I listen to the forcecast every week and all of the shows great star wars podcast.
Ugh, Shut up and Fuck off.
I so wish there was a 'like' button for this.
WE KNOW!
What we can do is continue to be angry about it, and what you can do (and I understand that this could come across as hypocrisy here) is change the damn record!

If you guys think I am a troll fine that's your opinion.
I don't think you're a troll. That would actually mean you were just obnoxious, not mind bogglingly stupid. Sucks for you.
If only that came across on screen.....he was portrayed as evil from the start.......
I think Ady has already confirmed he won't be using any of the deleted scenes for ESB:R. As far as ROTJ is concerned, that remains to be seen. I don't know if they're even of sufficient quality to be integrated.....the prequel ones certainly aren't

Boy, is that comparing apples to chairs. We're not talking about an author releasing a new book that has questionable content. This isn't a book we haven't read before.
A more apt comparison would be the original pubication of The Hobbit. Once Tolkien wrote Lord of the Rings, he realised that the Gollum scene undermined what Smeagol was all about in the saga, so he 'revisited' it, altering the scene so that Bilbo escapes Gollum under different circumstances.
Of course, it's not a great comparison, really, because that was a change the fans could live with, and actually improved upon the characterisations and forming a cohesive whole with the other books. The changes in these Blu Ray don't do anything but undermine existing emotional tones and piss people off.

The prequel deleted scenes, well i feel sorry for the prequel fans who wanted to see these, because they are a waste of time. The quality looks like they were ripped from youtube when it first started. There are a couple that the quality improves at times, but the majority look like crap.
What's the quality like on the 'lost 20' scene? I just read on star wars aficionado that it's included and wondered if it's good enough to insert into an edit.
As a prequel fan editor, I am absolutely appalled by this news that not only have they not included any true deleted scenes, but also haven't even included those from the damn dvd. What the hell?! I will never buy this even when it's down to £3 and Blu Ray is a defunct format. Lucas can suck my balls.
Are we still getting updates here? I don't want them to have jumped solely to fanedit.org :-(
Definitely no to the hyperspace jump. Unnecessary and because it's so quick coupled with the wipe, we barely get a chance to register it. Nice idea though.

I seriously feel raped.
My defense of people's outrage stops right there. Can we PLEASE retire this phrase?
I agree. Rape is no laughing matter. Unless you're raping a clown ;-)

I'm pretty sure this is from Family Guy's Blue Harvest, when the Tusken Raider jumps out in front of Luke.
Nope....it was in the 'sounds of star wars' book (with sound module), which means it's pretty much a confirmed change.
That has got to be a fake... It's the ROTS "nooooo" pitched down and sped up, surely.......
Then again, I can also imagine Lucasfilm reusing the same sound just to avoid paying James Earl Jones again.....crap.
That's great news! Saves Ady having to build them himself. The more talented people like that he can get on board, the better :-D
Glad to see this project is still going. Got to say I prefer non-red sabers for rogue (but still good) Jedi but we've discussed this plenty before. :-)
Call me blind, but where in the video can I see this 3-eyed lizard?
Everything looks so amazing. Luke's Saber is now blue rather than aquamarine.
Didn't really want to offer my sympathies until the news came from Ady himself on this forum, as I don't think it's people's place to broadcast a personal loss somewhere other than where he initially posted it (for his FB friends to see) but stay strong, mate and I hope things go as smoothly as a send-off of a loved one can go.
Personally I think yours and Bob's edits should merge. Yours works on a musical/thematic level and his works visually :) But I like the music change.
That screen is an awesome way of visually OTizing the PT!
Maybe if he's very generous and knows his stuff, he could create a scripted program that does all those steps you mentioned automated, much like that Star Wars TSG Crawl generator. ;-)
Absolutely fantastic news about the 3DSMax crawls. Maybe after you're done, you could create a template so other can follow suit with their own edits. Consistency between episodes is very important to me. I've never found a preset/template that looks right for After Effects or that Star Wars TSG Crawl generator for Mac. Man, the revisited saga just keeps getting better and better.
I'm going to have to put a stop to PMing links for the timebeing as I'd really rather provide the links once everything is assembled and the archive completed. Sorry for the inconvenience. The archive isn't dead, just taking a lot longer as there are thousands and thousands to go through (many duplicates) and it's difficult to settle on a handful of sounds to represent the best of a certain type.
Also I have been very busy with other things and have not had access to the computer in question for some time.

^This. Well put.
