What sort of pets do you have?

How many of the posters here have pets, and if so, what have you got?

My girlfriend has a basset hound puppy named Trudy, but since she's in my apartment most of the time I guess she's mine as well. I've also got three rats, named after the Powerpuff Girls (we got three sisters, so we felt it was appropriate).

What've you got then?

I have had to look after inherited caged birds in the past but I would never again.

I think it's a horribly cruel thing.

I've been the pet human of a number of cats over the years but I find it too distressful when they die or get injured and I've also discovered that I am allergic to them (I used to think it was hayfever).

Animals seem to like me though and Chateau Bingowings frequently plays host to a variety of strange critters.

We had Starlings in the roof and there is a rather enormous spider hiding holding court behind our telly box.

My roommate has two cats, and she's never home, so I have two cats.  That I'm slightly allergic to.

A Silky Terrier named Berkeley (my baby).
A barn cat named Buster, though like all cats, we call him "Kitty".
A weimaraner/hound mix named Jack. Dumb as a brick.
A Russian Winter White Dwarf Hamster named Buttons. I'm still not sure why we have this.

None of your spiders have got passports and recently purchased plane tickets to a Scottish airport recently have they?

The chappy behind the telly is rather big.

I stopped having pets after losing my dog. I cried so much that I couldn't handle losing another one, but now that I am older, I have been thinking of getting another dog.

I can't have cats, I am very allergic to them.

I've had fish, but they don't last very long.

I've had a pet hermit crab, and it was so cute.

Never took a picture of it, but this is pretty much what it looked like. I named it Mr. Krabs.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

We haven't yet replaced our dog that died two years ago (black lab mix) but we probably will once the household settles down in the next few years.

I say chappy but generally speaking the larger ones tend to be the ladies in spider world.
