I tried enabling my motherboard’s overclock settings last night as a last ditch effort to lengthen the gaming use for my desktop PC before replacing it …but doing so borked Windows 10.

I was fortunate that, after I reset the relevant BIOS settings, Windows was able to repair itself and startup properly.

That actually is unclear. Apparently, prices are going down, though they’re not as low as they once were. I can still get a decent build on pcpartpicker, though it seems debatable on price vs buying a prebuilt from Amazon.

My wife has been getting into a new PC game called Raft, but my current desktop PC is pretty crap at running it. So I’m looking into finally building a new PC again.

I think I’ll wait until Amazon Prime Day to buy any parts, though.
