Okay so, since the original six film saga are all never before seen masters they have the 20th century’s fox fanfare with the new silver Lucasfilm logo

Also, the digital truncated Lucasfilm fanfare was never released in a physical form.

Interestingly, the digital versions are slowly being replaced with the brand new masters so the truncated digital fanfare is being wiped from history.

No different than abandoned 747s, super tankers, or mining trucks here on Earth. Wherever they are in the world and whoever may have used them, they look the same.

A lot different since Earth is just one planet and the galaxy has probably millions of planets with even more vehicles.

I mean, the way people jump from planet to planet all the time, it really feels like a planet is just a different continent.

Why don't people hate the Palpatine re-casting in ESB yet despise Force ghost Anakin's re-casting in RotJ?
Time

My dislike of one and apathy towards the other comes from the films internal consistency.

Imagine watching ESB for the first time. It does not matter which version you watch, all you know is that this is a brand new character and it’s consistent in that film. When you switch over to return of the Jedi and the actor changes (if you watch the theatrical version) then you just assume stuff happened behind the scenes and this is now the Emperor.

The problem with ROTJ is that Hayden at the end breaks the films internal consistency. I don’t know over any other film (besides that movie for Heath Leger after he died) that had multiple actors embody the same character. If you’re a first time viewer of ROTJ and it’s the first Star Wars movie you’ve seen ever then it’ll be really odd to see a brand new, never before seen, actor portraying… well you can’t even be sure if you have no prior knowledge to bass it off of. That is why the replacement of Sebastian Shaw is so much more reviled then the replacement of the Emperor.

Empire of Dreams is different. I don’t have a comprehensive list but the one example I know of for sure is that the Anthony Daniels is talking about George waddling during the filming of ROTJ and they walk up to Jabba’s palace they replaced the original shot with the 2011 shot with the expanded door.

JEDIT:
One other obvious change is when they talk about Williams recording the music for ANH they replaced the original shots with the SE shots. It seems whenever they show clips from the movie it’s all the 2011 master

Info: All Star Wars films released in 4K HDR on Disney Plus: 2019 SE with more changes
Time

If these were indeed the rescanned’s that Lucas commissioned to be used for his 3D versions than perhaps the Greedo line is a Lucas change that just never made it to the public until now.

Jedit: The colors on the Death Star do look amazing, I never thought we would see a new version of the film though, it’s astounding to me.

It’s new canon. Ahsoka novel and even the Darth Vader:Lords of the Sith comic. Specifically dealing with Sith lightsabers. In old EU red lightsabers were specifically non-organic and had no force sensitivity. In the new canon all crystals have organic properties and the Sith have to force their will on their crystal, making it “bleed.”

This is why Kylo’s blade is so interesting. My assumption is he went to “bleed” his original crystal but since he himself is conflicted inside the bleeding process did not take and the crystal cracked. Hence the need for the side vents. They were not intentional design decisions but a result of using his cracked crystal.

Since Pablo Hidalgo has confirmed that Captain Rex from the Clone Wars and Rebels was on Endor with General Solo’s strike team I wonder if he ever spoke to Luke about being commander of the clone army under Anakin.

I was watching ROTJ last night and the scene where Luke and Leia have their whole sibling talk and thought it would be so cool to see Luke walk off and Captain Rex stop him even for a brief moment to acknowledge that he was Anakin’s commander and that having once fought with the great General Skywalker he now is proud to fight alongside the Son of the great General.
