Does anyone here watch Family Guy? They do a ton of SW spoofs!
Time
I totally agree, but it seems they're doing random for ramdom's sake in newer seasons because that's what they're known for doing. I don't see a lot of good stories out of the show lately. Unrelated to SW, my favorite random scene is when Peter says he helps Lois and it cuts to a scene of him doing laundry and missing a sock. He goes in the dryer and Mr. Tumbnus (sp) is like: "hello and welcome to Narnia". My friend and I totally lost it and laughed for a good 5 minutes.

I like to check this thread now and again to see how things are progressing and often learn a thing or two about video formats and the process of restoring something people feel passionate about. Now I see all this senseless bashing and questioning about the merits of ones time? Time is a choice of how one wishes to spend it. Besides, it's not like the 4 doing the restoration process are doing it for themselves, they're willing to share their efforts with the rest of the community, thus leaving something behind. It's no different than those that make custom covers - it's one's passion for a film that inspires them to create something they wish to share of an artisttic merit. Boris, you wouldn't stir the pot if you weren't curious. I'll bet you'll be one of the first to get a copy for comparison. If you're still going to questions the efforts of these people, start a new thread or stay out of the way.

Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader - The Wookie Conundrum
Time

I finished reading Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader (which is quite good btw) and though it may be considered expanded universe, I’m quite certain Lucas views it as Star Wars continuity. This brings the events of the Empire’s invasion of Kashyyk into question. We all know Wookies were enslaved by the Empire; Chewbacca was saved by a young Han who was in the service if I’m not mistaken. Now, what leads me to question, if Wookies were used as slave labour to build the Death Star, would some have remaind after its completion or taken to the second Death Star for completion? Surely the Rebels knew of some of the Wookies involvment in the construction or were they oblivious. If some information was known, I doubt Chewbacca would be so willing to help the destruction of both Death Stars knowing his species were onboard instead of parading with his Ewok cousins. Or were they all returned to Kashyyk after the construction in time for life day? Maybe that’s why Lucas wishes to ignore the Holiday Special as it also ruins continuity. So… am I just a laser brain on this one?

Daredevil - Spence (Released)

I only have the directors cut which to me was better than the theatrical. One thing that bugged me was when Ben Urich looks at the flaming DD symbol and it's not reflected properly in his glasses. They should be reversed as a true reflection should be. I know the director's reasoning, but it's still kind of wierd looking. I'll look forward to seeing this.

Yeah, but won't some people think it's the "hugs and kisses" project? As lame is it sounds, I bet one person might get that impression. Say, since we have the GOUT now and when the XO is done, won't some fans have a masterfully clean version of the trilogy to do other fan projects with (ie, adigitalman's saga edit)? You guys wouldn't hold restrictions on that would you?
