List of media with different versions from BD (for preservation purpose)
Time

a few for your list

Apocalypse Now - VHS, LD & DVD versions were in the 2.00:1 AR as per DoP instructions. BD was the fully restored 2.35:1 ratio

Star Trek VI : The Undiscovered Country - same as above

Top Gun - LD and VHS versions were presented in in 2.00:1 AR

Predator 2 - Now this is interesting. i remember having a UK VHS version of this in widescreen and it was certainly in the 2.00:1 ratio and not 1.85:1 as the DVD and BD were.

Info: APOLLO 13 HD DVD to Blu-ray disc - Atomik Monkey BD25 (* unfinished project *)
Time

regarding the IMAX version of Apollo 13, this is what i would like to see anyway but any project is appreciated :)

Disc one - HD-DVD video transfer (original 2.35:1 OAR) with Cinema / Laserdisc / Blu-ray DTS

Disc two - (cropped) IMAX version reconstructed from the HDTV 720p open matte rip (it was never filmed with IMAX cameras, just Super 35MM IIRC and was 'upscaled' so to speak for IMAX showings) perhaps have both IMAX and Theatrical cuts via seamless branching? not sure what audio mix was used though. was the DTS on the IMAX disc done specifcally for that version?

I'll try and screengrab my IMAX DVD version tonight and re-download the HDTV version from rutracker

Info: THE ARRIVAL - Special Edition (seeking a team up) (lots of useful info)
Time

I'm no expert when it comes to this type of thing but have learnt a lot from these boards regarding colour timing so i'll chime in with my 2c anyway but please don't take my words as gospel

looking at the shots of Warlock Sheen walking in what appears to be a warehouse (haven't seen this for a while in all honesty)

It certainly looks like the BD has a teal push to it as it looks too blue, this is eveident a few more caps provided as well. the DVD looks too pink though so i'd go with the 50% mix between ColourMatch'ed BD using DVD as color reference, and the corrected BD;

Info: List of movies with variable aspect ratio
Time

Catching Fire on BD is like The Dark Knight BD. it is 2.40:1 for majority for it but during the games it switches to 1.78:1 to replicate the IMAX showings

two more for the list but bear with me as i'm not 100% sure on info

The Amazing Spider-Man - IMAX version - 2.40:1 but had scenes that opened up to 1.90:1

Prometheus - IMAX version - opened up to 1.90:1 throughout

never saw these at IMAX though (last film i saw was Superman Returns in 3D) so i'm just going off old info from various places so if anyone has seen these and need to correct me, please do so

Add Hunger Games Catching Fire to that list as it switches from scope to re-formatted IMAX sequences throughout

one i would like to see would be Apollo 13

that was opened up for the IMAX version (but shortened as well due to technology contraisnts at the time). I have disc two from the R1 DVD set that contains the IMAX version and also had a 1.78:1 HDTV rip of the full theatrical cut as well on my laptop

OPC in London show an original Dolby print at least a few times a year need to get down and see it one day

You sure? i've seen it twice there now and it's been digital. you can tell when it's a digital because the picture is windowed boxed and doesn't have any imperfections that a print would have (scratches, reel change burns)

T1 is 35mm (via optimum releasing which is strange) though but it's the 2001 remaster with 5.1 remixed soundtrack

quick question

is there any noticable picture difference between the original and THX remastered release of Die Hard?

i'm hoping someone preserves the 35mm Stereo track from the original LD and couples it with the 5.1 remix that is reportedly based on the 70mm print. Pretty sure Jonno was in the process of capturing the 35mm audio last i heard

Hoping to see this new 4K remastered print at the weekend :)
