Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1. Absolutely amazing in every definition of the word.

Helluva Boss.
I was at FanExpo in Dallas yesterday. It was some of the most fun I’ve ever had. I finally got to meet my childhood hero and favorite actress, Tara Strong. She’s one of the nicest and sweetest people I have ever met.
The Criterion Collection LD master of Pulp Fiction was supervised and approved by Tarantino himself. I also think the original US Blu-ray was approved by him as well. Don’t know about the 4K though.
I haven’t seen the 93 LD. The LDDB said it was high quality though. I can’t confirm if the 98 DVD is the same version.
The 1993 Laserdisc was sourced from the negative, as was the UHD. In terms of image quality, the UHD beats it for sure. Not sure about color though.
As impressive as 4K77 and other 35mm projects are, my preferred way to watch the original Star Wars trilogy is on Laserdisc.
The official upscale is DNR’d into oblivion. Yours is way better.
I’m going to FanExpo in Dallas next month.
Are they also upscales or actual HD scans?
2514 + 2514.

This movie is trash
This.
Finally watched The Batman. I liked it. I didn’t like it as the Tim Burton films or The Animated Series though.
To answer your questions, scans of release prints can be native 4K. HDR is possible if the scan is done at 16-Bit. Other scans in this site have varying costs, but are usually hundreds of dollars. eBay has a lot of 35mm prints for sale. If you get funding from other members, you would be able to finance this project.
Does the print have Ukrainian opening credits?
Watched all of The Owl House in preparation for the finale, which I then watched.
No. That’s always how I do it. Except sometimes I do minor addition correction to contrast or brightness afterwards to look more appealing.
It’s in the color management tab. Select to convert from Rec2020 to Rec709 after selecting ACES.
HDR to SDR conversion can be done in DaVinci Resolve, which is how I do it.
