Have you considered the Japanese SC? It's pre DVNR, and IMO has a more faithful colour representation.

I'm starting to think the SC Collection may be a better option to clean up rather than the GOUT. The DVNR on that is a real killer.

As much as I'd like to say 'You're right, that does sound stupid', I'm not gonna. No it's just not possible, but at the price of todays DVD burners it's not hard to justify shelling out a few bucks for the benefit of having one.

I believe it all has to do with the laser width, a DVD laser is 650nm and a CD is a whopping 780nm, so no, not exactly possible.

I think that's pretty damn good actually, but I wouldn't mind seeing a few selected scenes considered to be some of the worst i.e: the stormtroopers finding the O Ring by the escape pod, R2 in the canyon and the landspeeder entering Mos Eisley. I think they all suffered terribly from the DVNR process.

Why should the running time have any bearing on whether the edit is good or not? ADM reinserted several deleted scenes back into his edits.
