LOL, I just watched that movie on Blu.
LOL, I just watched that movie on Blu.
BD-RB took the DTS HD Master audio 5.1 and converted to DD 5.1 @ 448, so far it sounds OK, if I could figure out EAC3to I would definitely like to learn how to use it, I don't know how to get the core, not really sure what you mean, this is a new area for me, but the DTS HD Master audio is like 2.25 GB's big LOL.
You are my expert dude LOL, I don't have the patience like you do with these.
Well I just looked in msycamore's sub thread here,
http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Greedo-Jabba-subtitles-theatrical-positioning-and-font-script-video-clip-added/topic/11463/
and the images he shows they are all white, but if yellow is what they are "supposed" to be then I we will change them, but I want msycamore to comment first, like I said, he is my goto guy on the subs.
well it took me 3 hours to use BD-RB to make a BD5 out of my BD50 version of RoTLD, and now I have an ac3 version of the 5.1 audio, damn I hate doing it that way.
msycamore is my sub expert, and this is what he gave me, I thought yellow was for the SE's not the Original Theatrical, hopefully he will see this and chime in.
Well I am going to use msycamores theatrical subs, and aren't you releasing your encodes as well to everyone, I see SW is out and heard ESB is coming from you, mine are just alternatives, so I do not understand your dilemma at all, your script will be posted by you in this thread just like the others right, well no one is making people download mine, so what do you mean no one will see yours, I am really confused by your statement.
So just out of curiosity did you get upset when I changed them in SW? because I surely did not like my yellow subs anymore and the white ones down in the black border kind of suck to, because that is not how it was shown in the Theater and I thought that is what we are trying to accomplish here, but I could be wrong, I have been known for that at times.
also 1 more thing, just so you know the subs are not the only difference here, I am also adding all the available sound mixes for all titles, and a bonus on the ESB DVD, and this set(The V3) will be DVD9's yours are DVD5's.
C3PX I am right there with you, our miniature POM has a bad ticker and is on meds for it but we fear that he will lose the battle soon, it is terrible and my Family is not going to take it well, neither will I for that matter, we had him since he was a very tiny pup, he is getting old but it sure does not help the matter any, and our pets are like our kids to.
I see this in the store(first 2) and have been reading about the Blu-ray Trilogy being released soon, are these really that funny? are the 3 movies on Blu worth $40? because I love a good comedy, but this would definitely be a blind buy for me because I have never seen Family Guy.
Thoughts
The screen is from the lossless avi file, no encoding done yet.
I am pretty sure I do not have it set up right, and I could not find any guides at all on this, and mono wavs is exactly what I need.
How do you slightly blur a subtitle?
Thanks DrM but eac3to SUX!, I cannot figure that out at all, and when I think I have it figured out and try and run it, nothing happens.
well looks like I have to let BD-RB do a backup just to have it convert the darn file for me, damn I did not want to waste time making one when I do not need it, oh well.
I do have that DVD DrM, but the audio is really low and soft, I was going to use that as a last resort if I could not find the Tartan DVD and rip it myself.

DJ,
would you post a screenshot of your v3 ANH that shows what the subtitles look like?
thanks,

Sure, did you get the sample and will it help? the one I sent in your PM.
here is the sub pic.
Well the audio edit should not be to hard, there are not really that many changes and I think it would be easier just to add the cut parts back into the better audio(the version on the newer DVD's and the Blu-ray), instead of going through and sync'ing the whole thing(theatrical) when most of it was unchanged, especially for the 5.1 version.
OH that LOL, isn't that the only time it is shown?
I don't remember ever seeing that when I watched this movie, weird, in any version I had.

I think the burned in text that appears throughout the film also were removed in some releases.
I am not sure what you mean here, burned in text?
Is the original audio on an LD, I thought it was only old VHS and the UK Tartan DVD.
OK I found this at IMDB,
"The TSOL song has been replaced with another song" where is this song played in the movie?
"The Tar Man's voice has been re-recorded." this is easy enough, he doesn't have many lines LOL
"The line "send more cops" has also been re-recorded." this is also easy enough, only 1 line LOL
"The song "Take a walk" has been removed" where is this song played in the movie?
"The song "Burn the flames" has also been shortened." where is this song played in the movie?
Just as the titles says, does anyone know how this is done, I think BD-RB does this when backing up Blu to BD25 or BD5 & 9's but I do not want to do a full back up I just want to rip the audio with TSMuxer but then when ripped how do I convert?
Thanks
So are there any fans of this movie here that are really, really knowledgeable of this film, I admit I did not know that the theatrical audio has been missing from US versions of our retail released DVD’s, and now I find out that the Blu does not have the theatrical either, I guess the only release of the original audio was from old US VHS releases and the UK Tartan 4:3 fullscreen release DVD(does anyone have this) so I am looking for the theatrical audio and then I want to know what the exact scenes were where this audio was at, my goal is to make up a DD 2.0 track and a DD 5.1 track(I will use the DTS HD master 5.1 audio from the Blu downmixed to DD 5.1) and sync both to the Blu.
I will go out on a limb here and guess that there are not to many fans of this movie here LOL, but I friggin LOVE it.
Let me know if anyone knows any of this or if anyone has the Tartan DVD.
Thanks

I have not compared the 2 but the Blu-ray is EXCELLENT!
I have the Blu-ray, and you think Moth3r's LD cap is better than this?
So is the Japanese HD versions and BBC HD versions for all 3 films available somewhere?
