That is ashame. I had these images in my head of you guys getting to sit down to a pristine screening of the HS. Guess I didn't miss out on too much. Kind of cool though, I imagine because of this many HS virgins have now taken a step into a larger world... and learned what an awful world it is.

Yeah...i had high hopes as well.  What can you do?

Possible Star Wars Holiday Special screening in NYC!
Time

Sat through it with a friend today.  People came in and out but no one else stayed for the whole thing besides us.

It was definitely from VHS because I saw the white line running across the bottom of the screen, going from left to right horizonatally throughout.  It was in pretty bad shape and definitely not what you'd expect from the museum at all.  It was MUCH worse than what we have on bootleg, with smearing all over the place.

For those interested, it was recorded from a Los Angeles TV station.

If you want any more info, I'd be glad to answer.

I have these on VHS:

The Godfather - The Epic : 1901-1959 (3 tapes)

The Godfather Trilogy : 1901-1980 (4 tapes)

I bought them from eBay sometime ago, I've watched them and I highly recommend them. There's footage on them that hasn't been made available on any of the DVD releases.

That's not true. All of the deleted scenes have been made available.

Any idea what film print was sacrificed so that Star Wars might live? ;)

Hopefully Star Trek...

Hey! A lot of us are card carrying Trek fans in here. ;)

William Shatner is the man, but George Takei killed it for me, especially seeing him nowadays. :D

 Why?

Presumably, Takei strikes at LordVader's own insecurities.

Yup.  That's what I figured.  *sigh*

I wonder what a snowspeeder was doing at MGM? Wouldn't 20th Century FOX make sense? In case ADYWAN missed my question......what do you think about trying to fix that 60's-70's Star Trek view screen in Vader's chamber place?

As far as I remember, that (along with the AT-AT, skiff and Ewok Village) was not screen used.  Just props to display infront of the ride.  Though I think they did have the real holo table somewhere else in the park.

Incorrect.  There was a speeder on the backlot tour...along with some other props.  I have a different picture of it from the 1990's. I have to find it somewhere.

I haven't had chance to listen to the 5.1 track yet but i'll begin ripping it tomorrow and then begin the long editing process shortly after. This will probably be the next release.
