OK, a while back I got a little tutorial on how to encode with x264(from ChainsawAsh) to make MKV files and such, well now I can't find it, does anyone have a how to on this? maybe while waiting on the Jedi subs, and I will have the Jedi Theatrical audio done today, I will try an encode for an MKV.
1 more thing, hopefully this will be in the how to, but when you make these MKV's do you crop out the black bars or are they left? and how are they made anamorphic?
I use BD-RB ALL the time for my BD's and stuff so I know the x264 codec is the shit! really GREAT results.

SAME problems, how can you not see that? compare yours to the ones that were posted for you from someone else, BIG difference, those are NOT blurry at all, you are doing something wrong somewhere, everything you keep posting has the exact same issues, you have not even come close to correcting any of them yet.

Yes you are right, if he is happy with it good for him, but you know well that a cover of that quality would not fly around here, the covers that get worked up for my releases and all others here, are way higher rez than that, and print up nice and crisp.
That cover you re did is still VERY blurry compared to the ones done right, you really need to work on that big time, yours will not print up nice at all.

They are still not right anyways, still way to blurry and not very hi rez enough for printing, he should worry about that first before learning how to keep posting these images.

I am, and in the meantime I just finished the Theatrical PCM for ESB, so now ALL audio files are done for SW & ESB now onto Jedi.
LOL! 384 for 2.0 surround is overkill, 224 or 256 tops is just fine, 384 is where 5.1 usually starts at, but if that is what you want, go for it.

That is OK, like I said, I can get the other 2 done and have ALL files ready to go for Jedi when the subs are done, better to get it right now instead of wishing we did it later, know what I mean?

Well, the reason I'm waiting for Video Collector's Jedi bootleg, is to finally see what the true line breaks and timings were on the theatrical prints.
Damn now I remember you saying that before, my bad, I forgot about that, I can wait a little longer, still have some audio work to do to and at least I can get SW and ESB to DVD now, do you have any idea when you will be getting this bootleg?

Just curious- all the screenshots so far have looked "squished" to me- is that just ImageShack doing that?
They are squeezed 720x480, they have not been encoded to 16:9 yet, this is the lossless avi, to see it unsqueezed you take an image and resize to 854x480 that is what it would be anamorphic.
Has anyone seen the True Grit remake yet? and if so how is it? I just got True Grit the original on Blu-ray and am watching it now, holy shit does this look and sound GREAT for as old as it is.
I think I figured out how to fix the Jedi subs myself, I believe all I had to do was add the interlace=true to all the lines and now it is good to go, msycamore let me know if there is more to it than that.

Give us a few screenshots with stars in them. The biggest problem with the ROTJ GOUT is that the stars look blue, which is kind of annoying. If that can be rectified without screwing up the rest of the movie, that would be amazing.
I seriously doubt there will be a setting to fix that, because EVERY time I look at the beginning I see them damn blue stars no matter what I throw at it.
Hell, if we find a setting that makes the colors pop a little, unfortunately it will probably make the stars better to, and not in a good way.
LOL guys this is just a starting point, but I am still messin with it, and if nothing comes up good, well I guess the re render will be for the subs only, no biggie.
and it is not this tweak vs V3 pick which one now, it is give me some things to try while waiting for the sub script.
Also for the record, I agree with you guys, this starting point sux.
1 thing to note about Jedi also is that it will get re rendered anyways because msycamore is redoing the subs, so we might want to find a good tweak if we can.
