I'm actually really good at programming menus. I could do whatever you want. I was actually planning on making my own menus for these once I was able to find them.
Can you do Blu-ray menu's to?
ChainsawAsh said:
That might be the best thing to do - select audio track, then the menu selection defaults to "resume film" after the audio track is selected. The user can either press "enter" to resume the film, or press "main menu" to go back to the main menu. I've seen a large number of retail discs like this.
So instead of having "BACK" to the main menu from the audio menu, maybe I should have just put "RESUME FILM" or even "PLAY"?

Why are you always so touchy? All he did was make a request... Aluminum Falcon has seemed nothing but polite to me.
Why are you, I am kidding around with the guy, are you his protector or something, find out what is going on before you jump the gun, I never said he wasn't a nice guy.

I came across my original capping of the 97 SE Laserdiscs, and LOL they were already IVTC'd...
Are you gonna release these? The more preservations, the merrier, especially since you already IVTC'd them...:)
Damn dude, you wanna just come over and copy everything I have?
Out of curiosity, does anyone know how to make DVDLab Pro go back to the main menu after making a selection? right now you have a main menu that links to an audio options menu, then when you select your audio option you have to hit back to go to the main menu and play movie, like CA said, it would be nice once you select audio it just goes back to main.
Funny thing, while I was going through my external hard drives for some files I need for my new project I came across my original capping of the 97 SE Laserdiscs, and LOL they were already IVTC'd, I forgot I had that much doen already before jumping on the DV broadcasts.

EDIT: Also, is the 1997 V2 exclusive to donators like the JSC V2 or will it eventually be released on Newsgroups, torrents, etc?
Not sure yet, we will see.
That's OK CA, I put a score only track on all 3, you can only get to it with the remote, yes it was hidden LOL.
The cells were ripped with PGCDemux from the GOUT DVD's themselves, I wonder if this is obviously not that accurate? also I SUCK at menu's, I actually hate them because of this fact, I really wish I could do them better, but for now I can't, feel free to rip everything and make your own if you like, but I sure would like it to go back to the main menu also, I wonder if that is something that can be done with DVDRemake Pro? also check out the ESB rare recordings, I could not figure out a way to do this so I hope the way I ended up doing them works.
Back to menu's though, I wish there were some real good tutorials out there on how to make some nice ones.
Download GrabIt, puit your Astraweb account info in it, make a nzb file from binsearch, load it into GrabIt and walk away, very simple, just like loading a torrent.
You are not the only one msycamore, I have no idea what that means either.
I believe it is only Jedi, that is why g-force used the PAL Jedi, the NTSC versions were better on the other 2.
So just to be clear, is the GOUT Trilogy the Definitive Collection or the Faces Collection?

You could probably try decoding the audio with BeLight (BeSweet) just like you would do slowing PAL audio to NTSC speeds. Then just re-encode to Dolby with your method of choice.
"C:\..\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "c:\work folder\Audio - AC3 - 2ch - 48kHz - DRC - DELAY 0ms.AC3" -output "c:\work folder\Audio - AC3 - 2ch - 48kHz - DRC - DELAY 0ms.wav" -2ch -azid( -c none ) -ota( -r 24000 23976 )
There'll be a tiny shift in pitch, but I doubt any one would could hear it.
Thanks DrM, I will give it a shot.

I was commenting on you saying that the PAL set did not suffer from the green tint on the left side, YES it does
Sorry, I didn't mean that at all, I meant the overall green tint as shown in the screencaps I posted. It was a misunderstanding and I apologise :-) The colours are definitely improved overall, it was just the crawl that I noticed.
All is good Harmy, communicating is fun.
The Bonus clip last week was the JSC V2 Star Wars, not the GOUT V3 SW.
I am sure that is because of the general color settings on this set, maybe the crawl suffered a bit, but the rest of the film looks much better, remember, I was NOT doing a scene by scene color correction, F that! I was commenting on you saying that the PAL set did not suffer from the green tint on the left side, YES it does, but all is good, I am happy with it and that is all that matters.
I do have a MeGUI question though if anyone knows, I tried a sample encode last night, the video fed into it is 23.976, but once it finished, MeGUI changed it to 23.8095, why in the hell did it do that? and how can you avoid this from happening again?
Everything has to be free.

the green tint isn't there in the PAL GOUT
I hate to say this, and I am not sure if you are hinting at your PAL is superior comment again like I have seen in other threads, but I am going to be blunt, you are full of shit, I have the Star Wars Trilogy retail PAL and NTSC sets and I just looked at the same pics as posted above, and throughout the film and it is to there(the green tint) you need to look again, and I am pretty certain your PAL set is no different than mine, I bought it from Amazon.co.uk
and the flickering is on the GOUT as well, PAL and NTSC so I do not want to read someone saying any different on that to, it seems to be where black hits white, because if you look at the black panels in the hallway just before the door explodes it is there in the right hand side as well, not sure if anything can be done with that or it would have.
The bitrate on the sample I am sure is pretty low, like I have said, I am still learning this, why not give suggestions, also can't you see what the bitrate is by loading that mkv into txmuxer? won't that tell you what it is?
Sorry to sound harsh, but this PAL & NTSC crap really gets me going, especially when you can clearly see the exact same thing on both.
I didn't hear any problem with the audio or see any green tint through the whole thing, but I am watching on my PC, I can't play these files anywhere but my PC, that is why I am not a fan of them.
Did anyone else hear audio problems a or see this green tint?
I can change the video easy enough, but what of the audio?
ChainsawAsh said:
Wow. That looks absolutely stunning, DJ.
I'm so looking forward to sitting down and watching this!
So is this how the MKV file should be?
I actually don't mind the SE's at all, I like all versions LOL, I just love the movies period, OH, and I am not a newbie LOL, I grew up watching the originals in the Theater, several times as a matter of fact.
This is really GREAT stuff 005, great job compiling all this info, this is the first time I looked at all this, this can really help in my next project, Thanks for doing this.
