Sorry, I have neither the american pie, nor the basic instinct BD's.

But I will look out next time I am in a videothek, maybe I could rent them both.

I actually already got Basic Instinct from a friend but if you could look for American Pie, I'd greatly appreciate it! :)

Btw...both are DVD's (but American Pie is on Blu as well).

'Titanic - Blu-ray Bonus Disc' - any interest?
Time

This is a test. Anyone interested in a Titanic Blu-ray bonus disc?

What I did was put all the footage that was cut from the blu-ray disc together with a ton of stuff from the 3D release.

If there’s enough interest, I’ll upload it to Pirate Bay or something.

Here’s what’s on it (over 4 hours of footage):

DVD features:

  • “Fox Special: Breaking New Ground” -documentary (42 min)
  • 7 “EPK Press Kit” -featurettes (20 min in total)
  • “1912 News reel” -featurette ((2:13)with optional audio commentary by Ed Marsh)
  • “Titanic Ship’s Tour” video ((7:36)with optional audio commentary by Anders Falk)
  • "HBO First Look: The Heart of The Ocean (27:33)
  • ShoWest trailer (5 min) (featuring Enya music)
  • Unused ‘action’ trailer (2 min)
  • French trailer (2 min)
  • German holiday TV spot
  • Menu footage

HD Bonus features (720p & 1080p):
James Cameron introductions
EPK Featurettes, b-roll footage, trailers and TV spots
Belfast EPK and b-roll footage
Premiere footage and press interviews

Some of the HD bonus features were rendered by me from the original press kit footage and some of it is HD footage from the net.

It’s about 11 gigs.

Hi all.

First of all, fantastic idea for an upload, much kudos to the uploader on a great effort.

I am really interested in downloading this and am just checking if there is anywhere with it available.

Could someone tell me if the AMC logo is visible in the film, and if there are any ad breaks on AMC (I am from the UK)?

Yes, the logo is always there.

No ad breaks. Everything has been edited.

I banned tb1971 in 2009 after suspecting he was selling bootlegs. He complained to Jay, and the ban was lifted as there was no clear evidence that he was the seller at that time.

After following the development of this thread, I think the case is clear. This is not the type of member we want on this site.

Moth3r....thank you. Sorry for the link. I'm glad we can all get back to doing what we do best. You rock.

If I may...

I have bought from TB a couple of times already and all he asked of me is $5 for shipping (we live on different continents btw) and an amount OF MY CHOOSING for donation, which also covers for blank DVDs.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention I had the option not to buy from him if I felt $5 + an amount of my choosing was a ripoff. That's the beauty of living in a free country.

Alright, have a nice day everyone!

What happens in private should stay private.  Please do the OP and yourself a favor and don't talk about stuff like this anymore publicly.

Openly looking for money to recoup money, you've put in to create a project, after the project is finished....you're just asking for a reaction like the one that happened in this thread.

I've had people send me discs....I've sent discs, all free of charge.  If I paid for something...like some of the audio discs I recently acquired to help other projects start & finish....I asked for NO money and shared freely.

The karma helps everyone.

If anyone feels for any reason, that they HAVE to depend on a larger resource to complete a project, they should make it known WHILE the project is going or as it is starting....not after the fact.  I've seen plenty of generosity on this site when people ask for help.  Telling folks that money will be needed to receive a project they're interested in rarely fares well, ever.  Just the facts.

Agreed. I've sent people my projects and asked for no money, other than shipping. That's it.

And as for TB, I've created many projects here and never asked for money from anyone for them. I've done them all myself and released everything I've worked on. Of course, I have TONS and TONS of stuff on VHS. I have hundreds of hours of stuff that I've never organized or archived. Will I ever get around to it? Who knows. But, like so many people on this board, I have a life and very demanding job that requires a lot of my time. I apologize to anyone that I haven't gotten back to in a timely manner.

That said, I was told that each of his "discs" are $5 each PLUS $8 shipping. That's a blatant (and insane) ripoff. I just got one of them and it was almost entirely made up of youtube clips. They were the exact same time length as the clips on youtube (which I'm using to make my own BD discs) yet he claims he got them from "a collector in Scotland."

Bottom line is that we are all here spending a lot of our time and energy to archive this stuff FOR FREE for other collectors and fans. That's the very basis of this forum. And if you don't like it and prefer to turn around and sell your stuff online to make a profit, don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.

If any of you still want his Promethius discs, feel free to purchase them...for $17. HA.

Is this still available or has there been a higher quality preservation of the Criterion version in the last few years?

I have the film itself on BD so I;m not so much interested in that, but I do want the extras from the Criterion LD (in the best quality available.)

I would love a higher quality version of this but I thought the original version was very, very good. The menus were awesome. :)

??? Guys, this is stuff I've personally traded and purchased from international sources (no one from this forum offered a single clip to make this and a few other compilations I've initiated). I have a slow upload speed so I have to send physical DVDs in the mail which is a hassle for me. As a member of the forum you'll need to make a donation to cover the expenses. Non members will have to trade. As a major contributor to many preservations on this forum, I don't see what seems to be a problem. Many others were selling exact copies of my discs anyway. After all, this is how I meet interesting collectors with stuff that I later share with others on this group. So, don't judge but start contributing yourselves - rarities don't just pop out of mid air, you know.

So if other people do it, then it's ok?

As someone who has purchased some of this guys stuff, it's a crapshoot. Some is genuinely from VHS or other sources. Some is from Youtube.

Regardless, your tone sucks. You don't seem like someone who is trying to help out the community. If you were, you would just send the disc to one person to upload and get it out to everyone. Otherwise, you're overcharging everyone, including me.

And that's coming from someone who has GENUINELY shared things with people here without asking for a penny in return.

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

Harmy said:

Currently, the best version of SW is v2.0 - you can either get the AVCHD, which is basically a 7.9GB Blu-Ray you can burn to a DVD and it will play in a BD player or you can get a 15GB MKV, which won't fit on a DVD and can only be played on some players. They are both the same version only different bitrates.

Of ESB and ROTJ, there is only one version so far and that is v1.0.

Please forgive. Don't throw fruit. :(
Any idea when the BD version will be available? Timetable?

I don't think the blu-ray has the walkie talkies. Here is a screen snapshot.

Hopefully Eloitt says 'penis breath' ;)

We know it doesn't. It's the 1982 version.

I'm looking for the 2002 version.
