I was covertly in communication with him for a time, and he revealed each of his personae to me.  One that slipped under the radar here (only due to lack of usage, I'm sure) was Wesker:

I deleted my last post because I didn't want to irritate you, but that's where I noted it.  I'm surprised Ady saw it before I deleted it.

Does he not know how to erase his history?  Does he not know how to tell his parents that such a person is just some troll, not him?  I really would be sad to lose his comments.  I like him better than most of you, but that's because I find him so funny.  It'd be sad to lose all those priceless comments.  The Classic LOL thread will burst at the seams when Frink archives this whole story!

I promised FatherSkywalker that I would not discuss our conversations, but I think the best way to meet his wishes in this case is to provide a quote.

It's Me said:

Silver Wook said that there's too many posts for him to delete. But, please, I made a very long list both to him and to Jay of posts that I want deleted. I'm not asking them to do this overnight, just, whenever they get the chance to do so. And, you don't understand it! I posted some embarassing stuff that I want deleted and i'm getting really stressed out because of this!

I promise that I'll never post attention seeking trollish comments on these boards again! I also promise that I'll never make new accounts over here, on this site, but I just want those specific lost list of posts deleted! Please! Sooner or later my friends and family members might find out about the websites that I have accounts at, and I don't want them to read some of the embarssing stuff that I posted. And those accounts are banned, so I can't just get into them and delete/edit out certain posts.

I promise that in the future I won't make any new accounts, but I just want to resolve certain information here-which is the long list of embarassing posts. Neither Jay nor silver wook has deleted them just yet.

1-Hey, it might clear up a lot of annoying trollish/spamming comments if some of my embarassing posts that i listed were deleted. So, it'll be good for the other users on this site too!

2- Yes, I know that there are dozens of posts that I want deleted, and it might take a long time to do that (as silver wook said), but please, whenever they have the chance to do it, they should do it. Can you please explain this to them?

I promised not to make another account on this site again, but I'm just totally not comftorable at all with my stupid silly posts being here anymore!!

Some of my posts are just too embarassing!!

Please explain to the mods that I know that there's just too many posts, but I made a specific list for them, and it's worth it, because, in the long run, i'm not worried of any of my friends/family members reading embarssing posts, and hey, even you guys get to rid of this website of annoying stupid stuff that I posted. I'm not asking them to do it overnight, they have other stuff to do as mods/admins. I'm just asking them, that they please do it whenever they have the chance to.

But, please, just explain to the mods how much that other long list that I want deleted means to me!!!! I was very specific with my long list, too!!!!

I don't think he'd mind in this case.  Frankly his weird posts are too good to lose IMO, but I figure it'd be most fair to at least repost this.

I have to say that Sam was one of my favorite characters. Sam was underappreciated, but he really had a great deal to offer. He always seemed to ask all the right questions, and even if they seemed mundane initially, we'd know how important they were in the end. Sam was very passionate in his views and would press them in spite of anyone's contradictions. And when he really let forth his wrath, he had the ferocity of a troll! That's what I love about Sam.

http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/The-OTcom-J-R-R-Tolkien-Middle-Earth-Discussion-Thread/post/617730/#TopicPost617730

The joke is that I said that in the Middle Earth thread.  So he wears my quote like a badge of honor, and I do the same of him.

But wow, he sounds like a bigger jerk than I'd realized.  If he'd simply stop trying to aggravate people and simply have a human discussion, he'd find that he wouldn't have burned so many bridges.  Now no one wants to deal with him or even give him a second (12th?) chance.

Info: The Making of The Empire Strikes Back (Michel Parbot)

I hope my comments are seen in the positive light I intended.  I am grateful you've gone out on a limb thus far.  It does sound very cloak and dagger, and I can't help but wonder who this mysterious but relentless benefactor is.  One of the articles linked somewhere earlier in this thread where some French guys get a copy is equally cryptic.

Thanks again for sharing what you have.

^Ditto.  Why not release the whole thing? :)

EDIT: Having never read through this thread till now, I understand the reasons. I still cannot help but wish for the whole thing. Is there any chance this ever will get a full release, Mr. Neo? Would your source change his mind, given the fact that it was indeed broadcast?

Thanks for sharing what you have so far :)

Deleted, altered, and alternate material project (Released)
Time

Nevermind.  It just took a lot of patience, a lot of prompting Chrome not to close when it thought it was frozen, and about 2.5 hours to download everything.  But it's all good :)

I'd actually forgotten to mention that there are some brief clips on the Star Wars Extras BDs that might have even brief seconds of additional footage.  I mentioned two before, and if more pop up, I'm certainly interested in someone notifying me.  As I said before, I don't have a BD drive on my computer, so I can't rip anything.  But if anyone is willing to do so for me, I will be done collecting and will then have to begin the extremely daunting task of organizing stuff.  But we are making great headway.  Thanks again to all have lent support so far.  I think this will be really cool when done :)

*Grumble grumble* (Some folks would pay good money for such a prize...) *grumble grumble*.

;)

So one final problem faces me and spits in my eye: Retro Star Wars.  Retro Star Wars is on Facebook, and has an impressive array of photos I've not seen anywhere else.  It also has a whole bunch of jokes and silliness.  The result: close to 16,000 pictures listed on the timeline photos.  When I try to download them in their individual folders, it gets difficult as I have to investigate every folder that seems like it might have something useful, but each folder usually holds between 3 and 6 pictures, with a few exceptions with large folders.  I've downloaded many of the smaller ones picture by picture, while the larger ones or those that are larger with many useful pictures I use a bulk downloader.  After a lot of effort, I worked my way through about a third of the folders.  But the more I scroll down, the slower my computer gets.  If I try to use the bulk downloader to get all 16,000 pictures, the downloader locks up.  I'm willing to download all 16,000 and then pick out the few hundred that I'd actually use, but I can't even do that.

The downloader I'm using is FB album mod, the best I've been able to find.  But still, it can't grab 'em all.

If any genius has any ideas, I'd be most grateful.  And I'd even offer a kiss, though I don't know how my wife would feel about that.

Just a small thought, probably not going to be addressed anywhere.  When I was young, I thought two probe droids landed on Hoth, considering we see one hit the surface and get out, then see it again from Luke's perspective a minute later.  I think it could have easily been reordered slightly, still carried the same emotional impact, show almost all of the existing shots, and only shown a single landing:

Star destroyer launches probes.  One goes towards Hoth.  We pan over the plains of Hoth, see tauntaun, see Luke, who looks around.  We see the probe enter the atmosphere and begin falling, but not strike the ground.  Luke looks off, sees it hit the ground, looks through his binoculars, etc.  After being mauled by the wampa and being dragged off, we see the probe droid emerge from the wreckage and head off, then Han arrives at Echo Base.

This more closely matches the description in the book, which is a bonus.

Hey, I just said I'm not going to post here, but I think I'll need something to back up the radiation pressure claim.  Everything I've read suggests it would destroy life, but not obliterate the planet itself.  It takes an unbelievable amount of energy to destroy a planet--energy that is quickly diffusing in three dimensions over the lightyears.  But I'm happy to be proven wrong.  Either way, like you said, they would have 100 years to figure something out.

So I'm having fun being back.  But before it gets to be too much fun, I think I will again set some limits, but not as drastic as before.  For one month I will only respond to PMs and a few threads: Interrogate the Mormon; Deleted, Alternate, and Alternate project; Star Wars OT Audio Book project.  I also have a small suggestion for ESB that I will put up shortly, but that will be a one time thing.  Other than this, I intend to go into hiding for a bit.  Thanks again for everyone who has been supportive, even if you made no comment on the matter.  I appreciate your thoughts :)

So I did some reading in my free time to better understand the nature of black holes.  I've concluded that if Bingo's hypothesis is right and the red matter compresses existing matter, then indeed it would not increase the gravity in the area and would not affect Delta Vega.  It's a theory that could rectify my dissatisfaction with that aspect in my mind.  However, I still have some problems:

What force is it that sucks up the planet or the supernova?  I always assumed this was the gravity of the black hole, but if it is compressing existing matter, what is it that pulls it in?

Once it has compressed the matter, how would its gravity reach out and grasp anything outside the reach of the red matter's reach?  For instance, if a black hole were created to suck up the supernova, it could not conceivably hope to use the contents of the explosion to create the black hole; it's obviously hoping that the gravity of the black hole will consume the supernova, but if it's not contributing any additional matter, its pull should not be any stronger and thus should be unable to stop the supernova.

The line in the film suggests (though not definitively, so the other interpretation is viable) that the black hole was created and then was consuming Vulcan, not that it used Vulcan to create a black hole.

A different point: even a supernova much less than 100 lightyears would not be enough to blow up Romulus, though it could certainly destroy most are all life by its radiation.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Near-Earth_supernova

Regardless of any of my misunderstandings in relativistic physics, clearly a number of my points stand as scientifically untenable.

005, I agree, I don't think everything travels through time.  I don't think that having it be supernova-powered would make a difference in the real universe, but whatever the explanation in Trek, I believe it was more the exception than the rule.

And I'm glad to hear that about the comics, because even the battle between the Kelvin and the Narada seems to involve very different weaponry than demonstrated in TOS.  Heck, the Kelvin's design even looks very different from any other Starfleet vessel of the time, and it seems that the alternate Enterprise is a continuation of this design.  So I can believe that it was already an alternate universe, and quite honestly I'd prefer in some ways to think of it that way.

Idea: Star Wars OT Unabridged Audio Books Project
Time

I don't know.  My priority is currently to the deleted scenes project.  And when I do get to around to this, it seems perhaps like too much work to get various voice actors to fill different roles.  It seems having one person read the whole book would be the most practical thing.  So I guess if you wanted to put in the hours of recording and rerecording lines with different voices for the entire book, you're welcome to do so.  But I certainly wouldn't ask anyone to do that besides myself. :)

Of course, now that you mention it, I am reminded of the suggestion someone (xhonzi) put forward of recording the entire Secret History of Star Wars where various people recorded different chapters.  Perhaps such a strategy would be more effective at recording the audio book.  The chapters are not really all that large, and the book itself is small and easy to read.  Maybe that would work.

Whatever happens, I appreciate your offer :)
