Didn't Vader step on a cockroach in his meditation chamber? That counts as a direct kill. That might only be a special edition change ;)
Oh, I certainly hope not. I'd like things to wrap up nice and tight with this film. I just want Bruce to live.
*Potential, though unlikely spoiler*
I've largely stopped looking into TDKR news and stopped watching the TV spots because I'm afraid too much will be revealed and it will detract from my actual movie experience. But a while back there was some speculation, based on some of the released footage and Nolan's statement that this film will wrap up the series, that Bruce Wayne will die, though "Batman" lives in someone else (somewhat like the Knightfall story arc, though with an actual death). I don't want to believe that, and I think it would be unwise, but I thought, "What if....?" And then I stopped reading this garbage that could spoil it for me.
But today I gave in, and found some heartwarming news. I read this article...
http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1687077/dark-knight-rises-fourth-film.jhtml
...indicating that while Nolan is done with the franchise, Bale is willing to participate in a fourth film if WB decided to take it that far (please don't). It's really not even worth the read, but simply that fact that Bale would be willing to don the cowl once again means he'd have to survive this film. So I personally don't think Bruce will die. That is all.
*End potential spoiler*
"Collarless Kermit of diminuitive size watches the time as Young Alanis refuses to apologize ..."
I guess it's official that I've become indoctrinated by OT.com memes when I look at the above picture, read the description in the user's sig stating that Kermit is "collarless," and assume he is referring to the fact that the picture is black and white before realizing that Kermit has no collar.
Carp! They're on to me!
Okay, a point for both of you, but I'm still ahead.
Topics need to be ever-shifting nonsense. My only suggestion is that you keep it clean. I'd love to see as many interceptions as possible and take it as far as you can. Others can keep up the same topic, but please stick to nonsense or someone, somewhere will put you on the list of Complete and Utter Party Poopers.
^So then...which is your favorite of the prequels?
;)
Hey, I just independently stumbled across this, then did a search to see if the thread already existed. Bummer! It does. How come we've not seen more of this? It looks pretty cool and should get more publicity.
Well, at least you're being fair...sicko! ;)
"Your weaponssssss...you will not need themsessss, you ssstupid, fat Jedi."
Yollum
"At an end, yesssss, your reign isssssss...hmm, yes, precious. And not short enough it wassss."

"Why trouble Frink?"
That's my question exactly. He (Frink) is just having fun (as in, all the time). No need to get nasty (addressed to Mr. Pedo sock).
Fixed for clarity.

That was flippin' awesome! I eagerly await your return so I can see more how this movie progresses. Well done!

I personally don't want any explanation. It's far more fun when there is no known answer. We can then just suppose that the guy is completely nuts and laugh at his bizarre ways.
I completely agree.
I often wonder if he knows about this thread, or if he is completely oblivious to it.
I think he's just noticed this thread.
Perfect! He remains as weird as ever this way!
This may be a worthwhile effort for the Batman fans/faneditors here:

So the contest is to see if you can make a Dark Knight Rises/Chrysler TV spot. Christopher Nolan picks the winner. If I had talent, I'd try it.
I think they could use a "ridiculous" treatment ;)
I gotta say that while Temple of Doom takes the Indiana series in a very different direction and feel, I still enjoy it as well. I don't enjoy Willie all that much, but I don't hate her either. And frankly, the climax on the bridge is one of my favorites--what a frightening way to have to face the bad guys, everyone struggling simply for a handhold!
So.....the Chinese invaded India yesterday. Pakistan in response came to their rescue, as they have always sworn to do, and launched 6 IRBMs, all of which were taken down by Khazakstan's missile shield, which they utilized as part of their 60 year standing alliance with China, after Khazakstand took over 3/4 of Siberian Russia. But this is all needless details, since you all know this. Secretary of State Donald Trump negotiated a peaceful end to the invasion and all Chinese troops returned home. Both sides are calling it a moral victory.

Now Michael Moore can plaigerize Bradbury titles with impunity instead of resorting to racial/sexist stereotypes. Yay!
That said, I mean no disrespect. I've only read Farenheit 451, but it was one of my first exposures to the Golden Age of Sci-Fi, and it was a good read. Vaya con Dios!
Periodically--and only when using Explorer--a particular thread does not allow me to post or even scroll past a particular comment. There seems to be no reason why this happens or why a particular comment gets to be last in line. A different browser works fine, and when the thread shifts to a new page, the problem goes away. Try using another browser or adjusting your settings so that a different number of comments are available per page. One of those will likely take care of your problem, dear Warbler.
Meanwhile, what sort of fun could we have with an alternate political page? Perhaps we can discuss ridiculous political discussions (cue someone saying, "All discussions in the political thread are ridiculous.") like tabloid articles or nonexistent political situations, like the Chinese invasion of India, or something like that. It could be really fun!
So morning-after pills likely do not prevent uterine implantation as formerly thought, but rather prevent fertilization. While to many this seems trivial, I find this news extremely pleasing.

So I saw Darkest Hour recently. Previews had caught my interest. Sure, it's another alien invasion movie, but this seems to have an interesting twist. In the end, I don't know if it deserves TV Movie or B-movie status, but it certainly merits no more than a 4/10 from me. Way lame. Poor special effects. Terrible written dialogue and worse delivery. Hayden Christensen could have spiced things up with his acting abilities if that gives you a clue. Stay away.
We have so many fun and silly threads here. Which one is the best? Which do you read for the most laughs? Which is most entertaining?
It's pretty close between the Classic LOL Moments in OT.com History, but in the end, I think I lean towards Is JediTemple34 Ignoring You? One of the greatest mysteries I've encountered since first coming to this site, and I never want it explained or revealed. It's just plain hilarious :D
Warbler, forgive me for straying yet again from topic, but this is exactly the kind of post I like to read from you, providing good reasoning, even though you don't even agree with most of your party on the topic. I want to see more more of these :)
