My favourites are that shot of Luke training on the Falcon and the replaced dunes for Threepio :)

I don't think any editor worth his salt would leave the part where Jar Jar singlehandedly gets Palpatine more power. I'm just talking about the start of the movie, where Obi Wan and Anakin meet Padme again. It's hard to believe they'd just say nothing to Jar Jar the whole time :p
As long as the alien dialogue for Jar Jar is actually voiced, not just a reversed and garbled alternate language track, it should work fine.
However it's very easy to remove Jar Jar's dialogue entirely if you so choose, though this could be seen as a cop out considering his (unfortunately) prominent role in the first film.
EDIT: Woohoo, 100 pages! :D
Holy shit, this is amazing. I love how you've added that sound (though where is it from?)
I'm in love with the "floating" chairs. The old versions looks too grounded in our reality. Like they'd just been bought in Ikea prior to shooting. Awesome work, Angel! :D
Also, they're not necessarily "floating". The supports could easily be underneath the table in shadow. It just makes them seem more futuristic that they're not reliant on our conventional and primitive support methods :)

Like the clone voice much better!
Mine or the original?
One thing I will say about your last video, The Cutter. If you do intend to keep the changeling bit in there, you need to shorten the fade.
At the moment, because of it fading into the original "she" it sounds like he's saying "shangeling".
I love how grey the Deathstar is now and how sallow-skinned Tarkin is. He looks truly evil now. :D
Also, the alterations are awesome ;)
Here's an example of changing the trooper voices to feel more OT (whether I keep this part in my edit or not)

I always felt the New Zealand accents were strange in the Star Wars universe. They've never sat right with me.

What Bob is doing with the lighting is an ideal way to reveal this transformation.

I get what you're saying, as I previously stated. And I know you're doing your best. But just saying "Well the original has worse cuts!" does not make your cuts better. Maybe because I edit things myself, I'm seeing things more than others here, but I know there are other editors here, too, so I don't know... maybe if I could make a video pointing things out in this scene of yours like you've done, I could explain it better.
The prequels are so full of horrible crap that you've either got to compromise and leave some of it in even though you hate it, or go all out and cut it all and try to do the best you can with what you have left. The latter is my philosophy in my editing, and I applaud The Cutter for having the same stance. His is a vast improvement even though it may not (and can't possibly, with the footage available) be perfect, and any improvements you might recommend would probably compromise his philosophy by adding horrible stuff back in.
The editing in that sequence is fine. No problem at all with it IMO.
I loved the fast paced cuts myself, though I can see what rpvee means somewhat. It seems to jump forward in time too much at certain points during the Mace/Palps duel. Almost like a montage. I'm sure some creative editing, taking note of stances and saber positions could make it flow more seamlessly.
Loved what you've done with the music and sound!
Isn't it in TESB, widely regarded as the best of the trilogy, we hear a protocol droid saying "etchuda"? ;)

That's awesome, Brash Stryker!
With that curt tone to his voice, I imagine he's saying something like "What do you mean flying in so low? Don't you know that disrupts these evaporators? Do you think I like baking my circuits out here all day? What do you want? Your mother? Let's see if master knows what you're talking about."
I don't know. Something grumpy like that.
That's exactly the kind of attitude I'm intending for him, but I hadn't bothered writing the dialogue yet. Your example may very well be what I'm looking for :-)
Anyway, I'm highjacking Trooperman's thread. Feel free to drop by mine to discuss further.
True.
R2: Beep boop beep
Padme: R2? What are you doing here?

To remove 3p0 from the story, all we need to do visually is remove him from the interior space ship shots as Anakin and Padme decide to rescue Kenobi.
After that, I think we can cut around his shots entirely. As far as I recall, we only see him again on the same space ship telling R2 that he won't be going out to help save Anakin.
If we re-dub the grey, sun-baked protocol droid at Owen's farm with a robotic voice that is clearly NOT Anthony Daniels then he can simply be one of the droids on the farm. He can be at the funeral and even say the line, "He's carrying a message from an Obi Wan Kenobi. Does that name mean anything to you?" It may work better coming from a different voice anyway.
Just saying. Not a big deal because TM has already made 3p0 so small in the movie that he almost causes no pain. The biggest problem he poses in SOTDS is in attempting to un-do the idea that Anakin built 3p0. If we eliminate 3p0 altogether, it also makes this ambition possible. A new TPM edit could be done which eliminates 3p0 from that movie too. Hmm.
Have you seen the latest video from my edit? That's exactly what I've done, though it's not subtitled yet:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecFqCjOuncI
And in regards to seeing him on the ship, it's easy to cut him out from him relaying the message from R2 onwards.
The only problem with removing him from the funeral is we have no way of relaying what R2 is saying to them about Obi Wan's transmission.
Uber awesome! :D
I'll call on you when I need to achieve the same (after colour correction and what-not)
Love it, Mrbenja ;)
Well I'm glad you posted it as it had previously passed me by. Favourited :)
Ady must feel like he's on Big Brother. lol.
PM sent. Thanks ben_danger =)
Not sure what you mean Angel. I thought it matched perfectly.
Also, reply to my last PM! :-p
I guess we won't know until it's released some time in October. With the amount of sounds there are, it would be a real shame if they were of poor quality.
