Star Wars OT & 1997 Special Edition - Various Projects Info (Released)
Time

I just want to thank everyone for all the kind words, we are at the authoring stages on both the SW BV2 as well as the ANH97SE Blu, then I will burn copies for testing, it looks like we will have like 4 projects done at almost the same time, which is a good thing because I am needing hard drive space bad! HD files take up a lot of room especially when you have 4-5 projects going at once lol.

So stay tuned goodies are on the way!

So, since there's a good version of the original soundtrack, any chance for someone to edit the color to the new blu-ray and bring the picture back to its original timing?

I am redoing the audio because I have learned a lot since my first attempt, this new software and method will make this sound way, way better, hell I re did the Conan audio and it was a huge difference! so yes there will be an all new PCM track and we are going to re do the color timing on the new remastered BD as well as T2, so stay tuned.

Thanks for all the interest guys!

dark_jedi: that's why you said that V2 is not for everyone? Because the whole project is just a huge ego trip?

I have always said these upscale projects are not going to be for everyone(you can read this at the bottom of my 1st post in my original thread) some like these types of projects some don't, also the color, some like these changes some don't, and this project is way more colorful than anything I have ever done, it is really different, it actually took me a while to get used to, and you say an "ego" trip, lmao! yea a gout project is surely a great feeling ego trip.

and we kind of want to keep the exact settings a bit secret, at least for now.

Why, in a community that is transparent and giving like this one, would you would want to do this? I think I know the answer, but I would love to hear your take on it.

-G

OH please enlighten the whole community with your answer oh great one, you are such an arrogant piece of ........

:: Despite your attempt to self-censor, this is still a personal attack to my eyes. Since you've already had a warning, under the forum rules you have now gained yourself a temporary ban.

-M

and you can sit there and type away that your shit is in this script all you want, but this was one of my goals from the start that I wanted everything you have done OUT! you act like you are the know all of everything GOUT related, well sir your shit has been passed up now so why don't you just take a seat and STFU!

some people, unbelievable lmao, but it is cool that this bothers you though, it must suck for you.

However..... The first person to reply to this I'll be willing to burn a dvd of the hgh-res files for, so long as they're able to upload them themselves so others can access them. I classify these as high quality preservations of the LPs for those that already own them, but either don't have a record player any longer, or the one they have isn't much cop...

First reply to this below (don't pm) gets the dvd :)

7FN

I can upload them to the Spleen for you if you would like.

Update for anyone interested in this project, yes it is done, but I really did not want to release this without a nice menu, so a HUGE thanks to my menu guy for creating one for this release, and along with this release I will also include ABC's remastered Conan The Barbarian Score CD, so if you are familiar with his work, you know it is going to sound AWESOME! great job to ABC for this and allowing me to share it with my US reconstruction BD, and as you may have already seen there is beautiful artwork already done for this release as well by Imrahil, for complete credits read post #37.

@bkev: Infinity is right, I wasn't involved in the V3 DVD project. That one's DJ's own work.

Not entirely true my Friend, I did use someones script on this with color tweaks by me, but this new Blu V2 and video file for DVD V4 will just BLOW the V3 right out of the water, to me the V3 sux lol, but that is only because of what U2 and I are doing currently, but because of how good this version will be is why it is taking longer to finish, plus U2 and I do not want to get burned out, we both have other things to do as well and we also need time to play some Diablo III lol.

Plus I have been laid of work for 16 months when things were humming right along, well I just started my new job 3 months ago at Chrysler and we are currently rolling out the all new Dodge Dart, so I am pretty darn busy with that also.

Thanks SilverWook.  By the way, the "progress bar" on the video end shows more time remaining than when I started, so it's slow-going.  I suppose this is why people buy real computers, but that's too late for me!

Build real PC's, not buy, building yourself is a lot cheaper and your PC will be a lot stronger.

Well, wouldn't it be best to take the Blu-Ray of I and II and edit it to match the AMC version, only leaving in the AMC shots when they're different?  That way it's uncensored, and in the best possible quality.

The downside would be that the AMC logo, instead of always being there, would only pop up for extended scenes/shots, disappearing for the rest of the movie, which could be distracting.

You would think, this is exactly what I was thinking, not only would it be uncensored as you say, but it would be the best quality for sure, this is what I would do, strange.

Fans of the books please bear with me, I haven't read them but usually villains (even cruel sadists) have some feature of interest which makes them compelling to watch or read.

Young King Joffrey is just a nasty little git.

There is nothing interesting, redeeming, or entertaining about him at all so far in the series.

He isn't a love to hate character he is just a vile piece of work and I can't see how any death, no matter how imaginative would work as narrative payback for what he is.

He is like one of the monsters from Salo.

This is why I take issue with the scene of him with the prostitutes this week.  It's not in the books, but it's not a necessary addition either - you don't learn anything new about him, except maybe that he's even worse than you thought.  But we already thought he was a monster, so it doesn't significantly enhance our understanding of the character.  It's just unnecessarily off-putting.

Overall, though, this season's been fantastic, even though it's less faithful to the book than season 1 was.  This is really the only non-book thing so far that I don't like.

Season 2 is pretty damn good so far, but damn do you hate Joffrey or what, I really hope he gets what is coming to him, hopefully Ned's Daughter will give it to him in the end.

Too funny, big guys defending little Sporties, I bet you look really good on one lmao, but anyways to each their own right? if that is what you ride, then that is what you ride, so be it, at least we are riding!

Well I finally put in the new battery and cleaned it up and got it out, now I just want the weather to warm up just a wee bit more, still a little chilly here, but this is what I have.

Pay-it-forward doesn't work and i'm not going to be doing it this time around.  I will be sending out a certain amount of copies but not for PIF. I sent out over a hundred copies last time, many of them to people who promised to make copies and send them to people closer to them that asked. but only a handful bothered to PIF. The rest just disappeared after they got the copy, many not even bothering to stick around to say thanks.

The main releases will be upload to newsgroups, then it is up to others to add it elsewhere. The chances are, if things go according to plan here in my personal life, then i probably won't even have a fast enough connection to upload any versions myself, so i would have to rely on the help of trusted others to get them to newsgroups in the first place.

You got that right Ady, I used to use PIF years ago and it never worked, it always stopped somewhere, that is why I ditched it a long time ago, and will never use it again, from now on I am going to be very picky\choosey to who I ever send stuff to again, I completely understand the no thanks or feedback what so ever from some and it is pretty damn sad, but live and learn right?

When you are finished and do need help still getting it uploaded just send me a PM, I have just upgraded my cable account and my internet is faster than ever, and I thought I had a very fast connection before lol, well anyways just throwing that out there.

I wish you well in your personal life, I hope all is well.

I'm glad there's a few of us on here. I am sad that almost everything biker related is skulls, flames, or scantily clad women, none of which are my style. I started making some nerdy helmet stickers before I burned myself out.

http://www.cafepress.com/togoboldly

I agree, and I hate to buy all Harley clothing to, I have a very good Friend(actually the Guy that taught me to ride) and all he wears is Harley stuff, I keep telling him he looks like he just stepped out of a catalog, do-rag, jeans, boots, t-shirts, etc. it is just waaaay to much lol, I have maybe 2 t-shirts and that is it, and they were given to me when I bought my latest Fat Boy, not to mention Harley branded clothing is crazy expensive.

Everyone here who rides should post pics of their bikes, would really like to see what some of you have.

Fat Boys are pretty awesome. My wife almost got a Fat Boy Low, but we decided to start smaller.

Yes they are and definitely my favorite of all the Harleys, after seeing Terminator 2 lol that is when I decided that was the Bike for me, and the new ones are even bigger\beefier than the older ones, I just love that huge back tire and fender now and the thicker handle bars and such, I will post pics of mine just as soon as I charge up the battery so I can pull it out to take up to the dealership for a new one, I am ready to friggin ride! always love this time of year.

Girls on Sporties is cool, but guys, not so lol.

anyways mine needs a new battery so I need to get one fast, weather is starting to finally cooperate around here, and my slightly customized 07' Fat Boy is calling my name big time, I say slightly because all I have done is add a full Vance & Hines exhaust and a Pro Performance Hypercharger with K&N Filter and a quick release sissy bar for when the Wife or Kid is on.
