I still have hope. The fact that he is presenting this to Fox Executives and he has such a magnificent pitch boosts my confidence in this project immensely. This is something bigger than most projects that could lead to an OFFICAL release with OFFCIAL box art and disc art and bonus features and all the goodies from Lucasfilm with the theatrical versions. My mouth froths more for this possibility than my own personal copy.

The Kylo scene IMO should have been guaranteed a spot in the final cut. HD, no time code, new transitions, improves understanding of characters etc. I think it’s the one perfect deleted scene to be added into the film for any TFA fan edit.

Star Wars:
New CGI ships for battle of Yavin. The effects of 77 in some shots feel a bit too dated.

Empire:
Cloud City Windows. Beautiful enhancement to the look of the city.

Jedi:

Indeed. If it was 2 hours I probably would have liked it more but in my opinion, it did show the love that went into it. Considering I really enjoy the film despite some flaws it definetly added a new layer of appreciation.

The shots where the time code is removed looks AMAZING!!

The only thing I have pirated were some roms of some old videogames (which I have sitting on my shelf anyway), so I could play them on PC, and then english CamRip of TFA, which is Disney’s fault for not airing English version in my country.

Except maybe for the Camrip I wouldn’t say he is a selfish pirate. He says he owns all the games he’s pirated.

Just watched secrets of the force awakens documentary and I’d like to say I really enjoyed it 😃 It had of course a lot of great content about the making of the film but they also hinted about what was to come especially involving Luke. Thoughts on the documentary?

It would have been impossible to have some other type of music that fits with the intensity of her vision…And while you’re at it you should just keep in Rey’s theme as well 😃

Completely agree with your take on how the lasers sound. But the sounds of lightsabers clashing in TFA is different obviously and I’m one of the fans of it. Do you plan on trying to restore what the sabers sounded like in TFA or what they sounded like in previous films?

I appreciate the nostalgia that others have for Splinter of the Minds Eye but overall I incredibly dislike (since a child) how it fits into the overall Star Wars narrative. It just DOESNT FIT.

OMG! That’s astounding!! JJ said they will probably release more scenes that he talked about online for free like Leia contacting the republic about the threat the First order poses. If we get those all polished up they could be used for fanedits moving the Hosnian destruction to the third act. When everyone is at the resistance base you could insert the Leia scenes there.

I’d rather keep a scene that focuses on Kylo and Han as characters and not just Finn. Good point though, that ain’t a bad scene. I just prefer the Kylo one.

Agreed Kylo searching the falcon was a deleted scene that is well done and established the condition of Kylo/Hans relationship better. Every other deleted scene isn’t worth the time IMO. Salute to you for taking on the challenge! 😃

In the theatre I instantly was like “stars are too blue”. But overall I really enjoyed the colors of the force awakens, vibrant yet natural

(9) as he walks away, you can put a line calling Anakin Darth Vader (there is room to do that, because no one speaks in this shot and we don’t see Palpatine lips. Added lines can be: “a powerful sith you’ll become, Darth Vader” - edit : this particular idea would not fit in Q2’s edit, because the point is to keep secrets)

(10) Palpatine is putting his new clothes and explains their next move to Anakin.

That way, you get rid of every close up on Anakin’s face where he’s crying or seems sad/upset. If I find enough time and skill I’ll try to make that edit (I’m really not sure I can do someting well polished, just thinking about it, it might not work at all).

Do you have ideas for what to do with episode 3? Very interested in a mashup of edits for episode 3.
