I know the cockpit and costume designs were a bit different between movies, so I doubt this will become a reality. Nevertheless, I’d love to see new footage of X- and Y-wing pilots since Ady is already filming new cockpit shots for ROTJ:R. In the novel, there were two other wings sent to attack the Death Star. One of the old EU’s thoughts was that two other wings were sent to attack the superlaser, both as a backup plan and a distraction for the main plan of destroying the entire station. Doubt this could be pulled off, but I think it’d be interesting.

I am relieved to hear Adywan will not do the prequels in some ways. Yes, it would have been great to see what he could accomplish. But really, they are such different movies and I doubt they could ever be worthy to the OT. I’d rather see Ady focus on my favorite trilogy.

If we were ever to entrust his vision to someone else, it would have been nice to see Aalenfae take up the mantle. He had some real talent and had more appreciation for the prequels. Too bad he isn’t around anymore.

My favorite part of ESB:R was the use of the AT-STs. If I were to mention one thing I’d love to see (and I know I’ve mentioned it in multiple threads), it would be the inclusion of Victory-class Star Destroyers at the Battle of Endor. The illustration below was an early sketch of a potential design for the Imperator-class, and was later adopted by West End Games to create the Victory-class, as they likewise did with other early designs (such as the Z-95 Headhunter, taken from an early X-wing sketch)

I have always loved the design and believed wholeheartedly it would be included in the prequels. I was utterly disappointed when instead we got the stupid looking Venator-class. I’ve got other ideas I intend to share, but if all I could ask for was one thing, this would be it.

They might’ve fallen flat, but the jokes rely on the last three words in the first paragraph.

It’s not hard to figure which planet in a system is habitable. And throughout the Star Wars movies, there are numerous instances where they refer to a system with the assumption that the listener knows which planet is being referred to:

“You prefer another target? A military target? Then name the system!”

“It’s only a fragment from a probe droid in the Hoth system, but it’s the best lead we’ve had.”

And, of course, the Dagobah system reference. There are probably more.

Heck, everyone thinks irrationally at times. Like right now, do you honestly think he had any other motive for buying in eBay? Does anyone think he is trying to bring in a lawsuit or get this site shut down? Obviously, it seemed easier and safer (whether true or not) than a trackable torrent. Mike’s a decent guy and I hate to see him getting ripped over what was obviously a mistake.

true, but it is not same as “blackface”. With “blackface”, the intent was comedy via making fun of the the African American face. If I am not mistaken, while the Arabs were played by whites in makeup, the intend was to play them seriously and realistically, and not to make fun of the Arabs.

For what it’s worth, I think we should go easy on Mike. He’s expressed his anxiety over the usual means of obtaining these things, and his anxiety is obviously beyond that of the majority of us, based on his posts in the Emotional Support thread. Yes, he did wrong, but I think he deserves more slack than most of us.

The interesting thing about melatonin is that there comes a point where additional dosing has absolutely no effect. Three 5 mg pills are probably exactly as effective as one in your case. To me ROTJ has always felt a like a film of two somewhat disconnected halves, I think this would go a long way to remedying that.

I think this is a pretty brilliant idea! I don’t know how doable it would be without extensive filming, but if it could be accomplished, it would really please me in connecting those two halves and explaining Boba Fett’s presence as more than just a fan service. Question is…
