Have I told you about my condition?
Thanks for tuning in folks! I don't know when I'll be on next but I'll update you.
Five (almost six)... and hey. You remember the game, too - probably not as fondly as I do, but that's nostalgia too in a way.
I feel no nostalgia for the movie, just the game.
^Tune in and find out! It's an acquired taste. I dont hate it, but you could chalk that up to both nostalgia goggles and my being more a casual gamer.
Note time. Switched back to PC version because problems seem to deal mostly with the menu and I remembered the quicksave button command so I won't have to pull it up anymore. Will stream for at least one hour. Procaster Mac has no game overlay feature, so I won't be able to chat while playing unfortunately.
^Thank goodness that didn't pan out...

My favorite part is force-pushing the crowd. This one alien says "STOP PUSHING ME!" over and over again.
No longer live. Next time I'll set a time ahead so it might be easier to join in. Game won't let me save, it crashes.
edit: note new title of thread. Due to complications with Crossover Games I have chosen instead to use my Windows 7 computer and play the PSX version via emulator - a plus for you, Mr. 005. Unfortunately, it makes the game look even worse than it is due to graphical differences; even with smoothing filters, the clipping is atrocious.
It's a top-down 3D view game. Control is decent mostly, but awkward when platforming challenges get shoed in. It's just not very innovative.
Hi all,
I've been replaying this PC gem. And by gem, I mean nostalgia glasses are in full force as i play this mediocre excuse for a game. I've been livestreaming it here, but it's currently offline. If anyone's interested I'll let you know when it's back up.
Videos of what I've played so far are in my history. Sadly, even though I turn off the cursor in settings, Livestream still displays one. I don't know how to change that, and doing this on a Mac is nothing but trouble to begin with so there's no way I'm going to be able to fix that.
I was always a bigger fan of TNG, so that probably explains why I don't mind new Trek. When I saw it, I essentially thought that it achieved its goal of being more appealing to the mainstream without necessarily pandering to them. Sure, it was action-packed on a level most Trek films are not, but I enjoyed the writing and scenarios quite a bit.
That said, I'm interested in seeing what they do with Khan. How will they handle this if Khan has no vendetta against Kirk? Will they still have an interesting dynamic? Only time will tell. I hope it's not just a retelling of his introduction episode, I'll say that much.
ANCHORMAN
Y U GIVE UP ON THEME?
Pet Sounds - from Pet Sounds. Usually I'm an audio purist and prefer the original mixings, but this song sounds SO much better in stereo. Kudos to whoever did the mixing.

No big revelation. I just liked it and thought it was much better than the two previous versions.
^I think part of the critical reception, and I hate to say it, stemmed from Ledger's death. I can certainly guarantee you the man wouldn't have won that oscar if it wasn't a posthumous one. I'm not denying that he did more than justice to the role - because, he really did - but much of the hype and positive reviews probably had a lot to do with his death.
^Too old for Wacky Races? Damn, Frink!
...but seriously. You're definitely the Muttley type.

So did a lot of people. I remember everyone raving about it when it first came out.
Jeez. I'm not THAT poor at making avatars. Coincidentally, that's the same image I used to make mine.
I challenge you all to not take this thread seriously. Please, don't bring the negativity that comes from General SW and Politics anywhere else. Let this die, or make fun of it Frink style.
...what? You said flame on.
^Nah, dude. Like, it's Cool.
Commander Cool.
