The closest I ever came was with Erasure. I had every album from the beginning up to Union Street, minus The Two Ring Circus, on CD. After that, I just stopped collecting albums of anything and periodically downloaded individual songs. I’ve had several other albums from other artists, but nothing approaching completion like that.

Thread repurposed: this thread is now about reviewing movies you’ve never seen!
Did you make plans to see a movie and then your plans fell through?
Did you have a movie playing and you fell asleep in the first five minutes?
Were you at the theatre with your little one who, during the previews, vomited over her and your clothes, so you had to leave to get changed and didn’t bother to return to the theatre?
Tell us about your experience and what movie you didn’t see.

“Reason for edit: None provided”
I don’t get this one
Obviously a failed joke, so…
There exists a running gag on this site that when an unknown person may be homosexual, or something could be jokingly inferred as such, then “You meen he’s a…” (with the misspelling) is an indication that the realization of that revelation is just dawning on the individual. I have no idea where this started, but I found it funny and adopted that.
Several years ago, I also got into an argument with CP3S about Orson Scott Card’s choice of using the term bugger for the aliens, especially considering the more recent controversy he started with his anti-homosexual statements.
Since you were referring to a bugger killer, I was trying to throw the two references into a single joke.

Can we add destroying the buggers to the list? There’s a certain somebody around here I’m getting really sick of.

There are days I want to create a thread listing members here who annoy me, but then my better sense gets a hold of me and I resist, only to be tempted again the next time those members post. It’s a vicious cycle!
I’d post something about how I agree and how I have this urge all the time, but I’m boycotting your stupid thread so I’m not gonna say anything.
Ha! You posted here anyway! Sucka!

I’ll just put it this way: I’m not fond of people who come to this site and, armed with “superior opinions,” dictate how others’ popular upcoming fan edits should go.

Things are so upside down crazy right now, I could see some idiot making the argument that adding another star to our flag would cost millions if PR became a state.
If Puerto Rico were to become a state, to not change the flag would be a…PR nightmare!

Not to anyone directly. He was just horribly obnoxious and ignored requests to tone it down, which could be construed as rude.

ABC was long ago. His behavior was largely before my time, and I only knew him when he returned as a sock called XyZ. He laid low for a while, but once his former identity was revealed, he resumed the same rudeness he had previously displayed toward Warbler (I remember him making his avatar with Warbler’s face in a Catholic priest’s robes in mockery–I believe this was why Warbler changed his avatar to no longer show his face). This didn’t last long before he was banned again. I mostly know of his behavior based on subsequent conversation.
Darth Id was rude for a very long time to many posters, including me. I remember getting worked up at one point, but learned to just mostly ignore his sophomoric humor. However, he fixated on Warbler and knew he could get a rise out of him. He was always just obnoxious enough to hurt Warbler, but he was cautious not to go so far as to get in trouble. He was pretty clever, but he needed to go. I believe the new rule changes were part of that.
Generalfrevious was not rude to Warbler. He was just annoying with all his doomsday exaggeration.

In answer to a question oojason asked elsewhere, indeed, Warbler has been treated pretty harshly by other posters here: Darth Id and ABC are two examples. Others, even if not cruel to him, have been allowed to get away with obnoxious behavior or more generally belligerent, if not specifically to Warbler. Moderation on this whole forum has been very light since I’ve been a member here, particularly in Off Topic. I’m not saying you are wrong or that a little more moderation isn’t a good thing. I just know that Warbler feels like it’s been a double standard after what little action has been taken in the past, and now a sudden and proportionally drastic increase which affected him.
I feel Warbler could use a break, but more for his own sake than for what “trouble” he may be causing for anyone else. I don’t mind the new level of moderation; I just want it to be applied evenly among all patrons of this website. Truthfully, some of the jerks we’ve had here should have been ejected long ago. In the fairly short time I’ve interacted with oojason, I’ve known him to be level-headed and good-hearted, so I have no doubt his fairness will be universal. I hope Warbler takes the opportunity to relax instead of becoming more upset. In a couple of weeks, no one will even remember this incident.
You’re a good guy, Warbler. We look forward to having you back!

Don’t get me started on that pretentious old fool! When I watch the movies, I pretend that they were scored by Phil Collins. When Anakin and Padme hold hands at the end of Clones (great movie!), I hear nothing but this running through my head.

My father is back in the hospital. As some may recall, nearly 14 months ago, he had a heart attack of such severity and with such serious consequences that he should have died. Amazingly (and in my opinion, thanks to God), he survived. Well, on Sunday he fainted and was taken to the ER. It was a mild thing and he thought little of it, but he listened to the pleadings of my mother and went, where they ended up holding him “overnight”. At first, it appeared that he was simply dehydrated, but his EKG showed premature ventricular contractions (PVCs). His cardiac rhythms have been abnormal since his heart attack (as they usually are), but this was a new development. His cardiologist decided to go ahead and order an echocardiogram, which resulted in an ejection fraction (EF) of 35%. His previous EF was 55%, which is the low end of normal. Further investigation has revealed coronary arterial calcification, which means more blockage of the blood vessels that feed the heart. So the plan is to ship him to Tucson once again (where he spent the bulk of his treatment and recovery last year) where his arteries are going to get a Roto-Rooter. This is very treatable, much more so than his episode last year, but nevertheless, it is concerning.

If I had know oojason was mod, I would never had told him to sit on tack.
One could make the argument that we should treat everyone as politely as we would treat a moderator. Now, I’ll grant that it’s hypocritical of me to say so, but someone more qualified to make that argument could surely make it.
Up ur!
