adding LFE to GOUT (Released)
Time

@Satanika,

method 1b & 3b are very,very nice,1b has the nice rumble feeling,3b seems to be lessened a wee bit,method 1 & 3 are OK,but not as good as there b counterparts.

Method 2 & 2b are really bad, both make the rear surround speakers crackle really bad,had to shut these 2 off ASAP,so I would scrap those altogether.

Do you have these in full form ready for the GOUT DVD's?

also check your PM's

GOUT image stabilization - Released
Time

I won't make them AVCHD's,just not enough there to make them look good.

Well both ANH and ROTJ are finished, they are both DL DVD's and wiegh in at 7.03 GB for ANH,and 7.54 GB for ROTJ,like I said above,ESB lossless avi will be rendered tonight and the finished DVD within a day or 2 after that, then once these are done I will devote my time to finishing my "Take 2" on the Japanese Special Collection Trilogy, hopefully with g-force's help, hint, hint.

When you demux with pgcdemux you have to select 'create Celltimes.txt' but make sure you unselect 'Include end time'.

Pgcdemux gives you the chapters in Celltime.txt.

Now when you mux with muxman you need to select 'file' on the top left side of muxman and then 'Import chapter'. Then you browse for the Celltime.txt that pgcdemux created.  Then import all the streams you want to mux. Thats it.

Thank you I will try it right now.

Replace video on Retail DVD with your own?
Time

Thanks guys I knew there was software for this, and I already had it on my PC to.

I have just replaced the ANH GOUT video with my new video, kept the other spoken languages, but do not have the damn English subs,so I need to somehow get them onto the new DVD and finally be done with it,I want to keep this 100% original,I want it to be exactly like the retail in every way, complete with warnings, and xbox trailer and demo, which are ALL there, just need the English subs and it will be complete, this is the way GL should have released it,but we already know that.

Thanks again

Not sure everyones intentions are for this file, but me I want to place it into the retail DVD and keep everything intact, warnings and all,I want this to look the way it should have been released, with that said I just hit a road block,I have ANH done pretty much, everything works and all is there even the xbox trailer and demo LOL,but I NEED to add the English subs in to be complete, and everyone knows I have a HELL of a time with damn subs,so does anyone know how I can mux the subs back in and be done with ANH?

Then I will do the same treatment to ROTJ.

I will render ESB to a lossless avi for encode tonight, once done then I will decide how to share.

Since I will have the 3 30+ GB's lossless avi files I would like to make a nice Xvid out of them and maybe an x264 file as well,I know how to make an Xvid but not an x264 file, anyone know how?

Well that is where I am at now.

I am wanting to get this done to start my new project,"Take 2" of the Japanese Special Collection Trilogy.

I didn't do the ivtc of the new capture yet. But I use virtualdub's manual ivtc. I process the entire movie 5 times (for every ivtc setting) and than I cut out all the properly ivtced parts from these 5 sources to create the whole movie again. Lot of work.

yes that does sound like a lot of work,I use avisynth, but I will figure something out,I was curious if the pattern changes from LD side to LD side,or if it actually changes throughout the same side?

Hi Russ, you are right it has been a long time coming LOL,glad to see you here my good friend.

Arnie.d,this first capture I think is setup wrong,I found some settings I forgot to set, like I said it has been a while since I had my LD player hooked up to my PC,I am going to play with the settings a little more, and hopefully capture ANH tonight, and I just checked my LD's for any sign of rot,and there is NO tackiness around them yet, thank GOD.

so how did you IVTC yours,if I remember right it changes throughout the movie.

and I will filter a little bit,I am hoping Moth3r,Dr.M and G-Force will give me a hand in all that, and ChainsawAsh offered to do the menu's and such,I hate doing menu's.

and thank you guys for chiming in,I appreciate it.

As I indicated in an earlier post I can do several types of upmixes, but currently lack the hardware to test them out.. I'm willing to post some samples if there are some who are interested in giving it a listen and giving some feedback, then I could post 5.1 ac3 and dts upmixes for all 3 movies.
There might be minor differences in the upmix algorithms so I'd like for someone to select the 'best' one, instead of just choosing one arbitrarily.

if you want to upload all 3 movies I will try them out,I just finished the video for ANH and ROTJ,about to finish up ESB now.

sure would like to add these in if I can.

And I'd be willing to do the DVD authoring (menus) aspect of it - I have Adobe Encore CS4.

Good I will take you up on that then.

and I am not worried about the X9,I like my Pioneer CLD-79 Elite.

and here is a motion sample:

I am in no way trying to steal the thunder from Arnie.d and this thread   http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/STAR-WARS-V8-A-Final-Attempt/topic/9467/
I have just been saying for a long time that I was going to re-do this and now I am,so any comments, tips, pointers, are more than welcome, this set has always been very cool just because the colors are so different than any of the rest of the versions I have, plus I never used filters,I did not make it anamorphic, and most of all,I did not IVTC it,now I am.

ANH raw capture, only cropping, resizing,IVTC,NO filtering, just so you can see what I am working with:

As you can see it needs some work, but this right now in my opinion looks better than my last JSC release (the Dark\Sega)
just keep in mind this has absolutely NO filters used at this time, and I may even come up with a better IVTC method, alot can change as it progresses, but rest assured it won’t take “to” long, once I start a project I want to get it done and share.

a VIDEO_TS sample links will be added soon so you can see and hear it in motion,it is 420 MB’s.

So give me a hnd with this and start throwing out the suggestions and comments.

ps. I will start deleting the sample pics as we move on,and also, once the video and audio are done,I would love it if someone wanted to take the DVD and make up some nice menu’s,yes a joint venture(I hate doing menu’s LOL)

Thanks

I fooled around with the 5.1 mix a little, but I ran into a pretty major obstacle - I don't have the NTSC GOUT to sync it to, only the PAL, and none of the speed conversions I've tried on video or audio are entirely successful (I suspect the NTSC and PAL versions don't have exactly the same content frame-wise).

Does anyone know a good place to get the R1s in the UK?

can you upload your NTSC version? and did you make 5.1 versions for all 3 films or just Star Wars?
I am using G-Forces script to do all 3 of the films up but would love to add the 5.1 mix to the 3.

If you don't want to upload, exactly how did you make them, maybe I can just recreate what you did and make my own.
