Star Wars Saga on Blu-ray (a joint venture project)
Time

I can make AVCHD Discs all day without a hitch(knocks on wood)so maybe it is a bitrate plus DVD-RW issue,because the clip was encoded at 25mb bitrate LOL,AVCHD discs are only what 7-9mb bitrate.

maybe I could try lowering it(bitrate)and see what happens,my BD SL & DL RE's won't be here until next week sometime,my drive should be here any moment now today.

This is starting to frustrate the friggin shit out of me now,every single time I make a sample to check on my PS3 and BDP-S350 they stutter on the S350,I tried making AVCHD's and Blu-ray using TSmuxer and MultiAVCHD,and burning to a DVD-RW,could using an RW be the problem? also does not matter which encoder I use to,whether it be MeGUI using the free x264,or Sonics CineVision,same shit,but plays smoothly on the PC,and from the PS3,just won't boot and play from the PS3,I have to locate the file then play it.

So does anyone have any idea's here so I can get something friggin finished already LOL,this is really trying my patience,and I have none already to try.

@g-force,do you have anything for ESB yet or just ANH?

I think it looks too magenta.

Agreed. DJ, I sent you the wrong numbers (from memory).

So you talked me into sending you the script from memory for "just for playin around", and then go and post the results. Oh well. ;)

Here is the actual script that seemed to work well for ANH:

Levels(0,1.5,255,0,255)
yv12 = last
ConvertToRGB32
r=ShowRed.  Levels(0,.75,255,10,255)
g=ShowGreen.Levels(0,.80,255,10,200)
b=ShowBlue. Levels(0,.75,255,10,190)
MergeRGB(r,g,b)
ConvertToYV12
MergeChroma(yv12,last)

It's all in fun man,I surely are not serious yet,but even with the magenta look it still looks way better than the source,and if you read closer you will see I put "rough" in there,just havin some fun man,just havin some fun.

LOL changing the frame rate and slowing down the audio is the easiest thing about this project,it is the subtitle masking and trying to figure out what damn encoder to use,I would like to give CineVision a shot because it was the only one that played very well on my PS3 and Sony BDP-S350,when I encoded with friggin MeGUI I got a lot of stuttering during playback,did not get any with CineVision at all.

and on a kick ass note,I will have my Pioneer BDP-230 this Thursday and already ordered BD-RE's,and BD-R's,and have a case of Blue Blu-ray cases.

GOUT image stabilization - Released
Time

I used version 4 on my last set,and to me it looked good on my 65" HDTV being upconverted,I did not like the way the latest v6.64 looked on my setup,v4 looked better to me,maybe not to others,but it did to me,I do not stare at still frames and judge all my work on them alone,yes they do show a lot,but I am all about the motion video,I want to see it how I am going to be watching it.

The version I am using when I redo the set will still be version 4 again,but with subtitle changes and added the ESB fix into it,if g-force shows something different than v6.64 before I start my 2nd set of version 4 then I will certainly test it out,but for right now I am going ahead with what I have.

hopefully that cleared it up for you.

Yes all I want is the fix for the "magic tree" scene for the version 4 script,I do not like v6.64 so I will not make a new version to that,but the ESB problem needs to be fixed,and yes I am moving the subs up into the very bottom portion of the movie on SW and ROTJ,so to make a long story short,I will be doing all 3 over 1 more time.

OK I am going to do new versions of these movies so I am running some tests,here are some screens,and also the gold trim behind Solo is shaking again,it was fixed but it is back,so I was wondering is there any way to just add the "magic tree ESB" fix to the version 4 script?

here are the samples

video sample
http://www.sendspace.com/file/yygneg

and before anyone comments on the sub placement,yes I moved them,I want them in the video now like the HD files I have,so now when I do other GOUT projects I do not have to worry about adding them back in again,plus I like how it looked on the HD files,hell if I could get that font,I would use it instead of this one,but not sure what font was used.

looking at these samples again,to me it seems v4 looks better,these look blurry,like a little out of focus,so it would be nice to have the "magic tree ESB" fix for version 4,if you need version 4 I can PM it to you.(that is the version I used to make the first set)

Wookie Groomer's 1080p Star Wars Saga project (Released)

Guys, I just was notified of the problem with New Hope, it was ripped from my Bluray disk which apparently had failed the burn process without any notification and playback was fine till I went to point in question. This error did not exist prior to the burn.

With the amount of piss and vinager that pours out of this forum I must be some kind of saint to fix this and repost it again, which I promise to do. This was the only release I rar'd down from the bluray disk directly. Empire and Jedi are still raw finished projects from the hard disk that have/are posting so those will not have this problem. I hope you continue to grab Jedi as it should be on par with Empire now.

I'm in the process of correcting New Hope from the original assets.

Thank you very much for responding and taking the time to correct it and re-uploading it,I want to grab these when you are pretty certain they are good,I am new to the Blu-ray burning and creating,this is a whole new ballgame now.

Thanks again WG

ps.I don't suppose you would be interested in working out a deal\trade to obtain these directly from you? if so my PM is always open.
