creepy puppet Yoda was an abortion

I don’t care if this is a technically accurate usage of the word as the dictionary definition goes…kindly fuck off.

Dude, you mock and harass everyone on this site all the time and you’re telling me to fuck off for using the word “abortion” appropriately? Now normally I don’t mind it, sometimes it’s even kind of funny, but this is more than a little hypocritical and ridiculous.

Isn’t he always? Frink is the prime example of a hypocrite.

I just dropped by to throw in some facts. Films cannot be objectively bad or good as there is no objective measure for that. And yes, opinion cannot be wrong or right. And the person who came up with the dumb example of moon landing dispute should better educate himself on a difference between an opinion and a claim.

For once, imperialscum makes a great point. Your moon landing argument is absolute bogus. Films are subjective. Frink, just get that in your head.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN OBJECTIVELY BAD FILM

Just the same as:

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN OBJECTIVELY BAD ICE CREAM FLAVOR

Frink, you can’t prove that something is good or bad when it comes to taste. What people think of a movie is their opinion and there is no right or wrong. You can’t prove the PT are bad movies because that would only be proving that you (or others) think they are bad movies. It is all opinion. I don’t think they are fantastic, but I don’t think they are bad or horrible either. All you can prove is that you have problems with them. Seems your biggest complaint with my ranking is that I dislike TFA more than any of the PT. I have some serious issues with it that I find to be a game changer when it comes to rating it. Deride my opinion all you like, yours is still just a different opinion - no more right than mine.

Exactly. Frink doesn’t comprehend that film is subjective. That’s what makes it so fun. Appreciating all opinions. You saying that it’s fine for him to “like a bad movie” proves that you think your opinion is the objective truth. You obviously don’t understand that there is no way to prove a movie is bad. It’s like food: if you don’t like seafood but someone else does, saying “it’s okay that you like that bad food” makes no sense. Film is subjective! Linking an article from someone saying a movie is bad is just another opinion.

I don’t like Superman: The Movie either.

Pushing aside all my issues with Clark’s characterization, I still hate everything pertaining to Luthor, Otis, and that dumbass ending.

It’s baffling that it’s a 4 stars on RogerEbert.com. Man of Steel is leaps and bounds ahead of the first superman.

If you don’t like the first Donner Superman, that’s fine. But saying Man of Steel is better? 'Em is fighting words!

Man of steel is deeper, better acted, better characterization (surprisingly enough) all IMO

Indeed. Hansi was no problem to me before but this is unacceptable. Thousands of innocent people died. It’s not a laughing matter. Period.

Hansi, listen to the calls made by those locked in those towers and rethink how comedic that is. You should be ashamed of yourself.

How he is not banned yet is astonishing.

Comedy = Tragedy + Time

And 15 years is enough Time.

no it is not. Go fuck yourself.

+1. Hansi then probably thinks the Civil War is hilarious. He’s a luck bastard that he said it in off topic. That’s how you degrade how others think of you real fast.

I’m sure there are some really amazing civil war jokes out there, I’m just too lazy to find them.

Honestly go fuck yourself you sick minded bastard

Point me to some clear evidence of this. I have never bullied anyone for liking TFA. I simply express my opinion of TFA.

I actually agree. He may be condescending when expressing his feelings about it but that doesn’t count as bullying.

It still establishes a hostile environment.

Can’t deny that but it matters not. Doing his taxes is more important than having people actually want to debate with him.

I can respect people for being subjective but there’s always a fine line between stating whats true and what they think is true. Thats why in just about everything I post I put IMO. It may seem cliche but at least it shows my attempt of separating opinion from fact. Another problem is people associate opinions with facts because some share the same views. If 9 out of 10 of us agreed red was the best color, thats still not exactly a proven fact. Its just a majority agreeing on one opinion.

Exactly, Frinks gotta understand this.

There’s no need for me to understand love for ROTS.

That’s simply being blind to any other opinions. Exactly my point. No matter how much I hate a movie it’s always fun and interesting to discuss why others might enjoy it. That’s the true purpose of many of the threads on this forum.

So bullying new members who happen to like the PT is inclusive and rude behavior on your part. It’s saddening that some of us create such a hostile environment.

EDIT: and imperial scum happens to be the Offical even more ignorant bully of TFA fans.

At least Haseo hears out people’s points and discusses them.

Superman: The Movie (1978)

2/5

Idk bout y’all but I feel this movie has aged terribly. It’s saddening considering the nostalgia I have for this film from my childhood. I just really thought Man of Steel was stronger. The character development might be lacking in Man of Steel but it still is powerful unlike the cringe fest that this film put me through.

Even if it’s there, there is no evidence that it actually shouldn’t be there. 😉

Well yeah, I certainly agree that it seems that the filmmakers intended it to be there, considering that The Desolation of Smaug shares pretty much the same blanket green tint as An Unexpected Journey.

Its just my personal preference that clouds look more white instead of green and since others seem to share my preference as well, I share the regraded releases I’ve done that fix this. Whether it officially should or shouldn’t be there honestly doesn’t concern me either way, only what looks more appealing to my eyes when watching the films, which is without the blanket green tints.

I’d like to say I do agree wholeheartedly with you Kk650 concerning the Middle Earth Colors.

Truthfully ROTS and TFA are tied for me but I decided to rank fairly

I don’t understand this on two levels.

Well ROTS I was very pleased with when I first saw it

You must have not seen it in a long time.

Film is entirely subjective so be careful to not assume he can’t defend his opinion. There’s no objective evaluation on whether ROTS or TFA is better. Out of the two Offical blu Rays, I prefer TFA. With my favorite Fanedited form of episode 3, I then would prefer it over TFA. My own opinion. And you have yours. Discussion is fun but it loses all joy once you decide your opinion is objectively correct.

So please don’t bully another user cause they choose to like a certain movie. Just have a respectful dissussion.

Yea been so long since an update. A few months ago he said that ESB:R had to be finished “by July”, but I don’t know if that meant June 30th or July 31st. I’m assuming that he won’t give another update unless things get really delayed and the next thing we hear is that it’s done. It’s gonna make my entire month when this thing is done.

Agreed.

Idea & Info: 'Batman V Superman - Dawn of the Edits'
Time

K Iv been thinking about an idea for the actual BvS fight:

-we cut the scene where superman wrecks the batmobile.
-when Superman arrives to fight batman we use the “tell me do u bleed” exchange as shown in the first teaser. We cut the “u don’t understand” exchange and just have them walk up and superman pushes him. This means supermans previous tension with batman still plays a factor. In the Orignal it’s as if the sole reason is his mother is in danger. But here, he has the choice to recruit batman or kill him, so when he chooses to kill him it’s not just for his mother but his previous tension helps add to the reason why he’s fighting him. This might make the fight feel more two sided and not like just batman wanting to truly fight.

Time

Just watched it a second time. It’s pretty god awful. Batman stands out as one of the only shining positives. It’s one of the most awkwardly edited and paced movies Iv ever seen. Lex was awful. Eisenberg should have been cast as the riddler. The screenplay is incredibly cringy many times. The comedy almost never worked. Perry White made me cringe so much. Overall very dissapointing, don’t know how to salvage a good film out of it.
