Here are most of the posters I have, you already probably have most of them though.

EDIT: I also think that Rikter is going to put up a torrent with dvd covers and also poster art, but I could be wrong.

The Last Of The Mohicans NTSC (Original Version) (Released)
Time
The PAL transfer is a very good one; especially in the dark scenes. I used a tool called Besweet to modify the length of to sound to NTSC timing. I was worried the pitch was also adjusted when the sound was changed to PAL; but no pitch adjustments were made so it was a simple time conversion. No more high pitch voice or music. By the way, does anyone know what font is used in the movie's main title? I can't seem to find out what it is.

Sounds good, looking forward to getting my hand on the dual-layer one sometime. I don't know what font was used but I'll try to find out when I have more time. A combination of felix tilting and footlight MT light is close.

The VHS and Laserdisc released here in the states was completely different than the theatrical version. The overall story was the same as the theatrical version but the theatrical version had a few things that the VHS and Laserdisc were missing. The scene where Hawkeye shoots Maj. Duncan Heyward when he is on the fire was a bit longer. You got to see the bullet hole in his head. The DVD version is only a few frames shorter than the VHS and Laserdisc but those were even shorter than the Theatrical Version. The end battle on the cliff side was gorier and a bit longer and in the theatrical version we actually get to see Magua eat Col. Edmund Munro's heart! It was good stuff. Mostly it was gore that was cut from the US home video releases and nothing major. But I have yet to see that version on ANY US home video release.

If you watch any US home video version of this film you can see some of the jump cuts. Especially during the end cliff battle between Chingachgook and Magua.

Interesting. Neither of the two versions I have show Magua eating Munro's heart. Are you getting this information from a website, or do you remember this from viewing the movie in a theater? I would love to see Magua chowing down on a heart, however sick it sounds. Anybody else know anything about this?

EDIT: I found the found using this cool site Whatthefont. It is shango-regular (or some varieent). The font they used for the movie menus is different though. Maybe I'll take some screenshots of the menus and find those later.

If you are going off of the original VHS and laserdisc as being the theatrical cut then you are way off. The theatrical version was so far different from the version that was put out on VHS and Laserdisc it was insane. I have yet to see the theatrical version released anywhere.

So which one is this again?

I'm pretty sure that the theatrical cut is the same as the vhs and lasedisc one.

I would really love to see a fan edit of this movie, not just a theatrical or directors cut, but something to turn this mess into a good movie. Daniel Day Lewis was great in this and I think he deserves a better cut. Of course I know this thread is not about re-editing the movie at all, still that one would be on my wish list.

"mess?" this movie is awesome , I would love to see an edit though. Not much extra footage to work with though, unless somebody gets their hands on a copy of the workprint, which I would also love to see.

I got my region 4 disc, i'm pretty sure it doesn't have any censorship. The transfer is pretty bad though. During the end battle sequence there are waves/scratches? right in the middle of the picture.
Does anybody have the region 4 ntsc one. I am wondering if it has the same transfer, or maybe a better one. Thanks.

Also MIV, I am still interested in your NTSC conversion, because it will probabably be better than at least this one, hopefully it was a different transfer.
I am wondering what you did when converting the sound speed. Thanks

Speaking of faces, are there any covers that use the backcovers of the vhs tapes. Or any scans of the backs of the vhs faces tapes. I love the photos of Obi Wan, Leia and Luke & Leia with the headlines A long time ago... , the battle continues and the empire falls.

I was going to make a faces prequel set (I was thinking Maul, clonetrooper, Obiwan to match the OT's vader, stormtrooper, yoda), but I figured that getting high res pics of the faces would be too hard.

The Last Of The Mohicans NTSC (Original Version) aka (Theatrical Version) or (International Version)

I have converted the European PAL Version to proper NTSC, which comes out to be the correct (?) 112min. Actually made two versions - single and dual layer. Both have anamorphic video; the single-layer version (~4.2GB) has DD2.0 sound while the dual-layer (~7.2GB)has DD5.1. Also includes new menus, trailer and music-only track. I already emailed Rikter about getting this to him. Hopefully I can get this to Segaflip so that he can do his usual thing with it on the newsgroups. I'll try to get a screenshot of the menu up soon. AND maybe eventually I'll try to do an edit that incorporates some of the best additions(?) of the expanded edition into the original.

The NTSC theatrical version is available from both region 4 (brazil) as digitalfreaknyc stated in another thread and also region 3 (korea). I should be receiving a region 3 one soon, hopefully the koreans didn't censor anything, I'll let people know when I get this, it was significantly cheaper than importing a region 4 would have been. That would be sweet though if you put all of the footage together without deleting some of the original footage as the director's cut did.
Now what would be really sweet if somebody got their hands on this (info from imdb)

The film was originally scheduled for a Summer 1992 release, as the teaser posters said, but when Michael Mann's first version clocked in at three hours, he was told by Fox to cut the film down and the release was postponed to September. Mann was never happy with the resulting two hour version, feeling he had not had enough time to properly trim it, and so Fox allowed him to re-edit it entirely for the 1999 DVD release. Although only a few minutes longer, the new version features minor changes throughout the film. It is Mann's preferred version and the only one available on DVD in the US.

I've done the same with the ESB DVD and believe that to be very close to completion. I'll just post here a sample of one of the chapter selection menus.

Looking good, one thing I thing I noticed was that the ANH menus had roman numerals for the chapters, but ESB had no labels. You might want to make them match, but it isn't a big deal.

Wanted: Last of the Mohicans Theatrical
Time
After googling some, I found out that there is a R3 ntsc one, so we probably won't have to do any ld captures
It may be censored a little bit though, so I am going to try and pickit up and compare it to the R2 one.
That one isn't censored at all is it?
Anybody know? That movie is pretty violent, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

I don't know what is up with the length, ldd says one ld is 110 min long, the other 113 min.
the R3 says it is 113, but the runtime is 112 min from imdb and 114 min from other sources.

Yeah I know, I like my movies at regular speed.

Do you know if the vcd is pal or ntsc, because I could just easily rip the audio off of that and add the pal picture.

EDIT: Or is anyone with a laserdisc player willing to nab the sound for me, I could get the discs

So, in the spirit of this thing, can anyone hook a brother up with the 'Phantom Menace Expanded Score - The Ultimate Edition?'

Thanks - I have nothing revolutionary to trade, just pretty much every Williams/Spielberg score if anyone needs one. 'Raiders,' particularly is good.

That soundtrack can still be bought from many stores online, I am planning to pick one up pretty soon.

On another note, I know that the AOTC cd from target had a bonus song on it, does anyone know whether the ones target is selling now still have this bonus song on it, thanks.

The trailer is the same I have, but thanks for the help!

BTW, I've never played the "Mysteries of the Sith" add-on: is there any cut-scenes in it?

sounds good, but isn't there going to be a lot of empty space on the dvds then?
There are cut scenes, but they aren't real movies, they just use the in game graphics and are pretty crappy.

I'd prefer to put bonuses that have more relation with the project. Thoses parodies are cool, but not enough "Jedi Knight-related", I think...

This project sounds cool, I would help you but I won't be going home to my computer with my saved games until december.
You could include the original darkforces cut scenes on the disc as an extra, gotta love the crappy computer animation

maybe add this trailer, but it is low resolution: trailer
