Livestream of The Phantom Menace PSX/PC game. LIVE AGAIN AT 7:30 PST TONIGHT!

My favorite part is force-pushing the crowd. This one alien says "STOP PUSHING ME!" over and over again.

YES. I always liked going after the guards there, too. If you killed enough people, you get stuck because Anakin says "I won't help a murderer like you!"

@Leonardo: there's this one jump that gets difficult in the swamp level, I think I know what you mean.

All in all, as I'm replaying the game, I realize that it's fun. Outside of forced platforming segments like the above, it's entertainng. Not really stand-out good, but... not awful! And the Mos Eisley level almost feels like an open world. There are plenty of glitches though, like the people you help that sometimes don't give you your reward (the woman who loses her child in Theed, for instance. Where's my full health pack, woman?)

No longer live. Next time I'll set a time ahead so it might be easier to join in. Game won't let me save, it crashes.

edit: note new title of thread. Due to complications with Crossover Games I have chosen instead to use my Windows 7 computer and play the PSX version via emulator - a plus for you, Mr. 005. Unfortunately, it makes the game look even worse than it is due to graphical differences; even with smoothing filters, the clipping is atrocious.

Hi all,
I've been replaying this PC gem. And by gem, I mean nostalgia glasses are in full force as i play this mediocre excuse for a game. I've been livestreaming it here, but it's currently offline. If anyone's interested I'll let you know when it's back up.

Videos of what I've played so far are in my history. Sadly, even though I turn off the cursor in settings, Livestream still displays one. I don't know how to change that, and doing this on a Mac is nothing but trouble to begin with so there's no way I'm going to be able to fix that.

Abrams is Destroying Star Trek like Lucas has Destroyed Star Wars

I was always a bigger fan of TNG, so that probably explains why I don't mind new Trek. When I saw it, I essentially thought that it achieved its goal of being more appealing to the mainstream without necessarily pandering to them. Sure, it was action-packed on a level most Trek films are not, but I enjoyed the writing and scenarios quite a bit.

That said, I'm interested in seeing what they do with Khan. How will they handle this if Khan has no vendetta against Kirk? Will they still have an interesting dynamic? Only time will tell. I hope it's not just a retelling of his introduction episode, I'll say that much.

Dark Knight Rises - Now that we know the cast
Time

^I think part of the critical reception, and I hate to say it, stemmed from Ledger's death. I can certainly guarantee you the man wouldn't have won that oscar if it wasn't a posthumous one. I'm not denying that he did more than justice to the role - because, he really did - but much of the hype and positive reviews probably had a lot to do with his death.

And I would probably agree with you on all the ones that I have seen except King Kong. Care to elaborate on that? I know I'm a bit in the minority, but I thought Jackson really overdid style vs. substance in that movie. And I have an irrational hatred of Jack Black, which doesn't help.
