Last night the Family and I watched my Panasonic exclusive Blu-ray 3D of Avatar, and Holy Shit was it COOL! by far the best 3DBD to date, but followed very closely by Drive Angry 3D and The Legend of The Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole 3D, still need to watch the Shreks in 3D and Tangled, also have some IMAX titles in 3D.

IMO a well made mono mix can wipe the floor with a 7.1 surround mix even though it's not as technically powerful, and even if it doesn't for some people, it is equally important of preservation as the image itself.

LOL, with my new audio set up I will take 7.1 over mono any day of the week, and as far as wiping the floor, NO WAY DUDE! these new HD audio's are just SO powerful you can feel it, I just got all new POLK speakers and a Yamaha 7.2 Receiver so this new HD audio is friggin SWEET!

So 7.1 for me over mono any frackin day.

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

Sorry Rob, but that is not nitpicking, that looks bad, and I would mention that to, and I surely do not like that(I have not watched the movie yet myself, but Harmy already verified that it is there) because it surely is not on any of the worked from source files, that probably is an encode error or something, but really should be fixed, but that is 100% Harmy's call, not ours.

I see your point none but if we start demanding the "original" version of the end credits, while the other one was also made in 77 and is pretty much the same and definitely doesn't effectively change the film in any way, we would be totally playing into the cards of those who claim we are lunatics.

Damn Harmy, that is well said, I agree with you 110% now we are looking at credits LOL, wow.

Hello, I'm a new poster, but long time Star Wars fan. I've been watching the poor quality theatrical DVDs for years and would LOVE to see these in HD. Would anyone be kind enough to send me the complete files for the latest Harmy's Star Wars Despecialized HD version and also for the latest Harmy's The Empire Strikes Back Despecialized HD version? With my internet set up, it will literally take 4+ days per file to download. This makes it practically impossible, since there are 4 files per film, I believe.

I will pay for the DVDs, shipping, your time, and any other expenses. And can PayPal immediately. I reside in IL. Thank you for all of the help!

Where at in IL? I am in IL. as well.

Who cares LOL, he should have been banned with OCP and TH47 or whatever his screen name was here for selling work as well, because he got away with it for a very long time here and never got banned for it, I guess because he used the term "donation" which was a crock of shit, it was pretty high donation amounts for DVD's shipped, I am still kicking myself in the ass to this day for giving that shit a lot of money and friggin OCP! live and learn I guess.

*edit - I just want to apologize for sounding so harsh, but damn did I spend a lot of money between the 2 of them F**k HEADS.

Could you post a comparison between the Despecialized Ed. and Project Blu?

LMAO! Yea, that is a real fair comparison, while Harmy's is sourced from the SE HD broadcasts, mine is sourced from the GOUT DVD, so what exactly is this comparison going to tell you anyways? I am curious to know.

Couldn't have answered it any better :)

Yea, I just hope Harmy reads my comment, I do not mind showing what they look like, but I really hope I can share\upload with the set, and with the set only, I know ABC had no issues with this, he left it all up to me, but he did like seeing them posted in the thread with Imandix, which was cool.

But on a side note, I did get an email from my partner, and it said, I should have the BD menu for Jedi this week! Damn, I can't wait!

Will you be releasing Harmy's cover set along the same time when you send out the BLUs, d_j? Or do we just turn to Harmy himself for those? :)

I will be sending you an email with ALL covers once the set is done, you guys will probably get the email with all the covers shortly before your BD's arrive, or same time.

Then the others will get them when the discs are uploaded, I know Harmy wants to show them off now, but I asked him to wait until the set is finished, because the one set has the menu screen, and I want that for a surprise to you all, and I really hope he lets me do all the sharing of the covers, I like to keep the covers with the sets, I have never shared any covers made for my sets by themselves, my covers stay with the sets they are made for, and I really hope I can keep it that way, so the Set will have ABC's V3 artwork redone for the Blu-ray project, complete with disc labels, and then Harmy's 6 cover set 1 with bar-code, and 1 with menu screen.

So there you have it, I hoped I answered your question.

BLU still looks a lot better than v3.

I have to agree 100%, I just like how this looks playing way better than playing the V3 and letting my player upconvert it, this just seems to look better and play smoother, just all around better, and not to sound like a broken record, but all the friggin audio options in DTS-HD MA and DD ac3 and LPCM, is just to cool to have on 1 disc, and not to mention once again, the SWEET BD menu's! now if I could just get that anxiously anticipated email from my partner I could finally put this set to bed.

OH, and as Harmy already mentioned, he did up a sweet cover set for this project, and it is exactly what I wanted, it has the OT feel, and a retail look, one actually has a bar-code on it, and the alternate has a menu screen on it, very, very, nicely done, hats off to you Harmy!

Yeah, that is good news! I'm really curious to see Empire HD, because I've seen a lot from the other two because DJ was kind enough to send me some samples to use for my projects and they're totally awesome. Miles away from GOUT and even from V3. Though granted, I only saw some samples of that too, because when I first saw the V3 sample, I must admit I was a little disappointed, it was better than GOUT but it wasn't as much better as I'd hoped and I can't download from torrents, so I never downloaded the V3 DVDs. But when I saw the first sample of project blu, I thought: yes, this is it, this is what I've been waiting for! And then when I saw some other scenes that DJ sent me to use in my Despecialized Edition HD, there seriously were times when I was thinking: Why do I even bother, this already looks like HD. I also had a chance to get a glimpse at some of the menus and they look great too, so I'm looking forward to this being finished.

I made some covers for the HD release but I'm waiting for all three films to be finished so I'll be able to put all the necessary info on the backs.

Thanks Harmy, maybe I will send you a sneak peak ESB sample.
