Info Wanted: Trailer preservations (from 35mm scans)
Time

I was interested in getting some trailers archived and was wondering why there wasn’t more interest in them. Surely they are far easier to find and cheaper to get scanned. Anyone want start making a list of trailers to get preserved in HD? Would be nice since studios seem to be moving away from archiving them at all!

Just sent $50 through paypal. I can’t wait to see these!
If you ever come across the two Raiders docs, I know they’re out there! I’d love to see those scanned as well 😃

So this is the first deleted scene from the TV Version - presented from my personal copy, and from the DVD-R. I’ve tried working through the speedup issues on my copy and have something fairly presentable now. The DVD-R doesn’t have such issues. I’ve applied similar cleanup to both. Wanted to get some opinions on the footage - I’m a bit split.

Man, that transfer is gorgeous. What the hell is your master?

I can’t find anything confirming or denying it. The only way to find out would be for an expert to rip the audio and visual or something.

There is no way in Hell it will be the original version. Anyone who says otherwise is starting ridiculous rumors.

My friend has it on goodish authority that this is the unaltered version.

Your friend is 100% wrong.

How do you know? Are you from the future?

No. I’m from the present that’s sane, realistic and based in fact. This concert series is run by the same people regardless of venue. This isn’t changing.

How about instead of beings a debie downer lets just wait and see.

So… You were saying? 😃 😃

Info: Jaws - PCM mono track
Time

JawsTDS said:

If there’s any interest in a preservation, I have both the Signature and 1995 letterbox LDs and can capture the raw PCM mixes. I also have the rare 2 hour cut of THE SHARK IS STILL WORKING, which was recently released on the Blu-ray, but was cut down by Universal and rescored due to licensing issues. I think a definitive JAWS Blu-ray could be made with the resources on this site.

The original was 3+ hours.

Are you sure you have the original?

Sea of Love (Thrillers Edition) - VHS. Extended version of the film. Nothing noted on the box. Contains deleted scenes from tv version but uncensored.

I can’t find anything on a Thrillers Edition, Could it be the Collectors Edition?

Nope.

I own it and did a transfer of it. It was released in the late 90’s.

Do you still own it to maybe take a few screenshots of the slipcase for release information?

I think I still do. There’s nothing on the slipcover that says anything about it being extended. Hell, even the runtime is wrong.
