on HD or even at all.

Yes, and that’s why I asked about the download links. I have shared all my trailers in HD without watermarks on my forum and a few other places, but I’m not sure that I’m allowed to post the links here. Some of my Youtube/Vimeo links are watermarked, but the idea is that you can preview them before you download them, so you know which trailer(s) you are downloading.

Oh. That I didn’t know. What forum/format Do you have them available in?

I was interested in getting some trailers archived and was wondering why there wasn’t more interest in them. Surely they are far easier to find and cheaper to get scanned. Anyone want start making a list of trailers to get preserved in HD? Would be nice since studios seem to be moving away from archiving them at all!
