To be honest, I always liked Never Say Never Again,
Paging captainsolo to the thread... paging captainsolo to the thread...
Welcome to the forum! This is a bit more of an elaborate first-post request than most people who are here looking for things give. The straight OT "restoration" is Harmy's Despecialized Edition which it seems you are aware of. He's working on v2, which is a stellar improvement - if you want to see Harmy's efforts, i'd wait for it over watching v1. V1's for for ESB and ROTJ are also available (I believe on Demonoid), but I'll let you search for those yourself. This thread details something that might be more along the lines of what you're looking for. Omen's not quite done with those. Harmy also did an earlier effort he called the "Partly Despecialized"edition, which removed the most grievous of SE changes. He did the new color timings on those himself but the fixes he's done were in no way even close to the level of skill he's been putting into the true Despecialized editions. I'm not sure if the RapidShare links are still available for Partly Despecialized.
As for if you'll be able to watch them, Harmy did release SD downscales of the v1s but I don't know if that's in the cards for v2. Look up your DVD player and see if it is AVCHD compatible. Alternatively, you could just watch on your PC - but I speak from experience knowing how awful that is and I understand if that's not what you're looking for.
That said, I hope you stick around!
^Outside of the occasional shot where it pops up again it looks great, and I'm only sad that the SE isn't just that.
XyZ: No
Bingo: wut
bkev: snarky
Ziggy: Ziggy
Never mind. I didn't like the stills at first from your revised version but I found it looks better in motion.
^Yes, be wary of the refresh rates issue. It essentially "guesses" how inbetween frames would look, so - in short - if a film was originally created at the standard 23.976 (somebody correct me on that if I'm incorrect), when shown on a TV player with a refresh rate of 120/240/etc. it will look like it was filmed on video. Star Wars moves like an episode of a sitcom!
I personally adore this feature when playing old video games that have a tendency to lag, but with movies it tends to be really jarring. If you're asking us about what kind of TV to get then it would probably bother you; make sure you can get one that turns off that feature, or doesn't have it at all.
I'm on a Mac and Bootcamp simply says it's unable to rearrange the space. I've researched the error and there are a few solutions, but most involve tinkering with the system in a way I'm not comfortable with (I can navigate Command Prompt in Windows, but Terminal in Mac is a whole nother story) or using pay programs to defrag my macbook. Anyway, I'll probably give it one more go next time I'm home and I have my install discs handy.
edit: of all things that have been preventing me from partitioning my hard drive, it appears it was my copy of the Star Wars Holiday Special. Not sure why my computer can't move the ISO, but hey. Ended up using this guide to diagnose my problems.

If my computer would fucking partition and allow me to use bootcamp I would. But nope. My computers somehow always end up damaged goods...
No, seriously. I'd be all over this if I could just partition my computer...
It is now 4 AM. I can do my work any time I want, it's just a matter of focus. And want. More want, I think.
:(
Yeah, I'll be reading Zippy from now on.

Aw man I've dug myself in a deep hole. Here's hoping I can get out.
But, I'm better than Poochy. Come on man.
Starring, of course, bkev. Who was never in this show. It's like a spin-off, but better. Because it has bkev.

Why do you do that to yourself? ;) I gave up on Sonic many years ago, only to pull out the Genesis every once in a while for a few more hours of defeat.
It's okay. I'll never even attempt the emeralds in Sonic 2. :P
Is it possible you could post some screencaps for us to see as well? I'm curious as to the quality myself. I've seen one bootleg set before, and the bitrate on that one was pretty atrocious. Then again, my friend picked that up at Comic-con...
Well. I opened a whole new can of worms.
Loving Archer. Would recommend it to any fan of the preceding Sealab 2021 or Frisky Dingo. What this has over Sealab is occasional character development and consequences. Also, the way it riffs on the spy genre is pretty fun. And gotta love all the anachronisms regarding what time period it actually takes place in - love that they have cell phones and reel-to-reel computers.
Highly recommended if you want a good laugh.
Finally got Hyper Sonic in Sonic 3 & Knuckles. That only took me ten years... and multiple computers... and hitting the "reset" button every time I failed at Get Blue Spheres. The abuse of power it offers is amazing; I especially love the "kill everything on screen" double jump. Shame it doesn't work with bosses, though I understand why haha.
^Gotta admit I'm surprised you have The Batman. I never would have thought you would enjoy anything not Batman TAS on the DC Animated spectrum, to be honest.

Pot, meet kettle. I rarely make heads or tails of what Bingo says and it's only gotten worse with time. Perhaps the problem lies with me?
And not to turn this into an attack thread, but your copycat-in-jest posts like the one above probably confound me the most.
We can't guarantee that's the same person, but his question about the algorithms does leave me.. interested.
It sure would be nice to know if Laserman was alive.
If there's one thing I'm jealous of my father for it's that he got to go to the 1964 World's Fair. I can't explain my fascination with it other than the spirit of optimism it must have provided, and the wonder it created - not only for children, but for adults alike. I have seen the Unisphere, but I was there before I realized its significance. One day I'll probably walk Flushing Meadows and only try to imagine what it was like.
