Where do I go from here as a SW fan?

Speaking from my personal experience, no. When I went to see the SE Star Wars in '97, I thought I was going to see an entirely new chapter, like a prequel to the original. I had never seen any promotional materials for the film, so I had no clue what it was. SW was certainly doing okay back in the 90's, and if I were to hypothesize, I would say that it would still be just as popular today as it was back then, dated effects and all.

Where does the sense of entitlement come from? The "he owes us", "we never asked for a SE".... he doesn't owe you nor does he need your permission. And before you say "I bought tickets, DVD's, plastic toys, lollipops, etc." Nobody was/is holding a gun to your head. Stop buying and see how many DVD releases there are.

That is very true. When I bought the VHS releases back in 1995 (I think), I tried to look at whether they would be released sometime in the future. I realized that it said "For the last time ever", but come on, think rationally people. As long as there is money to be made, LFL will keep releasing the saga over and over again. Look at 25 years down the road, or 50, or 100. There will always be new formats coming out, previously "unseen" footage, documentaries, you name it. It will never stop.

Brittney Spears Files for Divorce

Yeah, he was up here in Toronto the day (I mean THE DAY) it happened. Apparently, the Muchmusic film crew was following him around shooting for a show called "A Day In The Life", and as he was at dinner, he got visibly upset after receiving a text message. He went outside for half an hour, told the camera crew to stop filming, and when he came back, he could barely talk.

LOL

I love Canada.

Star Wars HD coming in November! All SIX movies!
Time
I should mention that if there's anyone planning on capturing this, and has Cinemax on Demand, apparently Lucasfilm will be showing "more than a dozen special features and footage - from original concept art to the behind-the-scenes looks at the making of the saga's creatures, weaponry and more" (as per it's press release). That might be a good thing to get as well, although I have no idea whether these are entirely new featurettes or old material just re-aired.

There are also supposed to be "trailers and behind-the-scenes" content available on the Cinemax website during the airing of the films tonight (though it might stay on there longer).

Anyone see ER last week (11-02-06)? RE: Padme's death

When you're really old, the likelihood of dying soon is pretty good anyway. Being wracked with depression only compounds the problem because you're not likely to do things that are going to keep you vibrant and healthy. So really you can still break it down to a physical reasoning for death.

That is true. A very old person living in a retirement home, who has no family to visit because they are incapable of walking, sitting around alone all the time, I would expect that they would not have much of a will to live. A relatively young woman who just choked by her husband for a few seconds (representing the galactic equivalent of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston going at it) and then giving birth to new life, and then "not having the will to live" is horses#$@.

"Oh Annie, you're breaking my heart!"

Opinion Poll on Go-Mer-Tonic

So, are you trying to imply that a person who overtly acts like a troll is somehow worse than an individual who has been stringing users on other message boards along for years? Have you bothered to run a Google search on this guy? Jesus, it's horrible. I just tried looking through more of his posts, and I am frankly surprised those places let him get away with his behaviour for so long. Yeah, I bet you will keep responding to him. You only make it worse when you give in. I've seen this type of behaviour before. There was a guy who used to post over at the StarTrek.com forums, who would sign in, be as sweet as a button to every user. He would post in one forum only, and the topic would always go around to political discussions. He would derail threads all the time. You couldn't speak ill of the Republicans or he would engage you in long, rambling debates that got completely away from the subject at hand. That poster was banned many times, and he still kept coming back. I believe Go-Mer is similar in a way. He doesn't realize that this is ORIGINALTRILOGY.com. When you come on praising the prequels, putting George Lucas on a pedestal and completely changing topics to redundancy over and over again, there's a definite problem. That's all I'm going to say on this.

Edit for post below: Really.

Apocalypse Now - Workprint (now available) (Released)

Well, if you win the auction Mr. Krugj, and are able to transfer it to DVD, I have a couple DVD_Rom feature type deals you could add to it. I won one of the original programs from 1979 on Ebay, as well as a book (I think it's called Bloombury's Movie Guide) that documents every facet of the making of the film. I can also get articles and the like together if you plan on doing an extras section.
