Info Wanted: questions about... The Goonies - Extended
Time

Bobson Dugnutt said:

Has anyone got another VHS recording of the TV cut? Specifically the shop scene as the recording I’ve got at the moment is terrible quality and is blown out. I’m looking into getting the footage upscaled, and can’t do it with what I’ve currently got.

goons

And if anyone does want this extended cut, I’ve got an edit in the works combining the DVD and VHS footage into the Blu-Ray for an extended cut. More info here

in the spleen are some edits.
maybe there better versions…

so i should say maybe the last 15 years of behind the scene stuff (web uploads, tv specials or so…)
from ep 1 - 9,solo,RO,Mando…

Ah, I see. Well, maybe you’ll find something interesting on this thread:
Beyond the OT Documentaries/Making-Ofs (YouTube, Vimeo, etc. finds)

There’s also this thread:
General Star Wars Documentaries (YouTube, Vimeo, etc. finds)
Pretty much all of these documentaries are TV specials covering either an individual (like George Lucas or Mark Hamill) or focused on Star Wars as a phenomenon. Most of these were made within the last 25 years or so.

thanks,but most i know.
there was 2-3 things that was intressting…
i recomned the return of skywalker bonus disk.
there many scenes from the OT in there.

Edge Codes documentary (2004) by Travesty Productions
https://vimeo.com/15059269 (Trailer)
https://vimeo.com/448590129 (Full Doc)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkXCbgb_guI (Full Doc)

Website Archive : https://web.archive.org/web/20040925062037/http://edgecodes.com/

Quote : "Film editing has been called ā€œThe Music of Lightā€, ā€œSculpture in Timeā€, and ā€œThe Mobile Architecture of Filmā€. But what is montage? What role does film editing play in the art of cinema? How has it evolved, what does it reflect in the world around us, and where is it taking us next?

The documentary film Edge Codes addresses these most fundamental of cinematic questions, and elevates awareness and appreciation of the history, art, craft, and technology of motion picture editing. In combining film excerpts and interviews with eminent film editors, directors, and academics, Edge Codes demonstrates with its own style the very principles and techniques it examines.

Edge Codes delivers an entertaining and informative exploration of the motion picture’s ā€œvisual languageā€: its vocabulary of shots and sequences, its grammar of image assembly, and its evolution as a living, changing, global language."

Documentary’s focus is on the artistry behind editing film. Star Wars and George Lucas show up multiple times. [Connections to George’s film education history and the Canadian Film Board; editing techniques in Star Wars which were needed because of limitation of the shot film/characters; section on the EditDroid; and the transition to all digital and editing/rewriting/changing in all phases of a film’s development.]

Probably remember hearing about this doc coming out in the year leading up to RotS and probably the first time I heard the word Edge Codes. Unfortunately zero technical discussion of how edge codes work or exists but if you are interested in the theories or techniques used in film and how they evolved over time with the evolution of the equipment involved, then this is well recommended documentary to check out.

Bobson, I don’t know if you’re a fan pf the Clone Wars but if you’d give it some thought, would you make a ultimate version with your fan edit and the last 4 Episodes with the Clone Wars? It would be a pretty epic extended edition.

And if you add in the 2D Clone Wars (How Palpatine got kidnapped) and Fallen Order (Order 66), it would be the true extended edition! Also add in Obi-wan’s message audio from Rebels during the final minuts of the credits.

there some out there…no need to do this again…
