Help: looking for... Earthquake - Extended TV Version (1974)
Time

Since the Blu-ray got announced yesterday for release in the US on June 4th (hopefully with corrected audio this time round)

I was wondering if anyone had a copy of the extended edition that was shown on NBC over two nights

details here are from IMDB:-

For the initial network television showing broadcast on NBC in September 1976, additional footage was shot to lengthen the film in order to show it over two nights. The most extensive segment of new footage is a subplot of a newlywed couple (Debralee Scott and Sam Chew Jr.) on a flight to Los Angleles so the husband can interview for a job with Stuart Graff (Charlton Heston). The plane tries to land as the earthquake hits, but the pilots are able to regain control and fly away before the runway breaks up. Other significant segments are new scenes with Jody (Marjoe Gortner) and Rosa (Victoria Principal), which establish Jody’s obsession with Rosa, as well as one short scene in a pawn shop with Buck (Jesse Vint) and Hank (Michael Richardson), who play Marjoe’s roommates in the theatrical version. Contrary to popular belief, these additional scenes were not “leftover” footage from the original 1974 theatrical release. Rather, the footage was filmed almost two years later by NBC to expand the film. These additional scenes were shot without the original director Mark Robson, who opted out, (in fact, he loathed the additional scenes), but they were shot with Universal’s approval. In addition, two deleted scenes originally shot for the theatrical release were re-inserted into the television version, including a narrative opening about the San Andreas Fault, as well as a scene of Rosa brushing off a guy (Reb Brown) trying to give her a ride on his motorcycle. Incidentally, the version frequently running on the American cable channel “American Movie Classics” is the television version, and not the original theatrical version.

Somewhere I have an HD version of True Lies that was muxed to the D-Theater DTS track.

I don't know if that would fit what you're looking for or not.  IIRC there was also a Japan DVD release with the DTS track and it might still be available if you're willing to brave Amazon.co.jp.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D-VHS#D-Theater

There used to be several other of the D-Theater DTS tracks floating around at HDBits.org if that is of interest.

Edit: Apologies, I'm assuming there is a particular reason you're looking for laserdisc rips in particular since I'm having no trouble finding several of the ones on your list available on DVD or BD releases.

not sure if it's any use but there was also a DVD release in China that included a 1536kbps DTS-ES track

got that and The Abyss in my collection

Help: looking for... Waterworld DTS 4.0 original mix (anyone have the DTS CD-Rom?)
Time

found this little titbit over at LDDB

[](http://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/09310/43118/Waterworld-(1995)[](http://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/09310/43118/Waterworld-(1995 "www.lddb.com/laserdisc/09310/43118/Waterworld-(1995")[http://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/09310/43118/Waterworld-(1995](http://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/09310/43118/Waterworld-(1995 "www.lddb.com/laserdisc/09310/43118/Waterworld-(1995"))

A 4.0 channel DTS theatrical mix that was remixed to 5.1 at DTS insistence for the DTS LaserDisc release.

That info was added by the very knowlegable disclord over there

I know the first release DVD had a 5.0 Dolby Digital track but later releases added an upmixed .1 LFE channel

anyone have the DTS CD-Roms for this?

Info: Jaws - PCM mono track

I'm curious to know what the thinking is behind encoding mono as 2.0 dual as opposed to 1.0.

I personally appreciate the dual encoding for the simple reason that my receiver can't spread 1.0 across the front speakers (I only get the centre), but presumably the majority of people don't share this problem and 2.0 is just wasted space.

out of curiosity Jon, what reciever have you got?

don't hold me to the bitrate on the DTS track on Jaws but i'm sure it was half bitrate. will dig a bit deeper and report back

not sure about that signature edition in all honesty. i thought that got the 5.1 remix if i'm honest. I've got the laserdisc that i linked to in the OP
