At the end of the day, this is a forum for discussion...people are allowed to vent their frustration about the suppression of the OOT if they want to. Obviously the final say is with George, but we can express our dissatisfaction if we want...
I'm also a realist, and if George Lucas is as much of a cold, calculating businessman as he seems, I imagine he'll release the UOT in a few years on Bluray to cash in on both those that demand the originals and those die-hard fans that will buy anything with 'Star Wars' written on it. The same as the GOUT.
Whether it'll be Blu-Ray quality though remains to be seen.
So I guess you and your mates were a real life Rebel Alliance of sorts ;-)

This is so damn stupid. Shitty SE versions only, mostly identical special features and AWFUL cover art. There is nothing to like except the deleted scenes (which will probably disappoint), yet people will still buy it in droves.
The funny video that most stood out for me from SSWR was that 'Human Cyborg Relations' one where all Anakin's lines were replaced with Threepio ones.
Almost pissed myself seeing Anakin run at Dooku going "Oh, a battle!"
Still don't understand why he'd take them all down. I always used to refer to his videos while working on my edit. :-(

I think it'd be a real shame if the highest quality release was denied a professional menu. Is there a way of reusing a menu from a DVD for authoring a Blu Ray in conjunction with the mkv?

I assume you meant the "selfish ungrateful babies" comment which is more a description of the attitudes than "namecalling". Though how that would cause my point to lose its validity and make you no longer agree with me at that point...I have no idea.
Christ! I have neither a Blu Ray player or a burner and don't plan on buying either for some time, but I still want him to release it in Blu Ray format rather than one of inferior capacity, and therefore quality!
I'm more than happy to view the disk image on my PC until I get around to buying a player or burner (if I haven't by then) and as others have said, you can shrink it to DVD or AVCHD in the meantime yourselves.
It's the new standard. We're all gonna have these players in our homes eventually. Those who are objecting just because they have to spend longer downloading it or that it'll take up more space on their computers are just being selfish, ungrateful babies. And telling him to release multiple versions is just putting the burden of space/internet bandwidth on him instead of those that'll download it.

I'm in the UK and mine downloaded ok, if that helps. I obv had that little blip with part 21 being missing first time, but other than that, no problems. Wish I could be of more help than that.
What I meant was that you can't copy them all as a list =) Instead you have to right click and copy each link individually.
I got it downloaded last night, but watching it tonight it stopped at around the 3/4 mark. I looked into it and part 21 was missing from my downloads folder for some reason. Strange that the DVD still unrared and worked (somewhat) with a part missing.
I've since downloaded the missing part so will unrar it again. Too tired now though :)
^What the old man said. However, the links I got from Spence weren't urls but clickable descriptions, so not pastable into jdownloader as a list that you can parse.

Well seeing as I specifically bought a Mac for my editing, I don't think I'll be doing that :-p
This makes me wish Ady was a Final Cut person so I could ask him for that kind of help. :-p
