Drew Karpyshan is the EU version of George Lucas.

It'd be nice to think that people don't take lightsaber colours into consideration because lightsaber colours don't really mean anything or indicate the wielder's affiliation, but I know that's not likely to be the case.
Agreed, so much. I always liked that in the McQuarrie paintings Vader's saber was blue and Deak Starkiller's was yellow.
Also agreed so much. Are you the same ATMachine that replied to my lightsbaber color thread on TFN?
I hate the totalitarian control that EU fans try to place on talking about what you think of the EU. How does it affect them if I hate something that they like?

I don't know if I'd blame the public so much as the writers/designers of the game itself.
The SWTOR Sith Empire using the symbols and titles of the Galactic Empire can only be blamed on the writers/designers of the game. Nobody is stupid enough to think that all dictatorships use the same symbols and titles.
The EU says that the Star Destroyer in the opening scene of ANH was Vader's flagship at the time. I never got that impression from the movies.
Doesn't anybody in the galaxy notice that both the Empire and the Separatists have warriors running around with red lightsabers? Why doesn't anybody suspect a connection?
I don't want to see a Revan movie. Canonizing anything about playable video game characters never ends well.
There lots of fan theories involving what the clone wars were, the most common being that Palpatine gets the Mandalorians to clone themselves and invade the Republic. Another theory was that Palpatine has a bunch of clones of Darth Maul invade the Republic.
The Jedi use wired lightsabers in the Naga Sadow-era TOTJ comics. Wired lightsabers look stupid. It would have been much cooler if the Jedi used metal swords like the Sith.

Well, I read the story. Not going to give away any spoilers, just my opinion.
It's okay. Just okay. Not good, not bad, simply okay. Kinda dry, kinda boring, but okay nevertheless.
How do you feel the events of the story having happened in the same universe as the movies?
The novelizations are far better than most of the EU.

I'd rather not see a Sith at all.
I agree.
If I see a Sith with a lightsaber that's not red, I will cheer in victory.
I love that KOTOR acknowledges that Kun and Ulic were far worse than Revan and Malak.
The two characters that i hate most are Vitiate and Darth Krayt. Vitiate for reasons that we've discussed and Krayt for making the galaxy predestined to suffer.
It would have been much cooler if C-3PO and R2-D2 first meet Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan on the Trade Federation ship before landing on Naboo. It would fit the original concept for 3PO and R2, it would make 3PO and R2 part of the entire saga, Anakin wouldn't build 3PO, and 3PO could replace Jar Jar.
edit: ninja'd
Anyway, whether it's Disney or Lucasfilm deciding, I'm certain that the history of the Sith will be dictated by the spin-offs, not by the NeEU.
Tobar said: She's taken George's position in the company. Do you believe he personally oversaw the development of the EU?
In addition to personally not caring, George didn't have spin-offs to worry about conflicts with and had an "I can overwrite you" clause. Kennedy has yearly spin-offs, no clause, wants the NeEU to sell, and cares personally.
If Spielberg wants to make Revan: The Movie, is he going to want Chee and Hidalgo getting in his way?

Talk to Pixar and they'll tell you Disney keeps their hands out of their creative decisions.
If that's true, why has Pixar become so sequel-happy?
Tobar said:
Talk to Marvel and you'll hear the same.
because Marvel was already doing well

Lucasfilm Story Group headed by Leland Chee and Pablo Hidalgo.
What happened to Kathleen Kennedy?

*points out once again Disney doesn't care, it's all in the hands of the new guard at Lucasfilm*
We don't know that Disney doesn't care, and I'm sure Lucasfilm also feels the way that I said I think Disney feels.
I'm surprised that Motti's windpipe doesn't have its own Wookieepedia article.
How does everyone feel about the new Zelda trailer? Personally, I am so sick of cel shading.

Maybe the NuEU will actually give a competent portrayal of the post-1999 Sith. Probably not, but maybe.
I would think that Disney would rather the history of the Sith be defined by the spin-off movies than by the NuEU.

Q: How will Disney's takeover of the rights to Star Wars affect SWTOR's lore?
A: SWTOR is not canon. It is part of the extended universe. It will not be affected in anyway. The only thing that can affect SWTOR is Lucas Arts. As in Sith will not be running around on unicorn mounts.\
Thank god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
