I have to agree that The Dark Knight Trilogy is definitely overrated. Especially The Dark Knight. It’s still a really good movie but isn’t one of the best of all time.

In my opinion, the 4K version has no real problems with DNR. The previous BD had egregious edge enhancement and DNR. But the 4K removed the edge enhancement and has much finer grain, which could be mistaken for actual DNR.
This is also the case for remastered versions of Scream and Tremors, which had previous Blu-rays with the same problems.

The original Dolby Stereo mix of Batman hasn’t been available on DVD or Blu-ray. The 4K version takes it to the extreme by replacing a lot of the sound design.
