Not quite true. That's what he did for the V1 - V3 DVDs, as far as I know he heavily modified the script for Project Blu and having seen both V3 and Blu, I can say that Blu looks 10 times better.

I guess the only way we would really know is if DJ posted the script.

DJ?

LMAO! video has been done for quite some time on the avisynth side, most lately has been all After Effects and photoshop, and you shared nothing on this right g-force? there are at least 2 members here that can attest to that, because I have been picking their brains on these programs, but I really like your approach now, you really turned this thread into nothing, and you are showing what kind of person you really are, I now remember when you were crying before that you got no credit on the DVD's, and then I proved your ass wrong didn't I g-force? NFO's, in threads, at Myspleen, yea, you remember, so why don't you get off my ass, and worry about this new development you are going to do in this thread, all these projects are not about you, and your ego, right g-force?I mean do you honestly believe that every single GOUT project you did? are you that damn arrogant?

So now I am done with you, you have proven to be quite a tool to say the least, but I can't wait to see your latest mind blowing developments, and your top secret top layer of your onion LMAO!

g-force? to funny.

1 more thing, you must think Harmy is a liar then huh? he has the V3, and he has gotten a ton of clips from me from my project, he sees a difference, so do others, that must really piss you off huh? and why is this, because you have nothing to do with it perhaps g-force?

Wait, so there are v2's coming out of the Star Wars GOUT Blu project? :)

LOL, I just saw this post, but yes there is, more work has been done on the video, and I have a better source for some of the audio tracks used(digital rips instead of analogue captures) so it is video and audio upgrades on the new Set.

No time frame yet though on when this Set will be finished, but once this Set is done, I will not read any more breakthroughs on anything here LOL, I want to go back to doing Custom BD's, this is a lot more fun, and it is not Star Wars.

I worked very closely with msycamore on these, and we have them done already, these were all resized and positioned for the 720P framing, and they were all done with avisynth scripting, so these are as close the Theatrical as they can be, they look nice, msycamore did 1 hell of a job on these.

Plus I am done with SW and ROTJ, just need fix a few more shit frames on ESB, and redoing some of the audio files for all 3.

Yes you are right Harmy.

Holy Shit, what an ego man, this Blu project is not much of your script at all, barely anything now, so please get over yourself for a moment, most all of us that have done upscales have not used it, and yes it was damn near 100% your script in the DVD's, V1 through V3, and YOU did get credited for it, damn dude, if you have something against what I am doing, or me for that matter, why not just take it to PM, I welcome you.

Not even sure why I was even brought up in this thread to begin with, you could have easily started this on your own without the childish little bashing in your original post, which was very nice of you by the way, did not expect you to be acting like that.

For the Terminator, I would rip the BD to your hard drive, then use Tsmuxer to demux the video, then use Tsmuxer and open the correct playlist to get the chapters, unrar the audio you just downloaded, put all that info in a folder, then make a new one, open Tsmuxer again, add in the video, add in the PCM audio, and set to English, then click the Blu-ray tab and copy the chapters from the playlist in the custom chapters setting, click create Blu-ray and use the newly made folder as your new BD, then click mux.

wallah, and brand new BD with untouched video, chapters in retail position, and new audio.

The only other BD projects\audio tracks I have done are these,

Return of The Living Dead DTS-HD MA 5.1 (restored original theatrical parts)
Conan The Barbarian Extended Universal & FOX releases DTS-HD MA 5.1 (restored choral parts missing & Custom DTS-HD MA 2.0 Iso Score)
Conan The Barbarian Theatrical Reconstruction Blu-ray (this will have my edited custom DTS-HD MA 5.1, Lossless PCM, custom DTS-HD MA 2.0 Isolated Score) this project is not finished yet!
The Terminator (original lossless PCM)
Night of The Living Dead Forgotten Films release (restored the missing 30+ seconds)
Day of The Dead DTS-HD MA 5.1 (restore the uncensored audio form Arrow release, but use better US video) this project is not finished yet!

and that's it for now, until I think of more LOL.

1130-85 raw files are on the newsgroups now, these were posted by Mallwalker, along with 1478-80, if you want raw.

I upsample each side first, then I start putting them in sync, and yes, I am putting them in sync with the bonus DVD's to be used in my SW BD Set and others, I could share but I won't until my Set is done and I know it is all in proper sync, but like I said above, you mentioned you wanted raw, well they are available now.

Did anyone get Batman Arkham City? I am looking forward to these, and they are all within the new few weeks,

Uncharted 3
Elder Scrolls Skyrim
Assassin's Creed Revelations
I want to rent Arkham 1. Looks awesome.

My Son has beaten Arkham Asylum(1) and he just LOVES it! he plays it over and over, his Birthday is in a couple weeks(he will be 11) I have Arkham City for him, and supposedly this is even better than Asylum if you can believe that.

Plus he has all 3 other games I mentioned above on pre order as well LOL, I have created a little Gamer LOL, but all is good, he gets straight A's in School so I do not worry about it.

Yes The Terminator is a BD25.

Then yes I am in fact interested. Feel free to private message me.

First, do you think I uploaded the entire finished BD? because if you did, you are mistaken, all I did was make the audio file for the BD in complete sync, you have to remux your own BD yourself, the links I am sharing are for audio only.

That's fine.

Check your PM's.

Info (or not): Squeezing more detail from the GOUT

g-force said:

You know, I never thought the GOUT would be so important in a restoration such as Harmy is currently revisiting. Having spent the better part of a year getting the GOUT to look as good as it could, I came across several methods that could eek out some more detail, but these looked really bad on fast-moving scenes, so were abandoned.

I'm wondering if it would be worth digging up some of my old scripts and seeing what more detail could be had in scenes that are more static.

And, while I'm not sure if DJ used any of my advice on how to upscale, people seemed to like his end result, and since I was never a big fan of upscaling sub-SD material to HD, I never really cared what method he ended up using. It turns out that there is one way to do this correctly, and about a million ways to do it wrong.

Between the upscaling and the detail recovery, this might be worth revisiting. Thoughts?

LMAO! This post is so cool.

So let's see,
1) So you want to squeeze more detail out of the more static scenes, well what about the rest LOL.
2) you are not a big fan of upscaling sub-SD material.
3) Don't care how I did it, even though some like it pretty well.
4) Only 1 way to upscale, presumably your way, and all others are wrong.

But now you want to revisit it and try and get more detail, and upscale? this is cool, I can't wait to see what you come up with, I say go for it.

*edit - and for the record, I did not use your advice, it did not give me good enough results, actually DrM gave me much better advice, so I am sure my Set is wrong, but it looks and sounds DAMN good to me for being wrong, and it is helping Harmy out a lot, so I am very happy, I may have read your comments wrong(I have been known to do that) but it sure seems like a dig on me, and my project LOL.

Thanks msycamore, but I go through the whole length of the timeline, you would be amazed at how many little spots you will find, I think I had like 8-10 little edits in side1 alone.

If only there was a website for all this audio stuff.......

Another thing, according to the LDDB, the Special Widescreen Edition and Japanese Special Collection have Digital and Analogue tracks. Out of interest, has anyone compared how these sound side-by-side??

LOL to the bold underlined part Russ, I think I just said that to.

I can compare those at some point, I have the captured Analogue tracks from the JSC and the Digital rips, but I have ZERO interest to do it at this time, and that is only because I have to sync some audio it appears and that is going to be boring enough work LOL.

Trying to be helpful for once, I have tried doing some internet research to see if there is any resource out there that could help us answer this burning question. Unfortunately, the most popular hit is for my GTF page for your Dark/Sega Special Collection Transfer Project followed by numerous OT.com links!!

I will try again with some lateral thinking and see if I can come up with anything......

Thanks Russ, just as soon as we are fairly certain, or as certain as we can be, then I will go to work on these audio tracks and replace my captured versions with these updated versions, but my current thinking on it now is that yes these are correct, and it seems that you and Mallwalker think the same, we will see what Mallwalker says when he stops back by the thread though, but thanks for still looking into this, it is to bad there is no website for all this audio stuff LOL.

I don't know for sure.

Damn, well I guess I will not work on any audio just yet, I want to know for certain, or at least as positive as we can be, so if anyone knows anyone, or has any thing we can read up on, please post it, because this is to much work to do just to find out it is not right.

Thanks DM

@ Darth Mallwalker, I know you said you do not know for sure, but what is your educated guess on it? educated guesses may be all we can go on at the moment.

Not to sound harsh or anything but, you always have the previous version to fall back on, and also, you could make your own, any of us that make these projects are well aware that we will not please everyone, and most of us are pretty content with that, it is just the nature of the beast.

I have to say Harmy, I love this approach, go for it man!

Keeping it simple.

Purely based on what I have read on this forum and the other popular Star Wars/LD sites, my answers are, Yes and Yes.

You now have all you are looking for......

I am fairly certain of this as well, but I just want to make sure before I start the long boring process of putting these audio files in sync, and believe me, it is BORING! so if anyone knows anything please let us know.

Thanks

Thanks, but do have answers to these?

Now what I need to know is this, is the Empire Strikes Back above the Theatrical mix? if so, then now I have the Theatrical for both Empire and Jedi so I can replace my captured PCM tracks.

1 more thing, are these Digital PCM tracks the same tracks that are on the Japanese Special Collection? if so, then no need to rip them correct?
