I really like Mara Jade.

I know people who still call anyone who is a Force ghost a "blue glowy".
So my new player is a Pioneer CLD-D504 and I've been wanting to do some caps with digital audio. The digital tracks are outputted through standard rca though. How does this work and is there any large difference in quality over optical/coaxial? I had no idea the digital could even be outputted this way.
I hate this question. I've been asked it so many times and still can never give a definitive answer. Maybe I should finally make a definitive list...gosh it would be long.
I'll try it this weekend!
The whole idiocy of the rescue Han from Jabba beginning of ROTJ was simply George trying to make a serial escapist action packed beginning. As long as Han was rescued it could have very well been anything.
You use the hatch on the top-it opens by splitting down the middle. (At least according to my Kenner TIE..) I guess you would use tubes like mentioned before but there probably would have been an X-wing type ladder if there had ever been the need to show TIE pilots taking off or landing.
These were simply meant to be space cannon fodder. No shields, no advanced weapons, no hyperdrive, no real life support capability and total disregard for the pilots.
No-don't give them ideas!!
I actually saw the movie and a few episodes, but aside from it being decent it really didn't feel like SW.
I started by looking for information on preservations of the 97SE and OOT. Then I found this place. Other forums simply don't have our close knit little band of awesome. The people, diversity, and freedom are what makes this place tick.
And where else in the world can you honestly talk about Star Wars in such nauseating detail? Nowhere. Not even at Lucasfilm, where George probably doesn't even remember anything about our "beloved" GOUT.
Don't take her thin mints.
Just had way too many Peppermints.
Cuyahoga-R.E.M.
Just finished Beatles: Rock Band and was pleasantly surprised how much I actually enjoyed it. Slightly different timing scheme than RB2 though. Grrr.
Hah! I did it.
I gave up on SW novels several years into the Del Rey tenure. It just isn't Star Wars-it's some random other sci-fi book franchise now. Where's the spirit of the Daley books, the energy of Zahn? Even the worst of the Bantam books still remotely felt like they were in the SW universe.
Yes I know-triple post.
The Manchurian Candidate (1962) Blu-Ray. This little best buy exclusive is only 10 bucks. Holy crap-John Frankenheimer is in HD!! Brilliant transfer and simply amazing to see the paranoiac cinematography in 1080p. You start to notice the heavy grain and almost verite type surrealism that was apparent on first viewing. Only downside is that the original mono is not included. Still, the DTS-HD isn't distracting. An absolute must! (Criterion-can we have Seconds now?)

The Matrix.
It was the first time I'd seen the Blu-Ray color timing. And I hate to admit it ... but I like it better.
Really? I was kinda peeved about that change, but I haven't seen the Blu yet.

"The Ipcress File"
"If you're not clean...I'm gonna kill ya!" The only spy film that shows a fight from back behind a phone booth. Haunting moody score. One of my favorite films ever.
Michael Caine with glasses= genius.
This is fantastic!!
So, this 16mm audio would be a fold down of the 80 stereo?
There's not a way to playback dvd-a on pc that I know of. However I did find this tutorial on how to rip and convert with some software:
http://www.computeraudiophile.com/content/How-Rip-DVD-Audio-DVD-Video-Audio-And-HDAD-Discs
The software used does convert to FLAC, but costs about $33. There's a freeware program also mentioned but I'm not sure how well it works.
It seems like it is our only source now. Even George wants to use it as the base of all reference.
What the... :o
Same here ;)
