Conan The Barbarian 1982 US Theatrical Edition & BONUS! *RELEASED*

OK I just got the audio files from ABC, and I have to say that they sound FUCKING KICK ASS! the 5.1 and 2.1 tracks he created sound beautiful, and the complete Score is nothing short of amazing, I am currently testing a BD 50 of our full bitrate video and all these audio tracks and so far I am finding very hard to watch the film without the HD 5.1 track, it is that damn good, ABC knows his shit and does this stuff very well, and to have a complete 1982 Score on the BD is just wicked lol, and the Conan Symphony, Basils last performance, well there just is no words, well any ways I have listed the specs and as you can see the 5.1 is now the default, some may complain but the original LD audio is still present, OH and I forgot to mention his all new created Stereo PCM 2.0 track, I really doubt anyone that gets this will even listen to the PCM mono 2.0 track lol, I am not right now.

So a HUGE thanks to ABC for his involvement with this project, I really I could convince him to join the Team but he has said many times once this is done and the all new 2-Disc CD Set he is done with all this audio work, this is to bad, he and his work will be missed.

Video:
1080p AVC @ 30 Mpbs avg.

Audio:
1. PCM 2.0 (Mono)
2. DTS-HD MA 5.1
3. DTS-HD MA 2.1
4. PCM 2.0 (Stereo)
5. PCM 2.0 (Complete 1982 Isolated Score)
6. DTS-HD MA 2.0 (2010 Isolated Score)

Extras:
US Theatrical Trailer
Cast and Filmmakers' Bios
Production Notes
DVD Booklet Scans
Conan The Symphony (Last concert by Basil Poledouris)

***After further thought I am going to change the default back to the original LD PCM track because it is Theatrical, all the other options are bonuses, plus it can very easily be changed through your remote or the pop up menu or the main audio menu.***

Well if You_Too is up to it, which he already said he was but only after getting some of these releases we have now out the door, we can do this, I am in, so after we get some of these projects we have now going out into the wild I will rip the video of FOTR EE to my BD and we will get started, because this will pretty much just be a video fix, there is nothing extra to add to this and audio on this is fine.

1 other thing I wouldn't mind doing also is I believe the EE is spread out on 2 BD's, would be nice to have the movie on 1, but that is just me.

I really doubt this will happen, a re-release that is, if you wade through the 1000's of posts at blu-ray.com Forums I believe this was approved this way, that is why this discussion was dropped a long time ago, but I see not here lol, but time will tell, I certainly am not going to hold my breath on it, that is why we are here, Team Blu lol, this is our specialty.

I actually have not seen Conan before, but with the previous references I have of his work and yours I am sure it is amazing. I remember seeing awhile ago that you were working on or had worked on a Conan restoration. Is your and ABC's work intertwined or coincidental?

He has just stayed in touch with me and when he saw what I we were doing with Conan he contacted me and now he is our 4th member with this project, he is great to work with, hell all my partners are great to work with, super cool and very friendly.

Not sure if you are a fan of the score from Conan The Barbarian but ABC has truly undoubtedly outdone himself on this set, he himself said that ESB work does not even compare to this, now this score sounds totally fantastic, and the new 2 disc CD Set he made for this release is amazing! his work really shines on this, crisp, clean and POWERFUL!

Hello, could I also have a pm for these projects? I've always wanted to listen to the original sounds. :D

EDIT: There was an isolated soundtrack for the 1st movie and I have them all. Haven't looked for the second one though.

Weird, on my blu-ray the colors looked like the bottom ones you posted for your recoloring?

What release had the Iso Scores?

OK it is a done deal for all those that donate BD25's and or BD50's, you will all get your copies in BD cases with the art already printed, but we can't shrink wrap lol, and NOTLD 1990 SE will have a black BD case with slipcover and Conan The Barbarian US TC will also have a slipcover.

Thanks to those that have already sent blanks in both sizes! We really appreciate it very much, Thank you.

Have you had time to go through all the PM´s about donations yet ? I still haven´t had a reply, so was just wondering :)

Please resend with what you would like to do, Thanks.

I am very happy to hear about this.  Are you guys planning on uploading it to MySpleen?  I've put off buying a BD burner for some time, but it looks like I'll have to get to it now :)

Spleen or newsgroups, I am not sure I want to seed these huge files forever, so I am leaning towards newsgroups, but we will see once I finally have these authored and can start testing, plus all that donate and my Team get their copies first.

Thanks

@DoomBot: I'm 100% sure it can be tweaked more to look even better.

Back then after balancing out the green shift, all I could do to correct what was left was using avisynth's built-in "tweak".

Since I helped Harmy with the color correction of the Star Wars BD, I've had the excellent plugin selectivecolour by Darth Editous which mimics the behaviour of the Photoshop standard plugin with the same name. It allows for a much nicer color correction.

We might have to revisit Fellowship then and do it right lol, I would not mind doing this, maybe later after we finish the 100 projects we got going now lol.

Should I change the thread title guys to Raiders?

Lets please make our won thread for a Raider Discussion, I have zero interest in this.

There's already an Indiana Jones thread. Things just got derailed a bit here.

I know, I read it, I am just hoping we can get back to our project, which is Terminator 1 & 2.

Thanks

I am not sure if there are many fans of this crazy movie but I like it, even though it is cheesy as hell lol, but in case you guys did not know, Scream\Shout Factory is releasing this in a few months and they already confirmed that it will be the censored 91 minute version, well we have already began working on the 2 scenes that are missing and have upscaled them nicely to 1080p, we just want to have these ready for when it releases, now I know that these will probably not be as good as the BD, but until it releases and we actually see how it will look, who knows, it could fit in very nicely, because I seriously doubt this is going to be a "knock you socks off" transfer, but I am sure it will be good.

Then I will need to fix the audio, I am assuming it will be DTS-HD MA 2.0, but again, who knows, it could end up being 5.1

Stay tuned, also is there any interest in this?

Do any of the HDTV version have the nude scenes?

The MGM-HD UK showings are indeed the uncut version, with the Barbeaubies and the party scene.  I should know; RIG from TehParadox ripped it for me and I checked it out last night.   In 1080p too.

Where can we get this file? this would obviously be better footage to use to edit into the BD when released.

Thanks

Everything looks great in those latest screenies. It's just nice to see it looking more how it was before the teal shift but with the extra definition that comes with the latest blu-ray transfer.

Another good test shot is when Arnie beats up those punks, and you can see the lighting around him is blue in the previous releases.

Working with the 97 SE Trilogy files was actually pretty fun, can't wait to hear them while watching our SE Blu's

You guys are using the Cinema DTS for those, correct?

Yes, this is our main audio for our 97 SE Trilogy Blu Set.

The what set? I missed that, I thought the 97 set would not sync with anything

We are doing an OT 720p Blu Set as well as a 97 SE 720p Blu Set, as a matter of fact SW and ANH 97 SE are about done, both are BD25's.

Hi DJ. Will you be revising your replacement audio for the European version, too, or just the US theatrical? Thanks.

I would like to say yes to that because I have learned so much and I know I can do better, but with all we have going it is going to be a while.

You are talking about the fixing of the DTS-HD MA 5.1 track correct?
