Seeing the canyon started makes you wonder if the hanger miniature and Han in carbonite are now "signed off" complete.

Anyway it's good to see things getting close to very end of the listed changes miniatures... Wondering about the surprises too.

don't forget the Dagobah swamp trees ;-)

with so much details added, ESB:R is the new vision of the "special edition"!

thanks 005 for clearing that up, I never had laserdisc, starting collecting movies on VHS in the early 90' and then jumping straight to DVD for many reasons ;-)

I thought that maybe there was some sort of bonus track or disc. like we have today, so maybe if I get another chance at getting laserdisc cheap, I will collect it, but only for personal interest then ...

and yeah, it is strange that laserdiscs aren't "big" CD/DVDs *g*

There is no need to suspect. It used to be written in SW.com that she is talking about Padmé. Since the website's been redone the page isn't available anymore but it was there.

Wouldn't surprise me to hear that GL changed his mind about this though. That's one of the few things he's very good at.

yeah, it's very frustrating that he changed the "canon" through the years ...

and it also caused the downfall of LucasArts - for his interfering and changing of mind (plus many other problems, he laid the bricks) :-(

so thinking about the whole "Wampa affair" - will Ady insert the two scenes in the Echo base, the one where C3PO rips the sign and then the Snowtroopers get eaten by the Wampa ?

and/or (some of) the Wampa attack on the rebels ?

found an interesting concept art made by McQuarrie:

@ray

I just think that some "problems" are beginning in the OT, see it as you will, but it is in these cases easier to "repair" the thing in the OT and accept the mess in the PT ...

wanted only to adress the question from "randomposter" ;-)

and now back on topic (and no more of the other crap *g*)

@Bingowings

well I had the impression that the Executor would be about 10x the size of an standard Stardestroyer, bringing it to somewhat 16km

but in the end it just needs to be "huge" ;-)

as for the "Leia's mother / Padme"-Paradox: it all stands and falls with Luke's question "do you remember your <real> mother?"

if one would cut that out, it just states as to why her foster-mother was sad => because she knew what happened to her <real> mother ...

sorry to interupt here ;-)

but I found an intersting read, that could nicely fit both for ESB and ROTJ:

http://starwarsblog.starwars.com/index.php/2013/10/09/star-wars-mysteries-exacting-executor-measurements/

I always wondered HOW big the "Executor" really was, after seeing it crash into the second Deathstar ...

yes, maybe the "rescue" of Palpatine should have been in the middle, or even in the last part of Episode 3 ...

the real challenge is "the rise and fall" of Anakin Skywalker - it's a shame, that Lucas didn't make Obi-Wan the main character and let the story circle aound him ... showing "good intensions leading to bad things"

I'm glad to hear that Ady will be taking out the Battle of the Heroes music from ANH. The main problem was that it doesn't in any way fit the musical style of ANH. However, I wouldn't mind that duel to be scored in SOME way. But that's just personal preference.

I would like that too, something along the idea of "Duel of the Minds" - "Fate" lies with Luke at this moment ;-)

And yes, today many soundtracks are very generic, as Hollywood casts movies out of one mold, does same with the music - cue "action scene" / "love scene", or every other "item" ...

I think it could work both ways, as told in the Marvel comics, to bridge the years between Episode 4 and 5, aka "Vaders Search"

Or it could be that Vader soon after the Battle of Yavin found out (through interrogating rebel soldiers) who that mysterious pilot was, keeping the "info" for himself ...

in the end, the Emperor only recently came to the conclusion, that "the son of Skywalker" would become either a threat or his new apprentice ;-)

one idea could really make sense "inverse", that distracted pilots get hit by asteriods more likely (and they do, as they try to slow down/ stop the Falcon)

so yes, maybe one or two "crazy" pilots could fire some shots and pay the price for being fools ;-)

the "one minute gap" should at least be bridged with offscreen laser shots (the slight shakes could be ignored, because we are inside the "body" and not in the cockpit - and it makes the impact with the asteroids more meaningful)
