The Indiana Jones Project (Released)
Time
All,

Well...it looks like Babyhum and I are teaming up for our own set of releases. Babyhum will be making the menus and I will be supplying all the content. I'm also trying to get a hold of the Entertainment Tonight Special that was broadcast 5 years ago. it was an hour on the Indiana Jones trilogy with updates on all the actors. I or Babyhum will let everyone know how everything is coming along and we'll take it from there!

Thanks everyone for your support and I hope you enjoy the discs as they come out!

I don't mind doing it. I used to have the VHS version of this boxed set. This is basically all of the films re-edited (although 3 isn't touched) to be in chronological order. Basically all you'd need is the first two movies. They put back in a good amount of deleted scenes but all of which are included in the "extras" section of the DVD boxed set. FYI, there are more deleted scenes included in the TV version of 1 and 2 (which I believe was called the Saga, but differs from the vhs/dvd release of the same name).

Yes it is purely for the fans and that's why I want to do it right. I want there to be one release that's as close to perfect as possible. This isn't like a "movie" so i don't know why you keep calling it that. There won't be different edits of these. They are documentaries, pure and simple. Download them one at a time because you're not going to get more than one on a disc unless it's dual layered. If that's your plan, you're going to compromise quality and that's not something I'm willing to do.

So it's either do it your way and do it with lesser quality and have them on fewer discs in one torrent...or do it my way and have it the best quality possible and have each release on it's own disc...much like Babyhum's releases. He's doing that perfectly and I don't understand why we can't do the same.

Indy,

Not a chance. You either release the discs as I give them to you, just making the menus for each one or no deal.

My only problem is not having the know-how to create nice looking menus. I'd rather release them without at this point than contribute to this project. And I want them be separate releases as they deserve to be. That's what I'll be doing if you don't agree.

THE RAIDER DVD SPECIAL - was actually a re-edit more or less of the original 1981 television special. I believe there may have been one or two shots actually that differred from the original special, but it is almost negligible and porbably a waste of time to include it. Plus, most of us probably have it already.

The Raiders special could possibly be the TV special that was done on MTV in 1989 with Harrison Ford. It was used to promote Last Crusade but he mostly goes through all of his movies and gives a candid review of each of them. It's also the only place he's ever said anything remotely positive about Blade Runner. Other than that, I don't know what you mean about the Raider DVD special. As far as I know, there is no such thing.

Again, I'm still working on making menus and stuff...but I just remembered other things I have as well...including Today show specials, the Premiere Magazine behind the scenes, a Siskel & Ebert special on the making of all of them, a showtime special on Last Crusade...and hours of other Indy stuff.

Indy, it sounds like I have all the stuff you're getting plus tons more. If you would be interested in making the menus, I would send you the material which might be a better way of handling this whole thing. But you'd have to leave it as I give it to you. I"m a stickler for quality and I'm confident my stuff is the best quality you're going to come across.

When you get the docs (which are perhaps the most important thing on this to me) and if they don't fit on a single DVD, then don't feel pressured to compress them to fit.

I don't understand why they're not single discs themselves anyway. All the individual documentaries are 45-50 minutes themselves. That would be perfect for itself and maybe one other extra. That's what I've done on mine. To be honest, I'd be more than happy to upload both the documentaries for Raiders and Last Crusade right now...AND they don't have the Japanese subtitles as well. Just let me know. Thus far, I haven't heard of anything that's "new" or interesting that will be a part of this project and again, I'm very concerned about Indy3's skills and intent (no offense). I would hope someone would check this before they're torrented. And to be honest, I don't understand why we're putting "skits" from TV shows on this anyway. There have been a thousand shows making fun of star wars and Indiana Jones. All most people care about is actual footage from the movies and/or including actors.
