Didn't Vader put his hands behind him when looking at the Falcon in the DS hangar bay though?

I've never had trouble telling Vader has his hands behind him in that shot. I took it as being deep in thought all these years.

Nope, Ady is correct on position of Vaders hands for continutiy - in ANH he often held unto his belt too ...

http://www.jedi1.net/jedi1.net/images/1600/ANH-Darth_Vader-04592-1600.jpg

the main problem, and here is judging the screencap, is the angle and the way his hands are holding the belt in this shot - so maybe it is just a "delusion of the eye", but it would have been better if the actor had grabbed his belt more like this:

http://www.dailydesigninspiration.com/diverse/3d/jasonmartin/Darth-Vader.jpg

People here like to point out things that should have been corrected ages ago, and not in terms of "whoohoo, new shiny Falcon" or something, we as consumers wanted the best product, we could get at the time - so when one does take the hard job of bringing this classic to it's full glory, every improvement is welcomed ;-)

Maybe some scenes could use a "comment" from one or two Stormies, but an the whole, I would leave them silent, that makes them a quiet, brooding force, that is only unleashed by their "master" Darth Vader ;-)

The only audio issue I got, is to have Boba Fett talking in his original voice - it is kind of strange to hear "Jango", I always liked that raspy old tone, combined with the spur sound (though he obvious got none) to mirror a Eastwood/VanCleef bountyhunter guy ...

@TV's Frink

we are lucky that ol' George isn't at the helm of things anymore ... you would have given him ideas for "special editions" to come ;-)

or even worse: "The Holiday Special Part Deux" !!!

anywho, some minor tweeking, as the "Special Editions" should have been, is always welcome, at least for me, it just shouldn't feel forced ...

though the whole Vader arrival/ Imperial Invasion, I really wish the scene where the Falcon escapes would be a little different - it always looked to me as if the hangar was right behind the field where the rebels assembled for retreat, and that would be kind of strange, thinking that Vader and his troops should infiltrate the base from the "backdoor" ...?

I would suggest a more grand overview of the battlefield, maybe the Falcon flying over the destroyed hills, only then rising up into the orbit - so that the assembly point is more far off, about some kilometers from the base

I think ImperialFighter sums it up perfectly, there are about three possible ways one could lay out the scene/sequence - depending on your preferred point of view ;-)

@Ronster: I made a collage of different shots, though some details seems different, it is always the same ship ...

One could introduce SD or other grand scale battle ships as last evolution of the Clone Wars - so before there where just smaller capital ships, like the size of the blockade runner, which isn't that large ...

On the other hand, technology doesn't need to be consistently improving, in history there where times of progress and then again "dark times" where all the advancement was washed away

I think it would help if the supposed Executor bridge is much darker, maybe a little out of focus, add blurr, because it is too sharp and with that short comparison of a standard Destroyer, it seems they are both same size, even if they should be different ...

like aalenfae (and others) said, mirroring the bridge shot could support the view that the ship is the Executor

The Old Republic lacking captital ships ?

I think that doesn't work with the "history" - there were wars before "the galactic civil war" - and some had bigger fleets than the Empire, but that is EU ...

The Rebels/Alliance had no such rich, massive resources as the Empire has - they got all the major players, that build equipment for the Republic too

and our "fighters for freedom" use all means, speaking of old used gear, what they can find and get hands on - only later in the conflict groups with money and connections, join the "good cause" and better weapons are build.

So keep the good stuf, but try to give them visual unique style, so we can for one say it is Repulic and secondly a "protoype" for later Imperial vehicles - "Dreadnaughts" anyone ?

funny sidenote on the " two towers" (pun intended!):

the SSD(Vader's Star Destroyer) Executer, had not always that misleading tower:

http://imageshack.us/a/img407/7716/conceptarts.png

another point of interest is, that there was a lightsource to be seen onscreen:

http://starwars.rossiters.com/images/esb-054-01_640.jpg

wish I had the complete storyboards, there are some really nice shots:

http://theswca.com/index.php?action=disp_item&item_id=47594

ok, so we agree that it's a "point of view" - new question, because I stumbled upon it while I searched for pics of SD, bridges and towers ;-)

Ady, you corrected all SD engines in ANH, so that while in real/subspace there are only those big 3 are burning (the 4 little are for Hyperdrive), will all SD engines be correct in ESB too - and more important, while this is incorrect in the original: are you repairing the "all-on lights" in ROTJ ?

Ok, for my part I can live with a blue SD bridge, standing substitute for the Executor (though many little other things are off - eg: direction)

But "Inverse" I always thought how small those generator shields (aka spheres) are - for a SSD that is couple of times larger than a normal SD, it should have either 4 globes or larger spheres for a wider range of the energy shields!

just my 2 cents ;-)

The problem that leads to the misconception is that the bridge doesn't look BIGGER - if the shield generators for example would be empasized then you could be lead to think: Hey, that is weird for a SD - but the bridge (apart from it's coloring) doesn't stand off against the rest of the fleet - until we see that huge shadow - then at last we realise that we see the BIG shark in the pond!

So correcting the color is one thing, and maybe it helps many viewers, but the rest of us would have needed a different type of bridge to establish the "shark fin" approach - am I correct ?

Many THX for clearing up the SD/SSD shot - it bothered me in recent versions, that the group is somewhat broken up or gone missing

On the Vader helmet: ok I got this old comparison, maybe other things aren't spot on either, it just felt weird, that from one shot to another the reflection is moving, without Vader doing something (in the original version he walked some steps from right to left)

So my bad, after a long wait the mind plays tricks on you ;-)

As many have stated above, I too thought for some reason, that we follow one of the SD, only later to be overshadowed by the SSD.

But aside from coloring issues, I have got two "continuity errors", maybe they are already "repaired" or as Adywan stated:

"Now, in the past, there was mention (not sure if it was here) about how the ships are placed in the opening shot compared to when we see them later and that it is a continuity error. Well, it isn't ."

So please clear these for me:

the first is the group of SD which are meeting/ "flying under" the Executor

http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y480/brimforge/fanedits/SSD_zps0f4d96d4.jpg

ok, one is seen (maybe it should be darker?) but what about the other two - mabye one is "behind" the SSD, but the other should be also seen to the right side

http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y480/brimforge/fanedits/executor_zpsb289cf2d.jpg

the other thing that bugs me, and I only caught it because I searched for the other "bug", is the scene where Vader is looking out the window:

http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y480/brimforge/fanedits/Vader_zpscfc38e31.jpg

you nicely mirrored part of that shot, but the light/reflection on Vader's helmet isn't on the right side ...

Good to have you back!

I got a friend suffering from depression, it is not an easy thing to live with, but with professional help, and a goal to focus on, every day should be worth living ...

sorry can't provide help for the animations - I am trying to build a decent computer for cutting movies for some time - and hoping it will come together this year ;-)

But I will keep an eye on this thread and try to throw in some ideas from time to time ...

I haven't researched it, but in light of Mark Hamills accident at the filming of "Empire", he had plastic surgery I believe and therefore the wampa attack scene was made ?

or was it always in the draft/script as a plot point ?

Always wondered how the story would have gone, if Hamill didn't crash, and the wampa(s) were just a later sidenote, not a starting scene ...

ok found those "deedit" tools - but they are really called "DEdit" tools:

http://www.ldso.net/tronwiki/doku.php?id=wiki:article:tronfaq:editing:tool:dedit#.UY-RXUqQhc1

last time I found these map editors (and they can extract REZ files too):

http://tronfaq.blogspot.co.at/2006/02/all-tron-20-files-in-one-place.html#.UY-PLUqQhc0

I will do some research in that forum, maybe it could help with "Evolution" too ...

Ok, now I seen half of the season, and some points worry me:

- what will become of Beck ?

- how does "Rinzler" fit in ?

I hope they won't rewrite the events that are "Legacy" - because I read the comic, that leads directly into the movie, and some things from "Uprising" aren't there ...

well, some years counting:
