Is Jurassic Park already in sync with the BD? and if so where is this?
Thanks

So what Cinema DTS CD's do you have Jetrell?
Whatever titles you see in the first post that say (Found) are ones I have. The only one that is not listed because it isn't needed is Monsters Inc..
OK thanks, I did not notice the "(found)" and "(searching)" lol, I was just going to see if there was anything useful.
Thanks

The original recording has a magic to it that will never be recaptured. The Prometheus is very different by design, which is part of why I like it so much. If the attempt was to re-create the original performance, it would have fallen quite flat. Although Raine and the CPPO have done some stunning re-creations (Jarre's Lawrence of Arabia, Goldsmith's Hour of the Gun, Rózsa's El Cid, to name a few), Poledouris had a unique touch, and this score was his magnum opus.
I've recently taken a closer look at the Blu-ray and have to say that the film looks very odd. When I pull out my laserdisc and compare the two, the laser has a more natural appearance. I don't know how much of that is because that's the version of the film I'm used to and how much is the original theatrical color-timing, but I seem to recall the special edition DVD looking a lot more like the laser (color-wise, anyway) than the Blu-ray does.
Please forgive me for asking so much about the details of this release, it's just that it's not an exaggeration to say that it is a dream come true to have a good copy of the American theatrical version of Conan with score-oriented audio options. This was one of my favorite films and scores growing up, and this disc represents EXACTLY what I would have wanted.
Our Theatrical release looks just like the old LD and DVD's did, we have the theatrical color timing restored, you will be happy!

dark_jedi, those caps look excellent. I'm glad you're undertaking this project. The Terminator movies really should look better than they do on BD.
Most of them look fantastic, all better than the cyan-shifted BD. However, for what it's worth, the pink feels a bit too strong to me on: the cap of Reese and Sarah in the motel room (though this might just be an effect of the fluorescents), and the final shot of Sarah (whites seem to be just a tad pink). However, these are just my opinions; I don't pretend to be a bonafide technical expert on the film, so feel free to disregard.
That being said, what program do you use for color-correcting, out of curiosity? Apologies if it's been stated before; I'm just planning on color-correcting a little something of my own.
Avisynth scripts and curve files created by You_Too, same way we did the Star Wars releases.
We need help on extras guys, we, our Team has the US Special Edition DVD and the UK special Edition, and now thanks to dvdmike we have the video, if there is no Iso Score I may look into what are the best CD's available and slap one together lol, so please help us figure out what is not available as extras on any of The Terminator BD releases.
Thanks

For terminator 2 are you guys only doing the theatrical cut?
Those screen shots of the first terminator look awesome by the way!
Yes, only Theatricals here.
OK here are the new ones, I went smaller in size to upload them faster, if anyone wants to see anything specific please let me know, thanks, and as before please share your thoughts on these.

OK So what extras that were available on DVD did not get ported over to the Blu-rays for T1 and T2? there are not that much for T1, but were there some missed for T2, while we are at these we may as well port over all missing(or at least try) extras from both releases, also was there any Isolated Score on any of the releases for these 2 films?
Thanks
The skynet has all the extras bar the guns and roses video from the laserdisc, but I have that ripped along with the trailers if you need it
Thanks, we will probably need them, so ALL extras have been ported over then for both T1 and T2? if so this will make things move a lot faster then lol, so it looks like more of a recolored movie with theatrical audio BD, I could have sworn I read some bitching that some extras were not ported over, but in this case I am glad to be wrong, less work for us.
So were there no Iso Scores for either film? if not, well who knows, maybe an all new extra like we did for Conan.
Thanks for the help
The Prometheus Score is not being dropped, I am going to leave it on there as its own Iso Score option, I kind of like it to but I LOVE the original much, much more, it is just that the Prometheus score was obviously not used in creating the complete original score by Basil, there was just no way because they sound so different.

OK here are the new screens, there are a lot of them lol, so please share your thoughts with us, thanks.
*new ones coming*
Well we already compared the T2 releases and we decided this version is better of them all, but please share your thoughts anyways.
Well we are getting some not so good comments and the Blu-ray Forum lol, we are now worse then Lucas, here is a quote from HDvision,
"These shots are ridiculous. If you like the video look, keep the old Blu-release. You are destroying the original look, I hope you are conscious of it, you're worse than Lucas. You want the movie too look like the bad transfer you are used to. It's all wrong."
We have dialed back the red a little more and I will post new teaser screens soonish.
Please share your thoughts on our teaser color screens on the previous page, thanks.

Man, I'm so excited about this set you have no idea! How long has the team been working on ANH? How long do you think it will take to get ESB and ROTJ done? I know I'm probably annoying with these sorts of questions, but I really just can't wait :)
How long have we been working on SW BV2 and ANH 97 SE Blu, I do not even want to know lol, but it seems like forever, and I am sure the other 2 would agree, but I feel like once these 2 are out the others will not take to long, we are only going to fix the worst parts, not the whole film, and the 2 remaining 97 SE's won't take long at all, ESB BV2 is going to take the longest by far of the remaining titles.
On a positive note I already have the ESB work print done and ready to go, and to be honest another thing that will add some time is we like tot take breaks and work on "non Star Wars" releases, these projects help keep us sane lol.
Here is a little teaser to show what direction we are going with on the color, and here is a quote form You_Too on the balance of the remastered version for all of those that think it is right lol.
"Btw here's a frame comparison for those who think the remaster is nicely balanced! This is before Arnold first appears, when the screen goes white.
In the remaster they've made the screen go green instead."
here is the screen to go with that quote, followed by where we are at.
*removed old screens, do not want to get confused here lol.*

Wish I could be of help with the artwork, thought the ones on the first page looked great. Would be really cool to have 3 disc and 6 disc art though!
They do look great but every one of them would need to be edited for the new release, there is many changes on this new V2 Set, so unless they all get edited to match some will be of no use anymore for V2.
Yes we have a very fine Team, You_Too and I have become very good friends and my menu guy has been a friend for a long time as well, we all understand each others time schedule and we all just gel very well, we will hopefully be together for a long time to come and release a bunch more "non Star Wars" projects after these are done, all 3 of us have tons of ideas and we try our hardest to get them to pass, and our 4th member for the Conan project I have worked with before on the ESB Imperial Edition DVD, he has become a very good friend as well, he really is a super nice guy, the whole Team is super cool to work with, but unfortunately the 4th partner has said that he is done after Conan, we really would love to see him stay but he said he is done and is moving on, here is to hoping he changes his mind, fingers crossed.

Cool - will that be two different color timing choices then?
Yes, we will have our preferred version, The Special Edition, and then the original Theatrical color timed version.
Harmy said:
Yeah, that's exactly the thing - the way I understand it, when they are authoring seamless branching professionally, they can determine where the data for each chapter will physically be on the disc and thus make sure the playback doesn't skip during the transitions. I am fascinated by BD features like maximum movie mode as seen for example on the last two Harry Potter films and Terminator Salvation. Basically it turns the film into a similar thing like Jambe Davdar's docs, only it does it in real time, using the actual HD footage of the main feature on the disc. This would be awesome if I could do something like this on the DeEd BD, because then it could pause on each despecialized shot and explain how it was done and show some before/after footage and stuff but it's just way out of the realm of possibility here.
EDIT: That sounds really interesting DJ. Which project are you doing this for?
Our Night of The Living Dead 1990 Special Edition BD50.
Our 4th member for this project, our audio guy reconstructed and remastered the original 4-track tape mixing, all sync up with the original mono mix. The Intrada is the less important source and has only been used for completion. That means he's been restoring the score preserving the original rich stereo image that was lost on this latter release.
Also he ignores the re-recordings, he hates them.
It would be a shame not to go 1080p, if the scan lets you then I would just seek help or upgrade your PC lol, would be a shame not to take full advantage of the scan, just my 2 cents.

I have the "accidental" International DVD release that is uncut if it helps any ....
I also got it before it was yanked, so no, but thanks.

Blu-ray forum ugh! sorry, they are sheep on the whole.
But yes is is the best of a bad bunch but not by a lot, I would aim for a 1:1 encode on the video tho as all the advantages will be lost if not.
Have you tried syncing the "CDS" track yet? I cannot for the life of me get it to lock in. I am in the process of ripping the Dolby surround track from the first LD
Do not worry at all about the video, it will look good, we will lose nothing in what we do.
I have not tried yet but it is all ready to go.
