The audio, I have NO idea what was up with it but I could do nothing with it, I couldn't even sync it up to itself, the audio on ALL the GKAR releases suck, I have no idea if it was screwed up in encoding, authoring or what, but I just could not get it to work, but ALL other DVB broadcast versions sync'd right up, no issues at all in the NTSC conversion.

So basically I edited out all the hard subbed German parts with the TB obviously, then I matched the frames up to the TB and now I can use the NTSC converted TB Jedi audio to sync this bitch up with the LD DD 5.1, what a pain in the ass this one turned out to be, but I like how this one looks.

Star Wars 1977 70mm sound mix recreation [stereo and 5.1 versions now available] (Released)
Time

hairy_hen Thanks for the updated ESB 5.1 mix, do you have any kind of guesstimated time frame for Jedi's updated 5.1 version?

I am also waiting on the finalized version of g-forces Jedi script so your audio was not the only thing I have been waiting on, just so you know.

So in the meantime I will just keep plugging away on the '97 SE v2 Set.

also will you upload the corrected PCM files that were mentioned a few weeks ago?

Thanks

OK now I is HAPPY!, I figured it out and got it to work, because I surely did NOT want to use TB for the base, GKAR looks waaaay better, so this will be ready soon, msycamore thanks for standing by, i will be contacting you very soon.

I want to finish this SE set first since I am still waiting on things for the GOUT v3 set, now all we need is the Jedi script when g-force perfects it and hairy_hens updated Jedi 5.1 and then we are set.

2 Avisynth questions?
Time

Can I use avisynth to remove\delete unwanted single frames throughout a video, and how is this done.

2nd, how can I mark my video's so when I am doing a comparison I can have each one state which video it is up in the corner somewhere? kind of like having a timecode but I just want to know which is which.

Thanks

* edit, scratch the second question LOL, I just made a subtitle that ran the whole length of the video's.

I was also thinking that instead of having 2 audio tracks (stereo and 5.1 DD) on the final release, it would be easier to just have the one 5.1 DD track.

This is exactly what I am doing, no need for stereo at all, I agree with you.

That DTS is not true DTS I am sure, I have that set to and Darth Editous' LD rip of the DD 5.1 sounds way better, and these files will NOT just line right up, there is a lot more to it than you think, believe me, I am working on this now for my set, if this set looks better than the one I am working on, I offered to make NTSC versions for him and sync the DD 5.1 also to it, but have heard no word since.

Hey dark_jedi that sounds like a good deal.

But you do realise people are probably going to be sending you packs of DL's now you've said that? You'll probably end up with more than you would know what to do with. LOL :D

well no one has committed yet but 1 guy here, so we will see, it is cool either way, by NO MEANS is anyone at all obligated, these will be out for everyone sooner or later, although I wish I could keep them from some people.

And there's nothing illegal about editing the video...

Maybe you have not read the FBI warning at the start of ALL movies, it says in whole or in part LOL, take  a read next time, you might be surprised at what you missed.

Plus I was kidding with you and you took it serious, so now I will I guess, it just cracks me up when people say this is illegal, and that is illegal, but then go ahead and release edits and download movie torrents, etc. etc. etc. and release edited versions of their own stuff, and yes your stuff is out there to.

Later dude, have fun.

If you are short on DL DVD-R's to test the final results, I'm sure some fellows on the forum could help with that. Well worth it so these can be mastered from the uncompressed source files for playing in a DVD player at the highest possible quality. :)

Well if any of you have any lying around I would surely take and use them, anyone who does send a pack of DL's WILL get their versions burned for them and then sent to them without having to wait for downloading(you will be the first to see them), I will also throw in the '97 SE v2 set as well, but these are only DVD5's, I have PLENTY of Tayo's for these, I ONLY use Verbatim DVD+R DL made in Singapore, all the rest are crap and will not hold up.

1 member here already took advantage of this, plus he had a "special" request for his own personal set and I have done this for him, it was the least I could do for sending some Verb DL blanks(30 Pack), Thank you man!

right now to test I have to compress the shit out of the files and burn to a DVD5, this really sux LOL

1 more thing, anyone who sends a pack of DL's will also get The Empire Strikes Back Imperial Edition by ABC and myself, so that is 4 bonuses, plus you see this v3 set before everyone else.

GOUT image stabilization - Released

The last comparison definitely shows that the PAL is better in terms of detail.  I definitely think that the ROTJ script should be written for the PAL GOUT.

But you must have missed it, g-force only has the NTSC versions, so those will work, either way the finished product is going to look a TON better than the retail GOUT.

I guess we could convert our PAL version of Jedi to NTSC and then use it instead, if we wanted to do the extra work.
