MR. F!
I definitely would like to see more comparisons to Legacy.
Often shots from the final cut of a film will look different from the trailers that are released while the film is still in post.
Just checking in on this project since I last saw it.
The Laserdisc is on AsianDVDClub.
The only time I’ve ever seen Jaws was through a shitty Pan & Scanned stream for a college class. Obviously I know “better” versions are out there but I’d like to hear the original mono audio for my next viewing of the film.
Is the Blu-ray for all intents and purposes acceptable to watch for purists like me? Are there any visual changes to the film itself or differences in color grading that have to be corrected?
Hopefully somebody can cut an isolated score track with these materials. Thanks!

Spike TV was definitely broadcasting in HD. I remember seeing those when they aired and noticed they were in HD, but as Silverwook said they were tiltscanned into 16:9.
HDTV Widescreen versions are available on your favorite organ. I’ve never looked for any sort of P&S HDTV version but I doubt that kind of thing even exists really.
I’m looking for faithful versions of all the Bond films to watch for the first time ever. Are any of the Blu-rays for any of the films good? Which ones should I avoid? Are there any HD preservations I should be aware of?
It’s on the Star Wars Youtube channel.
I have to agree. They’re a bit devoid of life.
This looks fantastic! Now I just need a myspleen invite…
(Is it against forum rules/etiquette to ask for one?)
You have a PM.
I hope the PM says Aprils Fools.
I’ll check it out tonight. What all is different from 2.6?
Got it! Thanks for the help.
What alt.binary is the 35mm located in on usenet?
Are your ears working?
Yes, the algorithm increases the range of the colors to span the maximum range from 0-255, but it doesn’t adjust the contrast or perform a gamma correction. That would be a post-processing step.
Is that something that the algorithm could perform after expanding the maximum range?

I used UltraISO to open the .bin files and extracted them as MPEG files. From there, all you have to do is throw the first MPEG in MKVToolNix and append the other two to that first one and voila.
