If someone somehow got hold of this 1983 Japanese LD and ripped the audio, that would be the ideal copy of the original stereo mix. I know Neil S. Bulk has a copy that was ripped from a time-compressed LD and then decreased in speed; however, even this has yet to surface in a project.

I'm glad I am right
Does anyone know how to read japanese?
I found some used laserdisc stores that have the product code (FY570-35MA) at least I think they are stores, but I have no clue
store1?
store2?

Yes- only that wasn't the only change that was made. He added some new stereo sound effects and fudged the sound in other small ways as well (not nearly as noticeably as he did to the '93 mix, though).
Any LD made before 1985 would have this mix on it, although the speed would need to be decreased for inclusion in a project (the 1st LD's were time-compressed). I would love to see this mix coupled with either/or the '87 widescreen LD's or the 93/95 LD's for the picture.

I thought there was a japanese one that wasn't time compressed, but I could be wrong.

I'm watching the dual layer NTSC disc on my 28" widescreen right now and you can really see where those extra bits went, the picture far outshines the single layer version DVDShrink did of it.

No problem, looking forward to your transfer
I've heard that ritek often have bad degradation though, and I don't think that their dual layer compares to other media.
btw that forum rocks the people there are really helpful

How about a second version?

Weapon you could easily do this even without any expensive paint programs.
Open up ms paint, select the text and symbols and then use invert color. After this fill in the rest of the white with black.
You then may have to do a little clean up incase some "white" wasn't actually white.
should take around 5 minutes a cover

Sweet Covers, and Congratulations. Just FYI the ANH cover still has errors on the back text (ie a small cell of Rebel spies *has* stolen...)even though I don't think the one you just posted is not the most up to date one because you posted a different one earlier
If you post your most up to date text I would be happy to go over it for you and try to correct errors and make it more smooth as English is only your second language. Don't feel bad, I know French as a second language and if I tried to make covers in French my errors would probably be a lot worse.

It's funny, I like the logo better then w/o it. It makes Star Wars stick out more, as I feel it should in any series (OOT, prequels, clones wars, etc.). I was even going to suggest making the Star Wars logo a bit bigger, but of course they're your covers so you do what you want with them.

As for the Menace logo, the ones that Hotrod linked to I think would work better. At least I now know where that one came from. Very nice job though.
Yeah I like the placement of the words in that logo better, so I will probably make a new one similar to that, thanks for the link Hotrod, I don't think I've seen those covers before (Although I probably have).
Also putting star wars logos on the top shouldn't take that long at all

@yanksno1 Yeah I would have liked if there was an Official Phantom Menace Logo without episode on it to match the others, but I couldn't find one so I used one that seems to match the Star Wars logo in terms of fonts, The AotC one matches ESB, RotS match RotJ, I figured that TPM should match SW, it was made by Chainsawash
I also made a cover with the star wars logo on it

It look pretty good, but I think I will stick with no logo on top, I could make and email you ones with the logos though if you like it better or you could put them on yourself easily
I think I am almost finished, but I would like to print them out and check them first
Everyone, thanks for the compliments and more suggestions welcome

I thought that the clones logo I used was sort of the "semi-official one" I found it on a lot of stuff

I found the other logo on this thread:
http://www.originaltrilogy.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=9&threadid=2102&highlight_key=y&keyword1=tim
I don't think there ever was any logo besides ones that included episode 1 in them, if there is please notify me
Also by the top do you mean at the top of the back cover, side or both?
Thanks for the comments

Thank you for the compliment, I assume you mean something like this

I don't know, I think I like the full image better, but thanks for the suggestions, they do look a little off, I'll try to think of something.
