The Vaultbreakers Collection - Disney Preservations

^The sound? Yeah. It was there when I saw it in imax 3D. I can't speak on the animation differences, though; they're too minuscule for me to recall unprompted. This review seems to imply that most were corrected but that a few remain.

Update: I received the discs today and I'm thinking about how to distribute them as we speak. I'll probably up them in iso format, wherever they go. Note that they're both single-layer DVDs.

I wish I could buy the 3D disc without having to buy the Diamond Edition in that set; the colors are so much better, but I don't know if my PS3 will downconvert it to 2D...

I know Myspleen is more strict with custom DVDs these days but I figure Beauty and the Beast (at the least) should be ok given that it's in a different aspect ratio and all of the gaffes that were fixed on the SE are not to be found. For instance, while the original sequencing was retained on the theatrical cut found on the DVD sans "Human Again", said cuts contain the redrawn portions for the iMax edition back when the SE came out. I'm not 100% sure about the BR but that was the case with the DVD releases..

Idea: Any hope for killing the "NOOOOOOOOOO"? (in the 2011 blu ray)
Time

Well it's not out yet. You_Too has posted some snaps from their '97 ANH preliminary work here. Also, I was just saying that since the timing should be identical between editions of the movie (most of the changes are visual w/out additional timing or have to do with sound), you could flat-out replace the soundtrack whole. It would certainly be easier than creating a custom mix.

As for long term effects I think addiction and the risk of death make alcohol way more dangerous than weed could ever be. The only long term effects from weed you really have to worry about is lung cancer and that can be greatly reduced by using a vaporizer (or even a bong). Eating it of course eliminates that risk all together but who can afford to do that regularly?

Believe me, I have a family history. My mother's liver essentially does not function. I'm very aware of how it can go wrong, I've watched it happen, so I'll know if it does.

Agreed mildly on the "other world" comment regarding shrooms. Damn, now I DO want to write about my experience. I'll get back to you on that one, but I'll probably just link it to a post from my blog. Because it's definitely gonna be tl;dr for this thread.

edit: oh @Leo: YES. That's another part of why I quit, I put on 20 pounds last summer and I can attribute at least 15 of them to the munchies.

Shrooms just made me very bubbly and laughy and then they went downhill when I realized I actually had things to do in the morning. It's something I could probably describe in detail in person, but would end up tl;dr in text and/or might get lost in translation (actually I should get back into writing. Maybe that would be a good place to start.)

As for weed, I started fucking up my grades so I wanted to cut it out. But then I tried again recently, and all I said to myself was "well, this is nice, but I don't really need it." And I was very proud of myself for it.

I still drink, but pretty much on weekends only. The long-term effects seem less crippling than those of marijuana (unless I end up with a problem, which - trust me - isn't happening) so I mostly prefer that.

^This. You definitely have to think about this when considering the sequel trilogy. It will suffer the same way many thought Prometheus did design-wise, no matter what. Hell, even the prequels did (and I actually rather liked some of the designs for the ships/locations [though not all, of course].)
