The Vaultbreakers Collection - Disney Preservations
Time

A remark made by Robert Harris around the time of Fantasia's rerelase claims that Disney is well aware of their work not being representative of the original intent of the animators/directors/etc and that they are in fact creating these "updates" (new color pallets, etc) as well as restoring the original work elsewhere.  At least, that's what I got out of it.

Help: looking for... William Dozier's Batman/Green Hornet
Time

I didn't know that the TV Land rips had time cuts... :( shame, they were fairly good quality.

The Hub aired the series in full, with your average "cut the credits for an advertisement" thing that everyone does now.  They have an HD channel but I do not get that so I didn't cap them.  Did anyone?  That might be the best plausible source, assuming someone could just splice the credits in from a lower quality version.

Indy Blu-rays announced
Time

I'm not banking on there being the original sound mixes - this is a Lucasfilm movie series, after all - but the more recent HDTV rips actually look stunning.  I'm curious to see how the Blus will step up that quality.

And we know there won't be any tinkering, these are Spielberg's movies too... hell, he might actually be crazy enough to re-add the reflection in the snake pit.

Random Thoughts
Time

That's it.  I just saw some old pictures of me from 5-6 years ago.  I'm getting into shape.  I don't know how I'm going to go about this, but I must.  I actually wasn't fat then!  Of course, I never would have believed that if you had told me.  But seeing that and comparing myself to now just makes me think it has to be done.

'SW & False Flag Terror' Fan Documentary
Time

As it stands the original version is an interesting deconstruction of the political side of the PT.  The plot actually seems smart and thought-provoking when explained from this angle... hmm, I wonder how the prequels would have gone if it followed Palpatine exclusively?

If you're not entirely sold on keeping it near-identical to the original video I would recommend adding some more comparisons to said kind of terrorism as it has appeared in real life.  A little bit of elaboration on the history of False Flag terrorism a tiny bit here and there would really help; even just little tidbits of real-life examples that directly relate to the element of false flag terrorsim being discussed at the moment scattered throughout might be good.  At certain points, it feels a little like plot summary.

Also, if the original video really WAS made in Movie Maker, I'm really impressed.  I know firsthand how limiting it can be.

Featurette on main site?
Time

"There's a site, too?"  Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if a fair amount of people actually forgot that.  I practically did myself.

Since my "redesign" thread failed miserably, I was hoping maybe this specific idea might go through.  I think the main site should have featurettes, similar to Save Star Wars.  A FAQ or anything, really.

However, more specifically, I was thinking featurettes on some of our community's fan preservation efforts.  Something like what the remnants of fanedits.com looks like, only consolidated into Star Wars preservations.  It might give some credibility to the main site in showing that, yes, we have done more than endless bitching in an attempt to improve our situation with the movies.  Yes, said information is readily available here on the forums, but I feel like it's important to add to the main site.  Thoughts?

Forgive me if I'm being inarticulate or unreasonable.
