Alright, I think we all get a little crazy from time to time.  I am starting this thread because I have seen people talk about how depressed they are.  DrCrowTStarWars is the most recent example that comes to mind.  I don't mean to call him out, but he has posted his feelings rather prominently, so I don't think he'd mind.  This thread is meant only for either sharing your deepest troubles (in other words, not the petty stuff like the b*tching thread), and for those who wish to offer support.  No teasing, no mocking, no bickering, no side conversations about someone.

My reason for starting this thread in this particular instance stems in part over guilt for teasing DrCrow.  He is clearly a bright guy with some amazing insight into characters and stories.  He also has some extreme, irritating, and dangerous political views that have caused me to criticize him rather cruelly at times.  And then he also has some drastic self-critical views that make me fear for him.  So in my attempt to offer support, I wish to share this:

DrCrow: you are a worthwhile person, and there is no doubt in my mind that your family is grateful you are a part of them.  You hold some noble ideals and clearly want a better world to live in.  You have some amazing insight and clearly are an intelligent person.  All this is coming from someone over the Internet who has never met you.  But my opinion should not matter so much.  I am certain your family, flesh and blood people who know you personally, love you very much and want you to be happy.  I am sure that if you take the time to think about it, there are many who love you: friends, classmates, clergy.  Don't worry about what a bunch of people who for all you know could be Bingowings socks think about you.  Yes, I am a real person, but to you, I am nothing more than a bunch of words.  I will never meet you in real life.  My critical statements should not matter to you, nor anyone else's.  If I can do anything to offer you further cyber support, let me know :)

Maybe I missed something.  I made my move in a super hurry.  In any case, I hardly have had time to look at my board with work lately.  I am finally looking at the first decent break day after next, but in any case, this game is really depressing as is, and I think I will resign.  I don't mind starting again if you want, but for now I don't want to go on. :(

Obviously I've been very busy.  Sorry guys.  I'm at work now, will work again tonight and tomorrow night.  And with me trying to squeeze the festivities in between, I haven't had much time to ponder my move, especially since I'm trying to figure out a way out from my dire straights.  Hang in there.

 Obviously anybody is going to reply to somebody who openly posts about them and tells them they don't like them, it's common courtesy.  I can think of at least 3 other people on this forum more obnoxious than me, go tell all of them you don't like them either, one by one. Too bad there isn't some forum feature where you wouldn't have to see all the obnoxious things I write, like how the more i read from you the less I like you.  Oh wait that was you. Damn, can't think of anything.

 Well, I appreciate your common courtesy.  Believe me, I've called out a lot of people for saying stuff I don't like.  Don't feel too special.

 How did I miss this post?  This must have been when you did all those silly bumps.  Assuming you still like me, I think it would be fun to play.  I've seen a few versions, but I've never played a real game.  The official rules to Star Trek's Tri-dimensional chess are not very playable, but there is a cool variant I've read about called the Kobayashi Maru variant.  To me it more accurately reflects what is shown on screen, and seems pretty playable (and complicated).

I wonder if he's getting bored.  But I was actually thinking the same thing, that we should resume that other thread.  Do you want to suggest a game?  We were doing Chess with Different Armies, and if you wanted, we could try that again.

Good times.  I hope we have many more.  I will likely never meet you in life, and I've played more games with you than all my other opponents put together.  It's been a very enjoyable year with you as a playing partner :)

 People tease a lot here, but few are actually malicious.  It's usually meant in good fun, and you should take it as such.  Look, your name wasn't written in the topic, and the guy whose name was took the joke quite well.  It's just kind of the culture here to poke fun a bit.  We're actually pretty nice.

Well, I find a difference between anger or depression issues, which perhaps seem to apply, and a completely inappropriate political outlook that at times seems to involve banning whatever offends him at the moment, including entire religions.  However, you may be right, and I should try to be nicer, especially when I don't understand a person's situation.
