Team Negative1 - The Empire Strikes Back 1980 - 35mm Theatrical Version (Released)
Time

For the record, I never flat-out claimed this was a hoax.  And neither has Frink.  The "proof" he was looking for is regarding whether or not -1 is still involved.  I just asked if anyone was going to bother exploring moth3r's claim that they could have been 2004 DVD color corrections; suffice to say, his later retraction satisfied me.

A little less snark all around would be nice.  I'm gonna keep my trap shut from here on out and keep the lolz to off-topic mocking.

The blog.  I may be incorrect about all of them, but he listed at least one of them for sale and then told us it sold.

These rescans lead me to believe either this is not the case, or the buyer joined the Team.

He did sell it; that print is gone.

My inside source says that a new better condition 35mm print has been acquired.

Interesting.  If I recall correctly they never mentioned that part when talking about their rescans...

Yeah, my removed comment was calling them out on this but my evidence went back to September so I felt like it wasn't recent enough.

This deal is getting worse all the time!

Either I have offended Moth3r, or am unworthy to be acknowledged by them.

Dude, don't sweat it if someone takes awhile to respond to your PMs.

edit: am I the only person who the advanced text editor has been randomly switching formatting on recently?  For software out for like 5 years this still has a ton of crippling bugs.

All right. I'll be that guy.

If you have so many down converted versions available, why can't we at least have a SD workprint by now? I get not releasing the raw scan but we are being spoonfed the same content over and over; many of these screens you've been posting, we saw ages ago. It's hard to get excited when you're clearly withholding content.

I tried to watch the Holiday Special last night for the first time in full.  Usually, I tend to skim it.  What a mistake that was.

Wow.  I was with a few friends who did this to humor me, and one of them loved it.  Well, at least, for some reason he was captured by the Diahann Carroll segment.  Other than that, though, we all hated it.  I mean, I couldn't even ironically enjoy it.  Turned it off halfway through the cartoon.  And yes, for the record, we did use the rifftrax for part of it.

Worst decision I've made this week.

Turn in your fandom card, and clean out your locker. ;)

I did forget to mention that it does one thing none of the films manages.  The Holiday Special actually deals with the Empire and normal people.  In this regard, the fascist regime we're only told about in the films shines through.  Not only is it fun to watch random Imperial soldiers be dicks to Chewbacca's family, it's interesting to see the propaganda film angle they put on the Cantina scene (OK, I finished it last night...)

I wish that there were still so few commercials on network TV.  For God's sake, it felt like watching Hulu.
